Hi all! I ordered a phone from ebay and it's supposed to arrive soon. The phone is supposed to be new, but after looking around trying to buy from well known stores that don't have any in stock I'm kind of thinking its not actually new. My Droid Turbo is not doing so hot anymore so it was time for an upgrade. Anyway I'm wondering if there are any ways to tell if a phone is refurbished. I've tried the ##786# on my Turbo and it doesn't do anything (also tried the other variant) so I don't know if that would be a reliable method on the V30+.
I'm sorry to report this, but I don't think you can easily know that. You could take it apart to check for different glue type or an off-brand battery might reveal repairs. Maybe scratch the screen with materials of known hardness to check if it's the correct Gorilla glass hardness. There might be ways to tell if the software/model was changed but I'm new to the LG way of doing things and can't help you with that yet.
I hope I was of help to you.

This phone is a great successor to the "Droid Turbo" (the best known of the Moto Quarks). I looked for a year, started this extensive thread in 2017 comparing all the phones available, and narrowed it to the V30.
LG V30/V30+
* 1440P OLED (537 ppi)
* Qi wireless charging
* 3.5mm headset jack
* Quad DAC
* DTS 3D stereo (now on US998, but coming to others)
* IP68 dust/water resistance
* rear camera OIS on normal lens - plus 120 degree wide angle lens
superfast fingerprint sensor
* 64GB (V30) or 128GB (V30+) internal storage
* microSD port for additional storage
* bootloader unlock and root
* no notch
However, you are right that now several sellers on eBay are claiming new in box -- unopened -- but are really refurbished. I ordered V30+ to have another backup -- and instead was sent 64GB V30 in V30+ box, and had a 64GB microSD sim card already inserted . That's' NOT a new V30+ phone. That's a scam attempt to claim "hey there's 128GB storage!". Yeah, the box said V30+, but inside was just V30. So, obviously "refurbished." I got a refund.

No problem. I probably won't go as far as taking it apart. I'll just check the IMEI and such and see if I can get any clues. Under heavy use for a few days I should know if its good or not.

Yeah I decided on this phone because of your thread in the Turbo forum. I went to see if anyone had any good tips to fix a broken power button and saw the comment you made about the 2019 basically being the end for the Turbo unless I keep running stock marshmallow. So hopefully this phone isn't a pile of junk so I can have something reliable. I guess I'll know in a few hours lol.

Also XDA app truncated my bulleted points in the app view. Just now, I had to go remove the list function and just have asterisks.
So got the phone and so far its come with a screen protector installed and the serial number on the sticker in the back doesn't match whats in the phone. Imei is only off by one number and the phone works on my network. So doesn't appear to be new but it looks like everything is in working order.
The back isn't completely flush with the phone so I'm not sure if it's been opened or if its supposed to be like that.

Return it if you don't feel comfortable with it.
If IMEI one number off, you mean one place has one more or one less number listed on box from firmware view (12 digits one place, 13 digits another)? That's normal. Don't ask me why.
Reality is, many "new" phones in ebay are openbox or refurb/used/like new. From my experience, if you can get a good deal, then getting an open box isnt a big deal. They are basically almost new lol.
But to answer your question, look for evidence of wear such as pocket gunk, screen burn in, stock software/patch level etc.
I would, at least, complain about the phone NOT being brand new. They should offer a discount because they lied. Either way, you also have a case to return the device as it's not as advertised. I'd say get the discount at least... they owe you that much, at least. (I don't know how to do this, but I'd lead with just saying that the device isn't new, and letting them make an offer... others may have better advice.)

When I complained, they offered me $45 discount to shut up. I gave them bad review and opened case with eBay. I told them I wanted full refund, but could have taken the $45 and kept the phone.
They gave me full refund, free shipping back and then offered me another $25 to change my review to positive.

