Hi!
Not sure if posting into right section..
I'm wondering if someone is able to help me deknox my Galaxy A6 A600FN?
I have read something about "kitchen" in this forum but I guess there are people more used to this type of customisation than me.
The thing is that my work phone is preconfigured with the Knox Cloud MDM and prevents me from installing certain apps. So I would really need help removing the Knox from a rom if it is even possible? I'm not to familiar with this but I guess I need to flash it with the help of TWRP?

hello everyone, i really need help in rooting and flashing custom roms in my galaxy s2 i9100g. the problem is that i cant find proper custom roms for my phone. i am capable of rooting my phone, its just a matter of finding the insecure kernel and flashing it then using superoneclick and then flashing the original kernel back in. but what would i benefit if i cant install custom roms. by the way. to install roms i need clockworkmod recovery right? please some1 help me i really want to do this and experience the full power of android
Thanks in advance =)
What you would benefit if you can't install custom roms? I you can't root your device with those guides that is here I suggest you to not root. You will probably end up bricking your phone.
And btw, searching google for it shows even more sites with guides..did you put any effort at all in trying to find out yourself or are you just lazy?

Cool story bro,...changed my life forever
Seems to me you already know how to root? Now are you asking for custom ROM for i9100g?
You can try CM first.

And I found you posted in the wrong forum. The following forum is for i9100g. Go dig there is better.

Wow - this forum is huge
Although I am new to Samsung Galaxy S3 I am prepared to work for it. I just don't want to start flashing unstable files. Which is why I thought I would ask here first.
Question
I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 and I have rooted it yesterday via Odin and in my apps I can now see CWM V3.60 and SuperSU Now I am looking for some advice please?
What is Cyanogen 10.1? I have been reading about it but don't fully understand? is it for installing Roms that supersedes Samsung software 4.1.2? and is there a safe tutorial you can point me to?
Also I want to get rid of the bloatware on this device can anyone please point me in the right direction of how I go about doing this?

CM Its a custom built Android firmware not Samsung firmware .

The bloatware thread in Themes and Apps or flash a custom rom with bloatware removed .
Best to read all the faqs and guides before starting .

Hey guys I successfully rooted my sprint samsung galaxy 5. Works flawlessly. Now on to my girlfriend sprint mega. I've done my googling and looking at previously posted threads but its so much to take in I just confuse myself. Can some one who has already achieved this answer a few questions for me. I'm sure its been spammed here a 100 times just looking for anybody with the patients and or knowledge to help me out with a few things.
#1. Is there any mods that unlock the hotspot like there are for the galaxy s5?
#2. Could I possibly get a link to the best/most popular mod for the this device with #1 included
Its easier to narrow down the correct rooting tutorial. Its just having the confidence of finding the right mod and applying it. Do I need to flash a custom kernel or do the mods for this phone have them included.
Like I said any help is much appreciated. I'll patiently await your replies! :good:

None that I know of. When I try the Toggle it tells me it's unsupported. May need to have some things added and changed to make it work. You can always try an aftermarket app. Seeing that I do not have service on this phone and use it for modding purposes only.

Not much being done for the Sprint L600 unfortunately. Unless you can do it yourself, you can try porting the roms from the other Mega's but it's very likely you will loose your radio afterwards.
Look for the 4-way reboot menu, just search my forum name for the post. You can also do a couple of CSC edits in the feature.xml file located in the CSC folder to get a couple of things like the camera shutter sound menu and the call button in list in your contacts. There are a couple more mods to come like a working flashlight toggle and am buttoning up porting the S5 Launcher for the L600 with Theme Chooser included.

Rooting could not be more simple for this device. Just download PhilZ Recovery or TWRP for the L600 ( look for the meliuslteXX version i9205), flash via Odin. Make sure the first boot is into recovery and not the OS after flashing the recovery or it will not stick. After, flash root via recovery through the options in the menu and and then reboot the phone. Once rebooted install SuperSU via the Playstore. After you should have gained root access.

Hi,
Complete Android Newbie here, please apologise my beginner question.
I'm looking for a way to root the new Samsung Galaxy S9 running latest updates, without tripping KNOX.
I've seen rooting tutorials around but they never mentioned Knox specifically. Would like to understand the options first, before starting to mess things up.
Thanks for your input!
Cheers

unless we get lucky and get root-able engineering bootloader.
I doubt we will see other method that's not tripping KNOX.
Not without sacrifice. This is a chose you make. Knox or root. Having both defeats both.
