Please help,
This app lags too much, I get it it's 430 mb app running at a time but can something be done to fix this lag? The video recording also records lags, the camera and sticker keeps lagging in playground app.

My phone is a non rooted Moto X4
the earlier sticker pack with the star wars characters lagged on the x4 as well. Perhaps its a question of the CPU not being 100% up to the task?
The previous AR stickers app which was around 120mb didn't lag at all. This new playground app lags so much that it's unbearable.

Which is probably why it isn't natively supported until you side load it

Yeah that's true but if ur looking for more stickers then this one is better
It appears that, in theory, you can just install the base and packs as desired.
To my knowledge, the Moto X4 officially supports the ARCore.

Hi all I have diceplayer with external plugins allowed for dts on my nexus7, but that same plugin does not work on my Galaxy Tab 10.1
Does anyone have an external plugin that allows dts playback on their Galaxy Tab 10.1 or point me in the direction of it?
Thanks!

I had the same plugin, its somewhere in the N7 thread. You place it on the root of sdcard and enable the option for custom plugins in Dice settings. It doesn't work for GTab, every time I tried to play a DTS video using Dice, it would just disappear on me... no FC just disappear.
Did you ever find a player that can play dts on the galaxy tab?

i havent tried DTS on current player. I'll see if it works and let you know.

Got a 720p w/ DTS transffered to my GTab, I tested using VLC for Android Beta
Here is the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.videolan.vlc.betav7neon&hl=en, but I am not able to install from here so I get it from their nightlies http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/armv7-android-neon/
It says for neon and specific hardware for HW accesleration, but it seems to run fine with occasional stutter... but I expect stutter from 720p videos since our processor does not really have mkv support.

Dang, after watching the video longer, its gets out of sync. The problem is that it does not have tegra2 support in the link I posted. They do have a tegra2 version, but it has not been updated since Oct and it doesn't run that great. If your able to, you might be able to build your own tegra2 from their source and get the latest updates to try.

But yea thanks for testing. its not actually my gtab anyways, trying to figure it out for my dad... but still on the quest for searching for dts on the gtab
hey guys!
Just picked up my Moto X about a week ago and rlly enjoying it!.. thought id stay under the 30 minute talk-time as long as i could to not void the return policy just in case i wanted to come back to apple and pick up a 5S.. decided im sticking with the Moto tho!
Anyway on the iphone i was able to play a video, then lock (sleep) the display and have the audio of that video still play while having the info and toggle button (play, rewind etc.) show up in the lock screen by tapping the wake button. I used this primarily for video streaming via the Safari browser using sites like youtube (the youtube app didnt allow this function).
Can i do something similar to this (play the audio of a video with the display put to sleep + have a toggle widget in the lock screen) . I found it to be super convenient for listening to interviews and talks while at the gym or even in the car while saving some battery.
sorry if the solution is obvious.. im still learning Android's functionality.. is there a native way of doing this? if not is there a browser/app/widget that can do this? do i need to get a custome build of the OS?
Thanks in advance, i know u guys are great on here

There's also a modded youtube apk somewhere under Development & hacking which allows exactly that, playback with screen off.
I think PVTStar also does that, I'm not wrong (it's an app to play youtube videos basically).

so i think the app you mention is called SuperTube which is pretty sleek.. it does play the audio with the screen off which is rlly nice and it has a pull down widget for pausing and playing!
another question is whether there is a web browser that can do this for videos that are outside the realm of YouTube?

Try PVStar, I think it does a broader video search (not just youtube). if I'm not mistaken. Check on play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.asbit.pvstar
i was curious if there was a way to do this to our phones? Just like how the sony z5 premium runs 1080p regularly and 4k when it needs it. movies as of now only run to 1080p and youtube/photos/home movies would be the only real app to utilize QHD. it would be nice to use 1080p or even 720 if you wanted to lower battery. Just an idea.
you use adb shell.the command is "adb shell wm size 1920x1080"if that looks weird switch the 1920 and 1080.but upon reboot youll get a system ui crash
---------- Post added at 04:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:15 PM ----------
just be warned .you will be stuck in a infinite system ui loop so dont do this unless you have twrp or equvilent
so if i get stuck in an infinite loop ill just restore my rom? this will have my phone working at 1080p at all times?
This is a mod i have been using by quite some time, thought i should share it with other users of Moto x4. it's mostly made by @defcomg and i have only done xml and module part. you can see this has 4032x 2268 video support, it's very useful as you can record 2268p video and use google photos app's video stabilization on it to get stabilized 4k video.this produces much better 4k stabilized videos because you have 5% more resolution to work on compared to using it on normal 2160p video.
Features:
1: 2268p video mode for back camera.
2. 4k video mode for front camera.
3. 16mp mode front cam support for other camera apps.
4. Increased audio and video bitrate.
5. 1080p30/60fps hevc video support.
Requirements:
1: Magisk v16 or later.(so obviously it needs bootloader unlocked)
2: FreeDCam camera app play-store link
How to : -
1: Just install Enhance_MOTO_X4_camera.zip as a module in MagiskManager and reboot.
2: Open FreeDCam take a picture (so that it can create a freedcam folder otherwise you will get crashes in video mode) and follow attached screenshots to setup 2268p profile.
Credits: - @defcomg Donation Link .
Download : -
1. Enhance_MOTO_X4_camera.zip
2. Camera_ MX (incase someone wants fully working gcam)
13-14 downloads but not a single comment on how bad/good/working/not working it is ? this community is really dead lol.

This is great! Trying to find a way to get less compression in photos, just installed and poking around!
How does this compare to the various Gcam mods out there? Does this lose any features from the stock camera? Does it improve shutter speed?

this mod doesn't remove anything, only adds the features stated in op.
So does this improve the moto camera or just provide a better alternative? Also is this mod just for video improvement or photos as well. The Moto X4 camera is very disappointing to say the least. I have been using a modded version of the GCam and it is much faster and better quality than the moto camera but features like the wide angle are sacrificed.
Works Excellent...thanks...

No Pie support

Would it be possible to port it to Pie?
By the way, if anyone is wondering, this mod works fine on Oreo 8.1 as well as 8.0.

I think it would be good if it would be ported for pie. But I'm not a developer and unfortunately I can not. I hope somebody does it.
Audio fx is popular android audio equilizer from cynogenmod to lineageos.
This app can be directly installed as normal apk but effects not working so i moved it as system app and its working.
https://youtu.be/AbZq_jSaPuo
Procedure :
Download app:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/14JMIBRtU6I66cIjadILBdcn5wZNxYEsR/view?usp=drivesdk
Miroot xplorer :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523691
Copy and paste it under root>system>apps
And change permissions to 644 reboot.
Set audiofx as default equilizer for google play music or any app u want.
Disable inbuilt oxygen os audio tuner.
Audio quality is best for earphones but speaker sound is weak.
Thanks for posting this, But is this the latest version available? And also which one is better? "Dolby Atmos" vs "Viper4Android" vs "Audio Fx"? Can some one please tell me.
You can also simply install "MaterialFX" from the Play Store. It's a Material Design fork of AudioFX. It works like a charm with GPM and Spotify on OOS

Viper is the most complete solution, with the most tunables. Very nice, sounds the best IMO. Never tried Dolby. AudioFX/MaterialFX are very simple, kinda minimal.