I ended up just sending the phone back. It was clearly refurbished and had no warranty so if it crapped out on me I would've been out of luck. Ended up just buying the LS998 from B&H. More expensive, but at least I know it'll be what I paid for.

Oh god, you couldn't be more than right. After receiving my "brand new" open box V30 from eBay, I found several tiny scratches on one of the corners of the chassis. I took a picture of it and sent it to the seller, and they offered me either to keep the phone with partial refund of $50, or send the phone back for a full refund. Of course I didn't mind it, so I kept it and got $50 back. I regret not bargaining with them though, should've said something like $75 or even $100 instead. Who knows, maybe they'll go with it.
What I'm concerned about the most is whether or not the phone was refurbished or not. If it was, then it would lose its IP water rating.

EXACTLY! When I messaged the seller about those scratches, they told me that there wasn't any scratches when they shipped it to me and tried to imply that it got scratched during shipping. They were obviously lying as the box that it shipped with came intact. I don't like the fact that they were lying, however their newest ads for the V30 now says "may or may not contain small scratches", so I guess they admitted it.

I noticed on some of my pics a blur on the left side and most others do not. When the background is farther away it seems blury compared with the 900 photos which don't do that. I will post a sample of a pic of my motorcycle later, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed that.
Due to the smaller aperture size you get a reduced depth of field. Therefore if you focus on something farther away things that are nearer will turn out blurry at some point. Similarily if you focus on something near you the background will blur. That effect is well known in photography: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Depth_of_field
Most phone camera lenses have a very large depth of field due to their small size. I guess that is the reason for the effect you're having. In regular cameras or at least SLRs you can adjust the aperture to change this but with smartphones it's constant.

Sounds reasonable, but it does not explain the reason the left side is worse than the right... here are some samples of what I mean.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0kh2recr74d1o0a/WP_20121205_002.jpg From the front tire to the tree on the far left, and look at the distance on the right... fairly ok.
Again
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yikkpiymypxsm2t/WP_20121130_012.jpg Look at the focus on the right compared to the left at the same distance... you can also see by the left end of the bike it is out of focus. I have plenty of indoor shots that are perfect, some out door. However, it seems the outdoor shots are having the most trouble. Right side looks ok.. left side not so good.

That looks like either gunk on your lens, or an actual hardware problem (either with the image stabilization system or the AF lense)
That does not look like normal DOF focus.

Cleaned the heck out of the lens, no change. Bought the phone on Craigslist so calling Nokia... will see where that gets me.
Its the lens .. the N8 had a similar issue. All in all the only Carl Zeiss lens on a phone that deservers the name and it somewhat performs accordingly is the one on the 808.

My N8 had the out of focus problem on the right of every picture. My 920 doesn't have the problem so it's worth getting your checked by Nokia.
Bad lens or assembly problem.
WARNING!!!!!
Called Nokia support on this issue and eventually they had me do a hard reset. This had the gears on a spinfest! After an hour I reset the phone and all that would come up is the Nokia logo. Apparently others have called on the battery issue and had the same problem. If you aren't ready to up and send the phone back to Nokia... say it's the weekend and you called on a minor issue.... Never fear, I fixed mine on my own.... using the Nokia care suite. Treat it as you are refurbishing a non booting phone. It had me up and running. With the blurry lens unfortunately. http://www.mediafire.com/?xos6ckvsas5xkdi#!
I wanted to update this thread
No receipt, who knows where it came from, paid for at a used phone price, Went down to AT&T to get a SIM for a Radar I bought off Craigslist as a backup unit... They covered the phone with a lens issue, they did not have one to swap out in the store so they overnighted me a replacement. Much better photos all the way around! I was pleasantly surprised.
basically sometime is the lens blurry.. need to get nokia care to clean the lens and it should be ok

Eventhough I bought the phone on Craigslist used, AT&T took care of it right away. The photos all the way around seem to be coming out better. Maybe there was dirt back there or the lens was messed up, I don't know. All is perfect now, some of the photos are jaw dropping what a mobile phone can produce.

