P-tab-105-elc-03 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to flash a tablet but can't get into setting for the device. Can anyone help. It is an Outcome Health tablet (Context Media previously). they're running Android 4.4 but Outcome seems to have locked it down by spamming a program to run that plays their videos. Can anyone help?

I got mine rooted and removed the context media stuff. There aren't any ROMs available for it so you're stuck with android 4.4. usable if you run the older apps.

Late to the thread. Any advice on how you rooted it? I’ve enabled developer mode but can’t get ADB to turn on; all options in the developer menu are grayed out.

[Q] Android 4.3 is Blocking a J5 Create Mirror Connection

I just received my J5 Create JUC600 Android Mirror Control device and follows all the instructions to mirror my Verizon Galaxy S4 to Windows 7. During the connection process, it stops and the shield icon notification on my Android says it blocked an app from attempting to reach a restricted area.
I've searched everywhere on the forums trying to solve this, I hear there a bugs in the Samsung KNOX app causing this message to pop up frequently. I went in the app manager and force stopped all KNOX activity and it the connection still gets blocked.
I set the Android to allow apps from unknown sources and checked the debugging mode on. I even did a factory data reset on my Galaxy S4 as I heard this help some users fix a bug in the 4.3 update. Still no success.
Please help! Thanks everyone!
You need ROOT

Bare in mind, the following will void your warranty and failure to follow instructions explicitly could very well brick your device. That being said...
If you haven't already done so, you need to root your phone (instructions can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963806).
Installing SuperSU or Superuser (I highly recommend SuperSU) which ever you prefer will initially fail due to KNOX, easy enough, Go to "Settings", "More", "Application Manager", scroll right to "All" and forc stop each of the four instance of KNOX (as well as clear data where applicable). Go back to your apps list and run SuperSU (or Superuser if you chose to do such). Please note that I do use and have only ever used SuperSU so I am personally not sure if Superuser will work the same. When you start SuperSU it will notify you that ROOT has been blocked by KNOX and ask if you wish to disable it. Select yes, you will have to repeat the steps above afterwards to force stop all instance of KNOX and clear all data. Restart your phone and run a ROOT verifier of your liking to verify that you have ROOT. After this process is complete your J5 Android Mirror will finally work for you.
Samsung phones running 4.3+ with JUC600
Samsung phones running 4.3 and higher have the signal from the JUC600 cable blocked. The latest firmware version will prompt the installation of a different USB driver called the AoA driver in order to get around this issue. As long as the cable's firmware has been updated to 14.01.0124.00.00 and the software has been updated to match this driver should install automatically. You may need to cycle through USB connection types in order to get that driver installed correctly. There will be a notification on the phone's screen that asks if you want to allow juclink to run and you will need to hit ok. From there the mirror should work.

[Q] Help with rooting, custom room and problems

Hi guys, new member so play nice
Just pulled my HDX 7 from out of a drawer and thought I could use it for music in my car.
Haven't used it once March of 2014 and it's stuck on software version 13.3.2.2... I remember using a tool to block OTA updates, and whenever I try to check for an update it says 'last update failed'.
Did a factory reset on the device in the hope it'd sort that out, but no avail. What I have now is when I go to set up the device after the reset, it won't come off the language selection screen. I choose a language, press okay, and it just bounces back. Rebooting does nothing. Managed to ninja tap into settings, update still doesn't work, and same problem after another reset.
Can you guys just point me in the right direction in terms of sorting out these problems, and then what I need to do to root, get recovery and install a custom rom (possibly cyanogenmod but I'm unsure if there's a supported build)
Thanks a lot guys, it's much appreciated.
You are actually quite fortunate that your HDX is stuck at 13.3.2.x as you can probably obtain full control over the device and separate from Amazon. I would advise NOT updating as you may get your wish and then be left with fewer options (although Fire OS is not horrible even unrooted). HDX is a very nice device that is somewhat hobbled by Amazon's adaptation of Android.
If you can "ninja tap" into settings try to enable adb (under device). That will allow you to root and block OTAs (do it again just to make sure). See this post and the ones that immediately follow for details.
Assuming you are successful you can install a true recovery (TWRP) and flash several ROMs including stock Fire OS. There are many who would love to get their hands on your device as those with more recent updates are far more difficult to customize.
On the other hand, if you simply want to stick with Fire OS and accept updates as dished out by Amazon you can probably flash one of the various 13.3.x images posted in this forum and then re-enable OTA. Reflashing Fire OS should address the language loop you are currently experiencing.
It's nice to have choices!

