Amazfit pace spare part/module - Amazfit

Hi all,
Anyone would know where could i get amazfit replacement part online. I would need to replace the barometer cum mic module.
Thank you in advance.

The only place that was posted here that had some spare parts were http://mistore.pt (from Portugal), but I think they actually don't have the parts in stock but sell parts taken from broken device so you may or not find it available for sale...

I have a bricked watch which you could use.

Hi adityamalik

[Q] car dock for OEM extended battery

Searched the forum and all I could find for car docks that work with the OEM extended battery was the CD mount dock (I forget the brand). That one doesn't work for me (tried it and had to send back, just doesn't work with my CD player/stereo configuration).
I'm in desperate need of a decent car dock (OEM, generic, doesn't really matter) that works with the Rezound w/OEM extended battery. I have a nice dock that works with the stock battery but doesn't come close to working with the bulk of the extended. Anyone have one they'd recommend?

The OEM car dock works with it. There are 2 inserts so you can use with no case, with case and with extended battery. I have one and use it with my extended battery after I removed the inserts.

You could check some of these out. I personally like the Craig's Dock.

I will 2nd this. Works like a charm.

I'm using the iBOLT with the extended battery. I'm pretty sure that's the one that Verizon sells as OEM, and it works great. You can find it online as well.

What I did was used the standard iBolt dock that has all the plates and removed them. Works perfectly for me. Let me know if you want to see a picture.
I found the iBolt works best for me with the flat plate with no back...extended battery fits like a glove in that...shifts a bit without it.
The ibolt comes with three plates, one for the bare phone, one for a case, one with the OEM extended battery.
Craigsdock works with any of the above but it requires fixing the USB plug into one position, it's not easy to adjust it if you switch between batteries.
Awesome thanks everyone, will check these out when I'm home. Wish I would have posted this question BEFORE my road trip, hehe

I use Craigs Dock and love it.
I use the iBolt(OEM) it cost 14.95 on ebay (35$ cheaper then craigs) and imo, looks nicer(cradles phone like a glove) easier to use the plates lock-in-and-out with little effort, stays in place, comes with dash and obvious windshield mount. build quality is great for the pice comes with 3 plates, one for stock, stock w/slim case, and extended battery.

With my latest ibolt acting up on me (I got the free replacement that fixed the charging issues from the first gen), I'm ready to switch to something else. This one seems not to want to trigger car mode/AC Charging when it gets hot in the car. It works in the morning but not in the afternoon.
A lot of people here swear by the craigs dock, like I mentioned before, once you set it up for a battery/phone configuration, you're stuck with it.

thx, for the information , I'm going to try ith a second time , but it's going to need some time cause I'm in Europe and the package comes from LA ,
so does anyone know wher i can get parts from broke down Atrix phones or somthing ?

friends my touch was working 50% so I tried some packing near front camera (may be fingerp sensor) area below battery as shown in another thread and 90% touch recoverd, but unfortunately the digitizer got torn and touch got unresponsive. I purchased touchpad locally in mumbai at rs850 but after fixing it was not responding. it seems that the flex cable as shown in above link looks bended.
Thus my question since the power module which is on the same flex cable works properly, is it still possible that the touch digitizer which also connects the same cable may not work. or something wrong with new touchpad (tried 2 of them). or some other problem at the junction on motherboard.
at present phone can power on, charge and pc connectivity only.
I dont have any technical knowledge, experts please give some advise.
thanks..

WRT your camera...
I have disassembled and re-assembled this phone about a dozen times, most recently I replaced the peripheral board which sits near the top end of the device - I think you should do that. When prying this phone open its extremely easy to torque that board or scratch one of the ribbon cables or pcb, (or in my case to pry the power button off it's solder points.)
My guess is that replacing the board should address your camera issue (provided you didn't damage the camera itself - you'll need to connect it to the new board). The price on replacement boards has been steadily dropping for a while now, so it really can't hurt to try: w w w . amazon. c o m /Headphone-Audio-Simcard-Holder-Power/dp/B00Q2MLNTW/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421684856&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=droid+dna+replace+sim+audio+board
If it turns out that the camera itself is damaged - replacing the board doesn't work - you can also replace the camera itself for pretty cheap.
I'm not sure about the GPS but it certainly could be on the same peripheral board as the camera. Worth a shot?
---------- Post added at 05:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:50 PM ----------
This was very helpful in doing testing before/after I replaced the board: h t t p s : / / p l a y .google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mtorres.phonetester&hl=en
Do not under any circumstances buy replacement parts on ebay! I made this mistake TWICE and received/installed boards that were defective each in their own unique way (one had no sim, one had no camera & proximity sensor). ebay is crap: everybody lists "new" for condition and then sends you equipment that is clearly beat to hell by some noob who apparently disassembled their phone using the jaws of life.