I guess I wasn't clear on that... you get in a rush sometimes.. I wanted to keep people updated on that becuase what happened with support and how I was able to bring the phone back to life.
I strongly urge anyone who buys a Nokia Phone to have the care suite... just in case.
Here is what happened at the At&t store: I called Nokia support.. went through the reset game and filled out the RMA form. I talked with At&t briefly about my situation. I bought a Radar to use temporarly, the plan was to unlock it and sell it when I get a new one. Unfortunately it uses and older SIM so I was told by AT&T phone support how they would deal with that. When I went to the store I told the front counter I needed a replacement SIM. The salesperson asked what was wrong with the phone and I told him about the focus issue. I told him I bought the phone elsewhere. I was then told as long as it is a branded AT&T and under warranty they will take care of it. He sent me back to the support area. They appoligized they did not have any replacement phones on hand, it can take a couple months. The support person overnighted me a replacement phone. The next day I had what looks like a brand new phone. For $380 I ended up with a new lumia 920... not bad
Nice makes sense as if its an AT&T branded 920 they all have a one year warranty and (i believe) it should be regardless of owner and based on hardware
I'm on the same boat. I bought my Lumia 920 locally since the only carrier that sells the phone here in Canada is Rogers. Now, I am having overheating issues and would like to get a replacement. Hopefully Nokia will let me get another one even though I have no receipt. I'll call them tomorrow to see if it's possible.

Just in case you are still unaware, I am sure the warranty is the same in Canada... it does not matter.. the form for RMA asks for your IMEI number. Name and address, nothing else. No proof of purchase. First though, I would take to Rogers. You never know, I got a way better deal at AT&T over Nokia.

Have you read about Nokia locking down access sometime in Mid January to its ROMs and firmwares that are available on their site. We may need to figure out a different way to get past this problem.
Somehow my LCD panel cracked today, split right in half so I no longer have a display. Where can I buy a good quality replacement aside from the probable junk ones from China on ebay?

I'm not sure why you think it's junk. Almost sure you know very little about the manufacturing process of the so-called "quality" LCDs. Even less about where the "junk" comes from and how it gets into the Chinese hands (Hint: Made in China). Open your device and look for something fabricated elsewhere. There are some stores in the States, but they do not differ in terms of quality because they come from the same source. You can try Asus. But if your original lcd is any indication, it probably came from the same guy in China too. That's why it cracked for no good reason. Your pick. Same lcd from Asus for a premium, from some guy in Ohio for $100.00+, or the vicinity of L.A. for a little more than half of it (stores mostly owned and maintained by- you guessed it - Chinese who call themselves David, Michael, Tom, and even Jerry.

Didn't really appreciate how you subliminally condescended my level of intelligence and the fact that knockoff crap comes from factories overseas every day in an attempt to make a buck compared to products that are made to a higher standard of QC. Regardless, though, the screen (yes, ONE) I found here in America was priced at $220, while the China ones are all between $60 and $90, but for some odd reason every China/Japan seller has their accounts saying that they're all away until Feb 16, 2013. So, I'm in quite a bind... pay $220 for probably the same screen that I can get form China for less than half, or wait 3-6 weeks for a screen from China. Sad part about it is that every China screen I found on EBay all have the exact same description, so it appears to be one seller using multiple accounts. So, it's not like choosing to order from one seller will get the screen faster than choosing it from a different seller. Pretty ugly position I am stuck in, if you ask me.
Bottom line is, I'm sure there are more screen suppliers than the two on EBay. Does anyone have a good source that's sold them quality parts before, that also carries the screen for the TF300T?

