I am currently running Resurrection Remix v6.1.0 ROM on my Redmi Note 5, and I wanted to flash the Google Product Sans. I found the file for RR ROM and downloaded it, then flash it on TWRP. The flashing went successful, but when I reboot the phone it's still using the original font (meaning the flashing failed). Is it because of the file or because of anything else? Please help me, I am a newbie at this whole thing. Thanks

Hi,
My Sprint Note 3phone is currently using a Kitkat ROM and TWR recovery. I tried some Lollipop ROMS. After flash the ROM, the phone boot to the page of Android setting, then the UI crashed and the phone reboot, showing Modem error.
Anyone has similar experience or have any idea why this happen? Thanks a lot.

Hey bud first can you get into download mode ? If so great, now back up all your ( music, video, pics ) to the desktop of your PC or sd card. Download a fresh copy of Lollipop 5.1.1 to the desktop of your PC. Boot into download mode and odin flash the stock lollipop 5.1.1 OS the modem comes with it. Then root it and odin flash a TWRP recovery version compatible with lollipop. Now make a back up of your rooted lollipop OS, OK now your ready to flash lollipop ROMS !!!

Hello i wanted to Flash Lineage Os on my s2 but ran into some problems. I came from omnirom with twrp 2.7.1.0 installed.
So the flash process hung itself up i tried again and it didnt work.
Well i suppose the bootloader is unlocked cause i flashed omnirom right.
Since i already deleted omnirom i cant check now with the dialpad.
So I thought about updating twrp but since its not after 2.8.4 i cant flash .img files.
I would prefer to flash it without heimdall cause i have only strangely configured computers available.
So I tried to flash twrp 3.0. 4 or something like this which I found as a zip file the installation runs just fine says it was successful but after rebooting to recovery it is 2.7 again.
I dont necessarily want to update twrp if i can flash lineage but i guess i have to?
Are there any recommendations for a lost soul.
All the best
Sorry for the false place for this maybe someone can move it to the right spaxe thx

Please follow one of the guides available, like this one, or the one in my signature.
You have to be aware that twrp 3 requires kernel isorec support, so you must have a kernel that supports isorec, and also you must have a 1GB system partition to be able to install any nogut or mm rom.
thank you so much managed to find this guide before you answered.
anyway thanks so much my s2 is running lineage smoothly and now we saved some piece of electronics of garbage to early the planet and me are thanking you so much for every one having the same problem as me go with philz touch recovery and then flash the twrp you want from there
all the best
Hello guys, I know It may sound funny but I was tweaking around the TWRP 3.1.1-0 and when I tried to reboot it said: no os installed are you sure you wish to reboot?
Ive made no backups and i know nothing about flashing, roms, installing android and all those stuff I've seen when I Googled it. Can anyone give me some light? Step by step kinda thing?
Ps: I have not rebooted or whatsoever the phone so far after deleting this stuff XD idk if that would help
Just flash any custom rom and gapps using twrp...and the phone will boot..

At this point you have to install a rom. You can choose to revert back to miui or install any nougat based from. If you want to install miui head over to en.miui.com and under device find "Redmi Note 4x", there would be global and developer builds available, download the build pertaining to Redmi Note 4x International version.
But if you want any custom ROM then download any ROM from the forums, but make sure it is ONLY nougat (7.1.2) version, because twrp 3.1 .1 doesn't support Oreo Roms.
If you choose to install miui make sure you have the lazy flasher zip with you. Now carefully follow the steps-
1. Copy the files to your pc or to an SD card .
2. From twrp - format data
3. Wipe - system, data, cache, dalvik
4. Copy the files to internal storage of device using a USB cable if the files are on pc. (ROM file , and lazy flasher if rom is miui)
5. Now install the ROM zip .
6. Flash lazy flasher if the ROM you installed was miui.
7. Now reboot (if you installed miui it will say no os installed, but just reboot)

Thanks so much sweet, I'll try this out tomorrow when I have my laptop with me, hopefully I'll be able to resurrect my phone
i just bought the RN5P today and decided to test out some custom ROMs. the Recover and ROM installation went great for the RR and AOSP, but everytime i tried to install the Google Apps Aroma, it's always stuck and went blank then goes to restart the TWRP after the last screen when it says "Install GApps". it's only restarting the TWRP not the device it self. one thing that i notice the second time when i tried to install the Open GApps Aroma, there's error "E:Legacy property environment did not initialize successfully. Properties may not be detected." i have tried installing it with official TWRP and the red wolf one (forgot the name), non is successful. but the official TWRP will give me error encryption thing, and asked me to enter decrypt key and the TWRP needed to be flashed again. is this only happening to me? i enjoy trying custom ROMs, so please help me
This is Redmi Note 5 plus fourm not 5 pro, so ask your question in proper fourm, thanks
