HELP! I have a Mate 10 pro and for some strange reason I can't send mms with any other messaging app other then the stock huawei messaging app. I've tried changing APN's, factory resetting, clearing cache, but nothing works!
If it helps I have a US variant (BLA-A09 8.0.0.125(C567) and on MetroPCS.

Hey,
I was removing system apps on the stock rom and i accidentaly deleted Smsc and the default text messaging app. Thought i could replace them with handcent and it would work. Its currently crashing or just not sending texts. Can that be why its not working? Can someone send me the apk (with the odex, if you have it)?
Sent from my almost stock Xt910
As the title says, I'm unable to send any text messages using the default messaging app on moto E. I have my phone rooted. Messaging is a system application. I'm able to recieve messages though. If I change the default messaging app to some other app like hangouts, everything works. I have tried making a backup of the messaging app, uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing works. Also cleared data. When I send a message, it's stuck at "sending...". Check screenshot.
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would you try switching the default app to hangouts or another messaging app then switch the default back to the stock messaging app and see if that helps.
I'm using the stock lg sms app and the badge is showing an unread message. I've deleted all messages, cleared the data on the sms app and even moved the sms default to hangouts and back.
Any help would be appreciated.
Go into your recovery and wipe the cache partition it will force all of the apps to refresh their data that way the notification's will also reset. There are several things that cause this, this may just be a glitch but if that first wipe doesn't work try wipe the dalvik cache as well. Both of those wipes should help but if that still does not work try us tb to uninstall it then download a rom and extract the apk and re install it. If that doesn't work just re install the rom or go to a previous back up when you had the messages. Just read them. I personally recommend just going to cm it does not have all of the junk like the stock rom. If you do plan to extract the apk then look in the system app folder it may also be in the private app folder. Also try to switch to a different SMS app I think that the google messenger is the best. Mostly because it has material design and is the fastest over all.
Figured it out. I loaded textra, but kept the default on the LG app. In textra there was an old text, which was deleted last week. Removed the text, removed textra and badge issue resolved.
I use chomp SMS as my messaging app, and after an app update the MMS feature has gotten wonky. Anything MMS related is very slow, from adding a pic, sending, and even going into the MMS settings, the phone bugs out and lags. I went through a bunch of support with Chomp and nothing has fixed it. Here's steps I have taken. -Force Stop app, clear data, clear cache, uninstall, reboot into recovery, wipe cache, reboot phone, and install again, and same problems. I know it's not a problem with Chomp itself, because my fiance, with the same phone model, has no issues what so ever with chomp. Feels like the app isn't completely removing. Anyone have any suggestions? Anywhere to look to manually delete files?
Hi. I'm having problem with sending and receiveing MMS from any other SMS app than the stock one on Honor 7.
Software version PLK-L01C432B390; EMUI 4.0.3, Android 6.0.
Here's a list of what I've already tried to resolve this:
-full phone wipe
-nonstock Messaging apps: Pulse SMS, Mood Messenger and some others
-clearing apps data
-redownloading Carrier settings for MMS and Internet
-setting manually APN for MMS in apps.
Can anyone suggest what to do to solve the problem with MMS in nonstock apps? The stock app is rubbish.