They're closed until Feb 16 due to the lunar new year Festivities. Don't mean to be condescending, neither this nor last time. But you are really poorly informed - which shouldn't be confused with intelligence. Knockoff crap!? I don't think a couple of Chinese peasants can just get together on a whim to set up an lcd factory in their stable so they can export their product overseas and make a little extra. I said what I said 'cause if you get one and look closely at the "Asus" logo on the glass, you'll understand. Here, they sell for 4 times as much because it's legal to gouge the public. Now, shipping time is always less in my experience (10-15 days). They say 3-6 weeks because they don't want to raise false expectations, knowing quite well how "patient" we in the West are. What with all the "time is money" talks, you see what I'm driving at... Laptopscreen.com sells them, but is currently out of stock I think. Plus they charge for shipping.

checked their reviews around the web and overall customers seem satisfied, so we'll see how it goes.

I bought one from China to replace mine which cracked upon impact. Works quite well. Not trying to convince you but it's more a question of how you handle the repair than the component itself as no one I know on XDA has had any problem with purchases anywhere, China included. Touchscreen mechanism, yes, but not LCD display. The Touchscreen daughterboard is particularly prone to failure, which leads one to believe it's more how you go about repairing it than the quality of the glass itself. Delicate work, as you can damage any component easily. But good luck (the word "gutted" intrigues me).
Very interesting topic. Care to make a video of the steps taken to replace your screen once you locate one? It would be greatly appreciated. Thx:good:
I broke mine. It was my fault, I'm not blaming it on spontaneous shattering. Whether that actually happens or not, I don't know, but I dropped my phone and it broke. Not severely, just one crack.... Right across the camera lens, so any pictures taken around bright lights/the sun have lovely spots in them due to light catching on the crack.
As it was clearly my fault (some very minor damage to the back as well), I'd have to pay the full price for repairing, which is prohibitively expensive. Local cell repair shops were unable to find the part for me, so I set out on a journey to find a replacement.
I finally found on, on Aliexpress, here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-...using-with-3M-Sticker-Camera/32579389618.html
Now, of course, this may or may not be a "official" part, who knows. I'll update the post when I receive it, but I felt I'd share the link in case anyone - like me - had a damaged glass cover and couldn't take photos, and had no other good repair options.

I'm interested to see how well this replacement part works out, please update when you can.

also, "Easy to install,no need tools or instruction" ? haha.. the 6p aint easy to unassemble, at all.

Nice! I wonder if the glass and bottom comes already attached? From the repair videos I've saw, you have to remove those parts to get to the screws.
I'm pretty excited to see these show up though. I know the 6p is difficult to work on but the housing doesn't look too bad. It's good to have options especially when the back casing has a tendency to bend and crinkle. ?
I had to re seal my glass bar on the back of my nexus 6p and all I used was a hairdryer and a pick of some kind then stuck it back down and its been great since so it shouldn't be hard to replace a broken bar...

dude, the hardest thing is obtaining the part... and ALI obviously has it... for $6.99 thats a no brainer.
mines not cracked and even i am considering picking one up as spare...
some heat, a razor, and 10 mins of ur time...
cool beans!, thanks for link
Please check back in to let us know how this goes.
Nice find hope I don't need it tho!
my 2c - I dont think is an OEM part - as the description on Aliexpress says " 1 x for nexus 6p...", the "for" is the bit that makes me assume this is a third party part.
Now, it may be of comparable quality, I am not discrediting the product, but just calling it out. OP, please keep us all in the loop. Hope for you that its a high quality part.
It seems AlliExpress is out of them or something. Once I try to purchase one using this link it says page not found. If I don't use this link I cannot even find the item.
would love to see a write up of this if/when you change your glass or back cover.
I've just ordered one of these from Ali Express. If it seems like nothing happens when you click Buy Now or Add to Cart, make sure you've selected a color (even though there is only one color). $16.99 with free shipping, but will take between 15 and 40 days to get here.
I have to say, Huawei customer service is awful. I started the process of checking to see if I can get it repaired (under warranty or otherwise) last Sunday. I sent an e-mail to the address they gave me and included 7 pictures of the phone and proof of purchase, as instructed. When I called today (Friday) I was told I'd have to start the process over, so I sent another e-mail with 7 pictures of the phone. The approval process is supposed to take up to 72 hours. And if it isn't approved, I'm on my own. They don't do paid repairs. Fortunately, my phone still works. But what if it didn't? I'd be without a phone while waiting for these guys to tell me if they'll fix it or not. This puts a real damper on my attitude toward this phone, and toward Google. This is supposed to be a premium, flagship phone. Shame on Google, and shame on Huawei.

