Every time when i connect my mobile to laptop for copying files between laptop and mobile. I have to select "Use USB to - Transfer Files" manually every time.by default it is set to Charging only. So is there any solution to connect USB as for : Transfer Files option When connected to Laptop/PC. what you guys think.?

i download data file mass effect 3 in my pc..when copy file to phone after 5 min
stop copying file ( portrait_suit_offense.m3g )
flash the phone & format memory phone But there still remain problem
portrait_suit_offense.m3g what this ???? never copy to phone
changed the cable and change the computer & os ( xp & 7 )...but still remain problem

Connect phone to PC via a USB mode (not as a portal) then make sure the debug mode is selected on the phone.
Start copying again and it should work.

i when enable usb debug mod cant access phone memory in my pc.

Hey heathenasparagus, you will need the following the access your device storage on mac (I use OSX 10.11.14 El Capitan)
1. Android File Transfer
2. USB Debugging on phone from Developer Settings
3. After installing Android File Transfer, go to system preferences on mac -> Users & Groups -> Current User (should be preselected) -> Login items (tick Android File Transfer)
When you connect your lg v10 to the computer, the android file transfer app may say it can't connect to the phone. Don't worry, this is because lg v10 prevents automatic MTP access. however when you connect your phone, the lg v10 should say 'allow computer to access the storage (yes/no)' or something like that, and just press yes. The Android File Transfer app will open by itself and you can drag and drop files over. This works with my H962 lg v10 on MM.
OK, I've been using Android phones for years and never had this problem!
When try to connect the phone to the pc I get the connection sound but nothing shows up in windows file manager? I've tried 3 cables (usb c to c and a to c).
I've clicked Transfer files on the s21, nothing.
But if I click transfer images I do get the phone appearing in file manager and I can access just the DMIC folder. So the cables working.
Is there some option deep in the phone that needs to be switched on to allow file transfer????

To answer my own question...
Samsung Smart Switch needs to be installed on the PC to provide the right drivers! Never had that before with any Android phone!!
Hey, so here's the story. I connected the cable to my pc and was transferring files to my pc (from find x3 pro).
While I was doing that I opened the bank app to authenticate my login on PC (so the web version of the bank as you to authenticate via fingerprint on mobile, to login) and it said something "hey, I cannot autheticate you, you need to go to 'charge only' on usb". I said "ok fine, I guess it's security" so I waited for file transfer to happen and then clicked that button. I logged in and all good.
HOWEVER, now if I cannot a usb cable the option to choose what to do (charge only, transfer files etc) does not appear anymore! It just charges only: so I cannot transfer anymore files.
I tried also enabling developer options and usb debug and usb mode "transfer files / mtp" but simply nothing happens.
Any help appreciated, thanks