Wireless charging kit?

Hi
Just picked up my new u11 and am looking for a wireless charging kit that won't block the rear mic.
Had anyone seen it modded a wireless USB-C kit?
Thanks

Any of them would work, you'll just have to route the ribbon cable around it.

I'm looking for this as well.
I've got a wireless charging setup in the car, and it's just so convenient.
It'll be a deal breaker for me if I can't find a Wireless charging for U11.
most new phones has wireless charging option, I'm really surprised they did not include this basic feature in a high end phone like the U11

unless we can attach something to the battery compartment.
it'll be through the USB-C port as an adapter, the ugly method.
I had one of those when I got my HTC 10 last year. Stuck it between the phone and a Spigen Rugged Armor case. It literally worked for one day, then stopped working.

Samsung Dex experience with 3rd party lap-dock (HP Lap Dock, mirabook when it launche

Hi!
I want to sharing my experience during my usage with hp elite X3 lap dock I just bought. If anyone (and sometime later) bought another kind of lap-dock (mirabook?, nextbook?), I'll be very pleased if you share your experience here as well.
Well, sadly, these kinds of lap docks are not dex-supported out of the box (at least during the time writing this).
So, we'll need to UBL and flash kernel that have "universal dex" mod inside.
I found some things that are really amusing, and I posted this thread under the "Accessory" sub instead of Q&A because I hoped this thread to help everyone deciding buying this lap dock.
First and foremost, Pros and Cons..
Pros:
- Amazing build quality. Sleek, sturdy, and also amazing finish.
- Tactile keyboard. It's not a cheap one you'll find on cheap laptops. Very comfortable for long session typing (for me at least).
- Amazing display. I compared it to my colleagues windows 10 laptop that have 2 times the price, and imo, the display wins hands down.
- Wireless connectivity (with another bugged feature I'll tell below, and if you don't use it, won't hinder you as well).
- Amazing speaker (note, there is a bug on it, gonna tell you below as well).
- Cheap. Well, actually it is very pricey, but there are refurbished models with 150$ price tag when I bought it on ebay.
- Boots amazingly fast. At first I thought it only boots when I press and hold the power button for a long time (which, makes the booting actually longer). Turns out a single press at the power button turns on the device almost instantly.
Cons:
- The trackpad is not that comfortable. You can't click and drag. Right click register is tapping with two fingers (MacBook style). Scrolling up and down using two fingers is a disaster, since it often registers as a right click instead of scrolling. I ended up buying a Bluetooth mouse to solve this problem.
* Update (9 July 2018): This problem is fixed with oreo 8.0 update! Scrolling up and down is no longer a gassle, and two fingers tap easily registers as a right-click!
- No driver update from Android. Actually, the mouse problem is solved on a driver update. But sadly, the only way to update those drivers is using a HP Elite X3 smart phone.
- As far as I know, it is hard to search for a 45 W, USB C charger for the replacement (just in case something goes wrong with it).. I found that mostly USB - PD devices only shoots up to 30W, and I haven't found one that shows 45W.
Bugs:
- Related to audio:
I found that using a USB C connection (Samsung dex - mode), the audio produced is often crackled. When playing using the wireless mode (smart display by Samsung), it doesn't happen - even when playing the same audio files. So, it is either a driver problem, or a connection problem (I think it's related to the USB C provided, gonna buy another one soon to test).
* Update (9 July 2018): On oreo ROM, the audio no longer outputs to the lapdock... Very sad about it.. For now, I'm using a bluetooth headset to accomodate. If anyone finds out a Oreo Rom with audio output on lapdock, please share
- Related to wireless mode:
> Heck, I don't know the magic beyond it, but actually you can TYPE using the lap-dock keyboard when the phone is paired wirelessly! I thought the wireless mode only enables screen mirroring without input?
> That said, there is a problem though. Not all keys are working (windows key to trigger opening apps and other function keys don't work). Secondly, when we typed, it is registered twice. And sadly, I still don't know what to do with it.
- Related to charging the device:
> Somehow, charging the devices sometimes become quite a pain. At times, when the lap dock is turned off, it won't charge (at least, the battery indicator doesn't blinking to show it charges). It doesn't always happen as well, so I really don't know what caused it. Well, you can remedy it by plugging the charger cable when the lap dock is turned on and turn it off while still connecting to the charger.
* Update (9 July 2018): Never encountered this problem anymore. Weird since I don't get any software update for the lap dock itself.
Related to lap dock input (track pad, keyboard, and audio):
> When you plug in (or out) the charger, for a brief moment, the trackpad, keyboard, and audio is disconnected and reconnected again. Well, mostly this won't become a problem, but sometimes, when I am listening to a Bluetooth headphone, the audio suddenly rerouted to my lap dock instead of my phone.
> Sometimes, when you plug the phone using USB - C to the lap dock, it doesn't recognize the input devices (except for the monitor). Re-connecting the device solves the problem, but since Dex "rebooting" takes some time, sometimes it is just annoying.
* Update (9 July 2018): There are some Oreo ROM that doesn't recognize the keyboard and touchpad input. Currently, I'm using Alexis ROM 4.4 and it is working. Several days ago, update the ROM to v 5.3 but turns out it have the said problems, so I return back to 4.4.
That is all of my HP elite X3 lap dock review. Hope this helps you decide whether you want to buy one or not. Personally, it is a great buy for me, since the cons and the bugs doesn't affect me too much.
EDIT - 22 Jan 2018: Editing several things after using the lap dock for around two weeks.
EDIT - 9 July 2018: Updating it with oreo ROM experience.