It'll be great to hear the outcome of this, like many others I'm sure sooner or later your going to break it, damage it with grinder/Welding sparks.

I'm not the OP, but I had my glass break as well. I didn't drop it, I honestly have no idea how it happened. I tried getting fixed under warranty... Pfft, waste of time. Huawei warranty in Canada Sucks. Anyway, I ordered from Global Direct Parts. As far as I can tell it is the original OEM part. Install was a breeze since it was cracked and easy to take out after heating it up.

Good as new. Hope this helps someone.
Good to know that there is a replacement part available I might open my Nexus 6P soon to try something out I don´t like the stock cooling of the SoC to be honest and I´ve already improved my old Nexus 7 ( 2013 ) and Nexus 5 (2013) cooling.
I´m just scared that I might shatter the visor glass since this one looks really tough to remove..
thanks for the link.. might be useful in future
Think you can go through the steps of removing the broken lens (tools used, etc) and installing the new lens? Would be much appreciated as I'm waiting for my new lens to arrive and not really sure of how to go about the replacement. Thanks!
This is a PSA for anyone who uses their HTC 10 on a car, truck, motorcycle, or any place where there is vibration. Some part of the camera mechanism (the camera, laser sensor, or something else) fails after being used around a lot of vibration. The front camera is fine, and I've removed the gel cover/protector and cleaned all the surfaces. I don't use the camera a lot, so it's not from overuse.
The image shown on the screen is what you would see if you taped it to the shaking machine used at paint stores. There is an audible vibrating sound and feeling from the top of the phone by the camera and not from the bottom where the real vibration unit is.
This is now the second phone that has died like this. I did some research and this has happened to other HTC phones. Such a disappointment that they didn’t test the device thoroughly enough. It's still basically new, so I'm not taking it apart to see what's going on inside. I'll take it back to Verizon and demand a new unit on the spot and not have to wait for another remanufactured POS to be sent.
LOL..umm..yeah.I believe this phone also fails if used under water, near molten lava, and will succumb to repeated hammer abuse.lol
Though I agree with you that if there's a failure while using it on a motorcycle mount it certainly deserves a warranty replacement...I don't think taping it to a mechanical paint can shaker can be used as evidence of a design defect. No normal person uses their phone taped to a paint shaker.
I may be wrong, but I imagine that scenario causing WAY more vibration than using it on a motorcycle phone mount.
This is totally the ois. Optical image stabilization uses very small motor movements of the optical assembly to maintain focus. Understandable it has a limit and can be hosed by excessive vibration. Also very possible that the op had a defective one. Read up on the iPhone 6+ and their ois failures that affected a large number of phones.

I've used 4 phones on a motorcycle mount and the 10 is the only device to fail twice.
The paint shaker was an example of what the screen shows after failing, not as an example of a clearly abusive use case. Sarcasm and no contribution to the dialog really doesn’t help.
The knowledge of cameras and the ois is helpful; thank you for providing a beneficial reference for more reading.

