I would suggest you leave it plugged in for an hour or two and try again afterwards. Sometimes when the battery is completely empty it won't even turn on while charging. If that doesn't work, you may need a new battery or your charger is defekt.
Is there any indication your device is indeed charging?
The reasoning i gave you should work for smartphones aswell

have you tried manual reboot?? hold the power button and volume down for more the 30s
It's hard bricked.....don't responding... Only a Red flash blinking inside speaker grills when I plug it into charger
Let it sit on the charger for a while a red blinking light typically means the battery is dead and is in too low of a power state to boot the phone.
Try to unplug the battery, leave unpluged an hour, and the plug in again.
For this, you will need to open the phone, there are a lot of tutorials here about how to open the DNA.
They are bad news anyway.

Take it to a repair centre, you have a hardware fault.

[Q] Solid Red light when I connected to Charge

im getting solid Red Light when i connected to power. no charging not even recondnice by the computer.. What can i do to power on the phone..
i did hard reset too nothing happend....
i read some article about red light and some says to return to sony store and some says to unplug the battery and reconnect ... i dnt have warrenty to send it to sony.....so " if i change the battery does it works" ?
Sometimes it works with replacing the battery. Sometimes you need a new mainboard ( about 100 $)
I don't know if these "test buttons" works. Then your phone will be recognzied as S1Device and you could use trying S1tool (but i think it does not support Z2 )
Same problem
Hello,
I've got the same problem. No response at all with any button combination or the red reset button.
If I connect the usb cable to charger or PC red LED turns on but nothing else. The PC doesn't recognize it, not even if I connect it with volume down pressed. I opened it and disconnected the battery. With the battery disconnected it has the same behaviour, only red light if connected.
Any ideas of what I could try?
I wouldn't expect a dead battery causing this. I mean, if the phone can get the power from the charger then it should turn on even with the battery disconnected right?
I was thinking to charge it for two days and see if anything happens, just in case. Otherwise I will need to think on how to discharge the battery manually and see what happens.
I don't to buy a new battery unless I am sure that will help...

What happens if you disconnect the battery, put the charger cable in the phone and then hold the power button and volume up button for like 5 seconds.
Do you get the battery logo on the display then?
No... Nothing at all happens

Is it the original loader (Sony, 1500mah) + sony charging Cable?
I have chargers laying around everywhere, and I noticed that sometimes the phone did nothing while using samsung chargers 750mah).
When I put my phone in the charger the light turns red. Nothing on the screen.
When I take out the charger the light stays red for a long time.
But when it is off, and I take the battery out and then put it on the charger (without the battery), then the display shows a battery logo.

Poco overcharged overnight

hi guys i plugged my phone in original EU wallcharger at 9pm with battery status 51%, unplugged it at 1:30am(after 4.5hours) after that when pressing power button it was showing poco f1 logo + discharged battery logo at the same time it blinks and shutdown
now is completely dead zero reaction for any keys combination
Can i try do anything or should send it on warranty?
I haven't heard of this happening with an F1 before, but it happened to my old Moto g5. I suggest you leave it discharged for a while to fully run down then plug it in with the phone powered down for 3hours or so.
See if it will power on then
With the g5 I read that some battery protection feature was prone to triggering - with time it would reset
Good luck!
Try recharging it again, use different cable+wall plug.
Try powering on whilst plugged in to charger to check what's happening.
If not improving then it's obviously not normal, maybe a battery failure. Try to backup files if possible and get replacement under warranty.

Are you sure you turned ON the switch after plugging the charger. It happened to me as well. After leaving the device in charge for an hour, I realized I didn't even turn on the switch from the main board.

Yes. So what we do is, we first insert the charger in the plug and then we turn on the switch which is located just beside the plug point. The plug point will only start passing electricity once we turn on the switch.
Any update?
Completely dead....
All solutions didnt work, thanks for help guys.