It is using a USB-C connection. I won't say the connection is flawless, as sometimes it doesn't connect to the keyboard and mouse or having a non-HD output (simply re-plugging the phone does the work), but I won't say it is a struggle to make it work. It works like 90% of the time and when it is connected, we can use it without a problem (except the sound problem, see my explanation above).
Also, it have a micro Hdmi port. But, as far as I try, it doesn't work for mirroring the dex for another screen.
Thanks for this review.
I got the LapDock as well but sadly haven't been able to use it since Oreo Beta 3. Fingers crossed that one day Samsung will re-enable support for third party docks. Sigh...
I also found the trackpad experience particularly poor. The BT mouse is a good solution. Also I would sometimes have issues where if the USB-c cable were moved or nudged, DeX would reboot which is annoying as it takes quite a few seconds.
Also I found that the LapDock battery drains very fast when it is not in use. I would charge it to full, disconnect it from power and store it away. After only a week it would no longer have a charge.
I wonder if the new firmware makes a difference... I've been meaning to visit a Microsoft store to borrow an Elite x3 to use to update it. Do they even sell those anymore, though?

Agree with all of your points..
Except, for the nudging cable problem.. I often changes my phone place but never once I encounter the DeX got rebooted because of missing connection..
Somehow, the battery drains very fast. I think it is caused by the lap dock only enters hibernate mode instead of totally turning off..
I also wonder about the firmware difference... I read on the news that the firmware "fixes" trackpad (enables it to have a right click instead of tapping it with two fingers), and something regarding battery indicator...
Well I have a friend who tested the Mirabook at CES and he said the experience was pretty smooth and well designed.
He tried with a Samsunsg S8 and DeX launched quickly while the mb charged the phone.

Good to see such a thread! I sport the elite Dock since december as well, and I may have posted an issue elsewhere, which I'll repeat here as well, the 45W chargers only work if they deliver 2.25A, so some 2A don't charge it for some reason. Also, I don't know if some usb-c cables are more potent than others, but while the provided usb-c cable works (it's quite short though) another one I took from a wall usb-c adapter doesn't even though it allows simple data transfer.
It's a shame that we can't update firmware, even from a Windows laptop. By the way, it totally doubles as an external monitor for a laptop either with miracast or by plugging it with the same usb-c.
It's also annoying that I haven't found a reliable way to power it off and not put it in idle mode, so sometimes it drains overnight :/
I'm putting it aside for now, and I'll wait for the 'Linux on DeX' thzt samsung promised us, that will be a game changer!

Sadly no... Main problem is, Samsung check whether the device is dex compatible or not.. Only way to bypass it is by flashing custom kernel...
Now, got a cable connection also with new firmware, but not reliable. A question of order of connecting and powering?
But still no display with cable.
Anybody else with same problems?

1. For cable connection :
To be honest I don't have problem with cable connection (using batrom on nougat and renovate on Oreo). Well, sometimes it doesn't detect the keyboard / mouse or displays a non-HD screen. But, a simple reconnect fixes the problem.
2. Regarding flashing custom ROM and bug fix :
So far, I don't think so..
3. For mouse pad:
Mouse pad only works on Oreo firmware, and when there is no mouse input device.. It usually doesn't show up on hp elite, since hp elite already have TouchPad.
4. Regarding windows update :
AFAIK, you can only upgrade it using hp elite x3 phone. Currently no way to upgrade it using android..
Thanks!

1. Yes, since lumia is a windows phone... I don't have one though, so can't say a thing about it...
2. What Grey screen you mean?
3. What do you mean by display dark? No output at all?
Yes, no output at all, attached is my grey screen.
and the dark display when cable is connected, picture taken by s8+, only thing you see is reflection of the screen.
This guy has no grey connection screen like me! But a dark connection screen.

I can reproduce the cable problem: it seems to be the cable itself.
if i turn the plug the connection works or not.
if i swap both ends of the cable, the situation keeps the same.