True...I apologize for the sarcasm...and dottat is on point as always. But your initial post when literally read didn't say your phone camera failed due to your use of it on a motorcycle/truck/car mount...you simply issued a warning for those who might use it in that manner and about using it around a lot of vibration based on your tests of it failing on a paint shaker...lol
From the initial read of your post I took it as you were crying wolf which is even less useful than funny sarcasm in the world.
But I will certainly refrain from using it this way in my car and stick with hot spotting my 10 and let my M8 or ipad mini take the abuse while Wazing etc.
Handshake. I'll own that I was vague on the specific use case because of what my ex-wife would call paranoia that my carrier was watching the posts and deny claims to any moron using a paint mixing machine on his motorcycle
Perhaps some levity... ever wonder what would happen to that mounted phone if the wind force also identified a weak connection between the backplate and top of the mount "pole"? Never happened to me, but do the math on that one.
I solved the camera problem and did the math on the phone flying off the bike at California highway speeds last night in 3 words "there it goes..."
The camera got fixed by a new phone being ordered through Asurion, and the math is $150 (insurance deductible) + $100 for new SanDisk Extreme Plus 128gb SD card + $40 for my third Sunshine mailing + $60 for a new cradle, gummy body shell, and TechGlass Skinomi screen protector. $340 is the answer. Oh, add several hours to figure out how to dampen vibrations.
Until then, it's back to the best phone I've had in years and still like better than the 10, the G3. If LG makes a new version later this year that's close and gets unlocked, the 10 will be gone in minutes. Oh, the camera works fine on the G3 with 10k miles on it.

Sunshine no longer requires mail in. Why not just warranty it through HTC for free? They have an advanced replacement option.

It's a direct from Verizon phone. They were giving $300 in discounts and free anything in the store so I got it from them.
Great to know Sunshine got Verizon versions into the app. That team isn't just guru developers, they are amazingly cool and supportive folks. JCase went well beyond the call to help me.

Sorry for the wording. I'm looking forward to getting the 10 now because it's sound and processing power are great. I do have to say my G3 is still my favorite and I tried Fulmics rom and it's an amazing piece of work. If LeeDroid, Viper, or another builds such an amazing version of the stock rom, the 10 will be unbelievably good. I'll stop now because I'm guilty of taking this way off topic.

You can get Leedroid over in the regular HTC 10 forum. His rom will flash to Verizon. The last time I flashed it though there was a data roaming bug if your phone was on 3g.

The new 10 is up and running. I am getting a fixed mount that will eliminate the "how about a new phone right NOW" problem. I'm researching a different cradle that has equal holding grip and also some damping capability. The motorcycle forums cover that topic. The hardware version is still 0001 (after 3 of them).
The camera on phone #3 is broken after just 2 days of commuting with it in my jacket which is the equivalent of a what someone who rides a bicycle would do. I don't care what anyone says, this phone has inferior camera sensors. If you have an active lifestyle, stay away. I so want it to work, but after 3 phones, it has proven my original statement.
As soon as an equivalent phone hits the market and is unlocked/rooted, I'm jumping ship.

Don't get a phone with ois. Something you are doing doesn't agree with it. Hell I fly airplanes and film video while in them with my phone and still am on phone number 1. I run half marathons with the thing in a pouch with sweat all over it and no problems.
Whatever you are doing is pissing off ois something crazy.

No argument, this is is a pocket only device for me. Easy to Hotspot to the 4 bulletproof Flo's I have.
I had a long conversation with my carrier yesterday and I'm being sent a new one as a mfg defect (fact, not opinion). Again, not arguing I need to treat this phone more carefully, but my problem was not the first. Out of respect for the positive discussion here, I'll just say I hope HTC is able to make a firmware or hardware revision to reduce the chances of this particular issue.
I've always liked HTC and there is some of the best and brightest Android minds doing awesome work on this phone and I don't want to discourage anyone from jumping on board.

New phone was a new, in box model, but the build still says 0001, so HTC is still on the first parts build (I'd that field in settings is accurate).
I ordered mounting hardware from Adaptive Technologies because they were the only company who marketed specific vibration reduction design. We'll see.

