Amazfit Stratos: How to synchronize Stratos 2 if phone is changed - Amazfit

Hello,
I decided to replace my three years old mobile phone very soon. I'd like to know how to re-synchronize my Stratos watch keeping old workouts data if possible.
Is it only enough to do the following:
- dispair the watch on my old mobile
- re-pair it on new mobile
Thank you very much.

If you are using the same system (Android -> Android or iOS -> iOS), then no need to unpair. Do this:
1. On original phone, sync watch to make sure you have the latest data in the cloud;
2. Logout from Amazfit Watch app (do NOT unpair watch, simply logout from your account);
3. Remove watch from phone's Bluetooth settings;
4. On the new phone, install Amazfit Watch and login using the same account as your old phone, obviously;
5. Watch should ask to pair automatically using normal Bluetooth pairing, check notifications and some phones show it there.
If it fails for some reason, you can always factory reset/unpair, then pair again and chose "restore old data to watch" when pairing again (although some people reported it is broken on Amazfit Watcg 3..0+).
PS: There is no Stratos 2, this model does not exist.

Can't pair Amazfit stratos

Hi,all
today I'm received a Amazfit stratos ( International version A1619 ) but I can't pair it with Amazfit watch app.
After I'm scan the QR code and click OK on watch for pair it with amazfit watch app. It's show error "Pair failed"
- Amazfit watch app lastest version on Play store (2.3.1-play)
- Already full charge battery.
- Try to reboot stratos / reboot smart phone ( not work same error not pair)
- Try switch login by facebook, gmail or create amazfit account and login but same result.
- Try turn off/on bluetooth of my smartphone
who have another solutions for this issue. :crying:
Thank you.
You forgot an important info: phone model and Android version? It won't pair if the firmware isn't up-to-dat, you will have to first pair with another phone using Android 7.1 or order, update firmware, unpair and then pair with your phone.
Hi!
I needed a couple of retry before it pairs.
I guess you already tried but some may be interested.
It looks like the pairing process is not an example of hi reliability....

The Stratos pairs fine with 8.0+ from factory, only the Pace doesn't
I see... So maybe the problem is the Bluetooth/WiFi interference. He can try to put phone in airplane mode and enable only Bluetooth. Make sure the watch isn't listed in the Bluetooth settings of phone, the pairing process should be done using the Amazfit app only.
Update:
delete all application smartwatch & smartband all brand in my phone
and all tool for configure smartband ( I'm ever use amazfit bip and another brand to custom it.)
I think It's has some conflict in bluetooth signal.
Now, I can pair my stratos and see my first watch face Yeh. :victory:
Thank all.

Pace: Training sessions not saved

I'm so disappointed! Two days in a row I've been climbing the mountains and used the 'Climb' activity to track my workouts. Both days I was unable to Stop and Save the activity. When I pressed the 'Save' button there was an endless animation on the screen 'Saving your activity'. I left it for over an hour this way but nothing changed and I restarted the watch. Unfortunately the workout has not been saved. The same thing happened on the next day.
Both workouts have been with duration of more than 7 hours and contained so precious GPS data for me which now I cannot access.
Does anybody know why this happened and how to avoid it next time?
My watch has the latest official ROM.
While I can't tell you how to avoid it, try https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/xiaomi-huami-amazfit-export-data-t3533292/page19
the version vor the stratos.
You might be able to get the Data manually.
Upgrading to WOS2 (firmware 2.x.y) may cause corrupted data. You can fix it this way (all data on watch will be erase, but you will get it back to phone):
1. Unpair watch while it's connected to phone, so all data will be erased;
2. Logout from Amazfit app, close it (it's better to re-install using the latest version or go to phone settings and "clear data");
3. Open Amazfit and login using the same account, your old data should be restored;
4. Pair watch again but do not restore old data when Amazfit asks if you want to.
I've also had this issue with Pace - on latest firmware. It only seem to happen on really long (over 5 hours) activities. I lost my Ironman cycle because of this issue.

I have done what you suggested. Let's hope it will fix the issue. Thanks!
Hello, I can't find the activity (skiing) in Amazfit pace after I stopped it and saved. is it possible to restore it manually? cause in App also no info after the sync.

Activity missing from Amazfit Watch app

Hello,
Two days ago, I completed a bicycle ride of 43.37 km, while recording the activity with my Amazfit Stratos. Today, I connected to the Amazfit Watch app in my phone to sync my activities (Normally, I have my Stratos in Airplane mode in order to save battery and connect to my phone once every two or three days). To my surprise, this one (made on 2018-08-27) was not shown in my activities page in the Amazfit Watch app. I have to note, that another short ride that I made the day after (on 2018-08-28) of 10.09 km is shown in the app. Also, this discrepancy appears on the total mileage (in the app) versus the sports history (on the watch) readings (the former shows 662, 85 km, while the latter shows 706,07 km). Of course, the 43.37 km ride is shown on my Stratos.
I tried a few things to bring this activity to the cloud, like closing and reopening the Amazfit Watch app, rebooting the watch, but nothing helped.
I must also note that, while connecting today, the watch updated to the latest version. I don't know if that had an effect on syncing.
Does anyone have any suspicion on why is this happening and how can I correct this?
I have also submitted a question to Amazfit support page and I am waiting for their response.
Thank you,
Evangelos
Hi,
I have the same issue. The activity and sleep info are not displayed in Amazfit Stratos since I have updated the device the last weekend.
Do you have received any answer from Amazfit support?.
Thanks.

