Any stock based pie rom with a custom kernel will get you more battery life than stock. Here is my battery life with Ambasadii rom with its kernel

Did some manage to find custom system that is based on stock and which does not experience random reboots after restoring data.
It would be nice that it is updated as stock is patched as well.

Yeah maybe you are right. I'm currently on Pre rooted stock 5.1.1 (.232) and I'm getting 6hrs SOT with more than average usage.

I usually get 5+ SOT with this Rom, however i do use Androplus Kernel V72 with Alucard gov & Intelliplug.
Maybe give it try and see if you like it.
KK was very fine too... If you don't mind installing a 4.X android then you could try one of these, like the kk-version of eXistenz .
( I just kept the kk-Carbon-ROM on my sd-card because of this. First, it was just because no LP of carbon appeared, then I kept it because it ran fine and I think the dl-link is dead now if I remember correctly )
Purex 9&10 gave me decent battery life too.
But I am a user that has BT, location, Wi-Fi, mobile-data always on, so your experience may differ if you use your phone otherwise.
Mx ROM v8.0.0 cc
Great battery life and good all-round ROM

Battery life...

I have been using my redmi note 3 since October and been satisfied with every aspect of the phone but now a days my battery isn't cutting the mark. I usually used to get 8 to 9 hours of screen on time but now it had decreased to 6 to 7 hours . I had miui 8.1.4.0 global stable rooted and battery was rooted and then it started to degrade installed fresh lineage os on dual boot and still the same. Using radon kernel 4.0 on both lineage and miui . I saw a screenshot of aosip it had freaking 4hr 45 mins of screen on time and battery left was 75%!!!!!!!!
What can I do to get back my battery again??????
upgrade the radon kernel to 4.0, im using it and its pretty good..right now im on 30% 7h12m SOT rr r5.8.2

I think there something and btw i have radon kernel l 4.0 installed but still it does not give the battery life i expect
If you have a backup of the original kernel then restore it and install radon kernel again. Or dirty flash the ROM if not.
P.S: It's weird this happens to you, on the first full charge i've seen increased my battery life in 2-3h+ of SOT with Radon 4.0.
i ask here my doubts. i have RR rom 5.8.1 but i don't understand if the kernel of this rom is "stock"...but what kind of stock? a slightly optimized stock kernel?
what's the difference between using a custom kernel with the modded governors behaviours, if i ALSO use L-speed app or gov-tuner flashable zip? do they interfere each others?

By "stock" I mean the kernel that was before you flashed radon. You can flash the ROM again with only wiping cache and dalvik cache to restore it.

Short battery backup

Hey, I've a very short battery backup, on an average one percent lasts 3 minutes with less than 1/4 brightness, I'm running MIUI developer ROM(global beta/ weekly).
I'm running stock kernel.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks :good:
Try Nitrogen OS + Radon laterst kernel for custom roms

Nitrogen os stable build + radon 4.0V is best combination so far. I havent faced any major fc's except on camera and flash light which will be fixed only when xiaomi release their source code for nougat kernel which in my opinion is not happening anytime soon

I've installed nitrogen os with the stock kernel and there's a huge improvement. I want to ask that does changing kernels really work?

Yes, gives you alot of options to tweak. Also it fix some issues with the goodix fp.
I got 14h SoT yesterday on NOS
By the way, you should use stock kernel with it...it has all tweaks you need

Best Xperia Z2 Nougat ROM

What is the best nougat rom for z2? I want stability, performance and everything works. I saw Resurrection Remix, CarbonROM, CypherOS and Lineage OS. Which is the best? Now I have eXistenZ Marshmallow and performance is not perfect, but I like original Xperia look and I want something looking similar to this. What I should to install?

the only one nougat rom has Xperia Interface . here... but it outdated . but still okay ..
Once upon a time custom rom used to be better in stability and usability than stock rom.
But those days are long gone.
Now a days custom rom is just about upgrading and adding fancy stuff.
No single custom rom can beat stock rom in stabilty/performance/battery etc now.
I've tried them all. But now I'm back to stock with restored TA.
Don't plan to go on a custom rom again.
YMMV.

It's not true for EX performance of oreo roms is far better than stock roms
I can't say anything about battery life but i don't think that the deference will be so much

I meant to write stability/usability/battery.
It's true that performance is slightly better in nougat/oreo than stock MM.
But is the performance gain due to "tweaks" and "optimization" done by the cookers? No, it is because the improvements done by Google.
Nougat rom still has the mic issue.
Battery charging takes twice the time than stock.
Battery life is worse than stock.
And frankly, I really don't notice any performance difference in stock MM. it is noticeable only if I do bench.
Like I said, YMMV. So you should try out first before taking a decision.

I can't choose a rom

Hi, i can't choose a Rom, i can't decide which is the best Rom that are highly customizable, low battery drain and stable with the latest kernel. Can you recommend any rom?
Nothing is best my friend. it's up to you. for good customization, you can go with HavocOS or DotOS. and for good battery backup use Dark Ages kernel.

According to me the best custom rom is XIAOMI.EU rom.