The funny thing is they don't really increment the hardware version even if they use different displays etc. I wouldn't put much weight in that number at all.
Thanks for this thread. I am a new motorcycle rider and my HTC 10 lasted about 4 months of motorcycle riding. I replaced it because it has a battery issue and a broken vibrate motor. My new 10 lasted about a month of motorcycle use. I thought it was a software or firmware issue.
Here is a video link of what the camera does. After the pics fails.
If anybody knows how to disable ois I would loo very to hear it.
First I was really excited about all rumors going on. Which were all true reaching the introduction date.....
But then came the culprit....
-NO Hifi DAC for US and European countries!!
-NO wireless charging for European countries!!
Big reasons for me to not buy the G6 anymore... Guess I will get my hope in the HTC 11... Which I think again have decent audio quality.
The LG V20 were also not available im my country.
Why does LG have to make different versions for countries....??
Charging everywhere the same premium price. With the knowledge it doesn't have the premium features like wireless charging and Quad DAC.
Sorry LG you are not robbing money from my wallet.
I needed wireless charging which is why I didn't get the v10, G5, and v20.
But the gates of heaven opened up and now we have the glorious G6 in all its splendor.
#1 Wireless Charging
#2 All glass
#3 Water proof. (Dropped a few phones in the toilet) lol
#4 Fingerprint reader
#5 Corner to corner display.
#6 Dual 13mp cameras.
7# Unlockable with T-Mobile
8# Should I continue? WOW

Hate the glass back...WHY??? Already watched a hands on with the G6 and it had scratches on the back! GG5 is more shatter proof but will scratch if you breath on it! Only 32 GB in the USA??? WHY????? I think LG has made a major mistake again! Moving on.
Easy skipping again. LG really makes it easy to choose the Galaxy every single time so far.

Why in all heavens is wireless charging not available in the EU ?
Nope will be passing here in the US

I love the look of it and small footprint given the screen size but...
Given LGs trend with locking bootloaders it kills it for me. Now if i can nab a version unlocked id consider it.
Also the pricing needs to reflect the fact that is running a 2016 SoC which will soon be outdated once the snapdragon 835 drops. If they try and charge a premium for it I wouldn't bother with it.
I think LG goofed putting the 821 in it, it cant compete with the S8 once it drops. If there was a longer time between the G6 launch and the S8 launch that would make sense but not with barely 2mos apart.

Is there any word on when the next Pixel would come out? I currently have the G3 and I'm pretty happy with it, so unless there's a huge reason to switch I'll probably just wait for the next Pixel

What a massive let down for audiophiles. I have no idea how they conducted this research. Hopefully they conduct some REAL research on why this phone won't sell as well as the V20.
Without an IR blaster or removable battery, I think I'll stick to my V20. Really hoping the V30 doesn't follow the G6's example.
If the price is right, and Australia gets the good version, I don't see anything wrong with it at all.
Glad I live in Asia, and will get the 64GB/DAC model...I dont care too much for Wireless charging, I gave up on it after I replaced my G3 with v10.
No IR, no removable battery, no wireless charge, no enhanced audio.
No G6.
I from UK and I am very disappointed with LG's choice of not to put wireless charging capabilities and DAC, I already invested lot money in wireless charging plates, LG played other cards right from it's deck but not all of them, I will wait for full review from GSMARENA and other and also check what Oneplus and Mi and P10 offering
I just shattered my G2 screen today after nearly four years of ownership.
The Gods have spoken.
Tempted to get one when it comes out... really like the design. One thing I'm unclear about is the front glass... are the corners 2.5D? If they are, then forget it. Can't stand this stupid 2.5D trend and what they do to screen protectors (and yes, I must have one... also can't stand scratches).
Just a quick question : what do i loose if, as an european user (France), i buy it on the Asian market (Australia maybe ?) ? Warranty problems ? Radio not compatible with european standards ?

VERY likely I'll pick this up on launch day for VZW. Had my G4 for two years - longer than any other phone I've owned - but it's time to move up.