I received the following reply from Amazfit support:
"Please go to your phone Bluetooth settings to cache Bluetooth cache, toggle Bluetooth OFF and ON, reboot the watch and phone, log out and then re-open app and try connecting again.
If your issue persists, please connect wifi on the watch and go to more settings---upload. Tap upload on the watch to upload data to Amazfit Watch app and open your app to sync. Then unpair the device from your phone and re-pair it to have a try."
I tried the first method, but it didn't work. Then, I proceeded to the second method of manual uploading data, which remedied the problem. I suspect that it is not necessary to unpair and re-pair the watch - I think that a log-out and log-in will do the job. If you follow this technique, after uploading data, try to log-out and log-in again and check your activity in the app to see if everything is back. If not, then go for a unpair-re-pair process.
Hope this helped.

Bad bluetooth connection with Amazfit and Bip/Bip S

I've been using an Amazfit Bip together with the Mi Fit app for a long time without any problems. The Bip hardly ever lost connection to the phone. Then I bought an Amazfit Bip S and as the Mi Fit app does not support it, I had to use the Amazfit app. I recognized that the Bip S permanently lost bluetooth connection to the phone, no matter what settings I changed. So I thought it would be a problem of the Bip S and bought a normal Bip again. But same problem... if the phone does not lie directly on the table, most of the time Bip has no bluetooth connection. Even if the phone is in its case on my belt, the Bip loses connection.
So it must have something to do with the Amazfit app, I guess. Somewhere I read that if you uninstall and reinstall it, Bluetooth connection problems may be gone. But if I uninstall the app, I lose all data, so before I do that I try to investigate what could be the problem.
The phone is a Blackview BV9700 Pro. I already cleared all data and cache of the Bluetooth app. I restarted the phone. I turned Bluetooth off and on again. I turned the option for a permanent notification in the Amazfit app on and off, makes no difference.
Can anyone confirm that the Amazfit app has a bad Bluetooth connection compared to the Mi Fit app? Could the problem be caused because both apps were installed at the same time at the beginning? I had Mi Fit installed, installed Amazfit and because the Bip was recognized by both apps I uninstalled Mi Fit and kept only Amazfit.

Hello,
Few things:
- I would recommend you to use only one App, AmazFit or MiFit at a time. I guess AMazFit is preferable depending on the watch you have. Unpair from one app and uninstall the app you don't want to use
- if you uninstall and reinstall the Amazfit or MiFit app with same credentials, Mi account or with mail/phone number, you should recover your data saved and you won't loose all your history. Maybe the one from the current day, I think. I jumped from MiFit to Amzfit with same account with no problem, recovering data for many years
- concerning the bluetooth, not sure what OS your are using, iOS or Android. You could check in the Amazfit or Mi Fit app properties if the OS is not using "battery saver" functions. Sometimes, by default, the battery saving is in "restricted mode" which can affect connections like wifi/bluetooth to save power. Try to see if you have this battery saving function ON and set to "no restrictions" - at least this is what I do on my Android phone.

Yeah - as I wrote I uninstalled Mi Fit and only use Amazfit now.

Hm, now as you said it... the Amazfit app also loaded the data from the Mi account.

The phone uses Android 9. The Amazfit app is not restricted by any battery saving modes as I put it on "Not optimized" just like the Mi Fit app before.

Amazfit GTS and Sync with two Mobiles

Hello !!
I have had the Amazfit GTS for three months and it worked perfectly.
I had it linked to two different mobiles, an iPhone and an Android.
I could use one or the other to download sports activities and check steps, sleep etc ...
With the update to Zepp it has stopped synchronizing with the iPhone, it cannot connect.
On Android it works perfectly.
I would like to be able to continue using both phones, but it can't connect, it tells me to reset the clock and try again.
Can any of you have two different phones connected?
Not at the same time, turning off the other's BT first.
Greetings.
Tested!
Not at the same time.
Connect GTS to iphone with Zeep account A then tủrn off iphone Bluetooth
Then sign on to Zeep account A on the Android phone and connect bluetooth with GTS.
Now. When you want to connect to what phone to receive notification, then just tủrn off bluetooth on the other phone. GTS will automatic connect to the first phone it see to show the notification and syscn the activities.