How to Remove Custom Android OS and install Default

Hi All,
I bought a tablet from a hospital auction a few weeks back. It has pre-programmed content running on them. The content is Context Media Health services and they play on a loop. I have tried a full wipe, restore, factory reset and nothing is working. I cannot even add an account or get google play to acknowledge I have a device - probably because I do not even have google play and cannot get it to install. I would like to just wipe out all the Context Medical Health information and get them back to factory or just get that off of their in order to use them.
Model # UIT313B-U01
Android version 4.4.4
kernel version: 3.0.36+
build number: Android 4.4.4
Outform-TAB1310-13.3-Y4. 13-20160122
Can anyone point me in a direction or lead me somewhere. These are just the way they came to me I have not ran any programs on them to correct because I am not sure what I need to do.
I would appreciate any help and Thank you in advance!
-Matt
I may be wrong, but I pretty much think your screwed. Unless you can compile you own version of android for this tablet, then unlock boot loader and flash the image, you can't really do anything with it. If you can install apps (or at least enable adb, if you enable adb then you can install apps) then I would try kingroot or framaroot or whatever.
I tried unlocking the bootloader however whenever I do that the screen just goes black and nothing happens and I can't do anything else.
I've worked with Outform devices before and might be able to help you out. Would you be able to snap a pic of the front/back so I can be sure which version this is? feel free to pm me
Here are the Photos. I have one that is a Wall Board and one that is a Small Tablet. Thank you so much for looking into this for me!!!!
Do we have any updates on this?
Anyone able to assist?
were you able to get any help in this?
I'm also having the same problem
I know this is an old post but I am in the exact same boat. It looks like mine is running a custom ROM based on 4.2.41. I'd love to just wipe this thing and put any generic ROM on it.

Need help please

Hello there.
I got a BP-2 from a friend, which runs on Lollipop 5.1 with a baseband .2.0.2.ci-00017-M8935FAAANUZM-1.
The Model Name is unknown and so it the build number. Certain built-in apps in the phone simply does not work and some android features such as accessibility option or date and time option, when clicked just closes down the settings tab. Moreover, the phone also has issues connecting to PC and Wifi.
Before posting my request, i did all available options to upgrade the rom to latest available on forums. I was able to flash original recoveries and TWRP. I could use ADB and Fastflash tools to experiment sideload options. Nothing seemed to have worked for me. In almost all attempts, the progress just stops at "Patching system image unconditionally......" indefinitely.
I have also tried for days to get past the issue but my bad.
I will really really appreciate, if someone can give me an idea here on what possibly could be the problem and how to address it. Once again, I am thankful to the immense help i am getting from respected gurus here.
Thanks

Getting rid of Managed Device / Enterprise control

Hi guys,
I've got a Nokia 7.1 with the latest Android (10). The device is under full control by my company. This means that It says that it is under control everywhere (text on lockscreen, statusbar etc), that certain things are blocked (entering developer mode, installing apk's outside of Play Store etc) and that I have a personal and work profile on the phone. If I delete the last one, the phone automatically resets (!). For me this is a reason to get rid of it asap.
First things first: the IT guys said this is okay (there are people that only have a personal phone and are allowed to use this too within the company), but they just won't help me with it So here I am for your help!
Do you guys know how I can disable/remove the corporate stuff? I tried a normal reset, but the company stuff is allready there on first boot and forces you to load and install it all before you can properly enter the Android environment. I tried installing the most recent 'stock' firmware from this forum by ADB sideload, but it aborts because it's an older version (downgrade).
Do you have any idea how to get rid of it all? Where is the company stuff incorporated/embedded? Is that in firmware or on a deeper level? And is it possible without unlocking bootloader?
Thank you in advance!
