Oh but whyred has good processor and your device has 4gb of RAM? I have Vince. Is this all available for Vince?

Whyred have 636 processor. i overclock it with kangarooX kernel.
I also tried many roms like you did.
so just find one with high ranks. you can find it on Xda front page. just install that rom.
install kangarooX or kirks kernel.
Manage your ram via nox cleaner and/or sd maid
Apply L speed boosters performance mode.
Apply GL tool settings. play on medium graphics, high fps. and you are good to go on vince/whyred or any device with 4gb/6gb ram.
I tried GL tools on a 2 gb ram device, applied potato graphics settings and i played it fair. so i think it should work for you too.

First i want to say Hi! to all of you out there.
Why is my neo-v so laggy?I tried many roms and kernels, but it still lags and i can't get an app to run properly withoul lagging. At first i thought it was the little amount of RAM,but i have a friend that has an LG Optimus Black and it laggs even more,so it can't be the RAM what else could it be?(I play CSR Racing a lot and with any Rom i tried it laggs, sometimes not so much)

if you are rooted you can try to overclock your device, also install custom kernels with better governors. try a search on the forum, you will get a lot of custom kernels also find ways to overclock your device.
hope i helped.
Thank you for your answer.I am rooted and now i am using fusion 5.5 kernel clocked at 1 .2 with ondemand gov and deadline gov for RAM and ZRAM on Racing Bean ROM.It is better but it still laggs sometimes. The only apps i've installed are:Facebook with messenger, yahoo mail,CSR racing, whatsapp, twitter,es file explorer and titanium backupThanks again!

Anyway our neo is not good for playing strong games. Buy a better phone or you'll burn your phone while overclocking.

Performance is a subjective term..
It varies from person to person.
Well, games do lag on our phones beyond a point and I've seen every android device lag after sometime of use while doing heavy multitasking, etc
Android OS as such needs to undergo a lot of development .
Well, you do have to pay a price for the seamless customizing option it gives us..

I never overclocked it to 1.6 Ghz.My maximum was 1.4 Ghz.Anyway greenify is a great app.It works like a charm. It made my phone faster and i think this is the fastest it can do.I am still thinking what I want.If i want to buy a new phone or buy another thing.Oh i remembered,I moved to Xtream Bean. It's a great fast rom,and it is faster with the performance boost from Racing Bean.Thank you guys!

Would recommend you to switch to Super Jelly Bean v5.o + Fusion v5.5 kernel.
And yes, avoid overclocking. I never do. And if you switch to any SJB or moAOKP v3, you'd get enormous amount of RAM that you need not overclock!

Well yes, not all apps are compatible with it. Just think like your phone was a computer/PC.
You install windows xp which is themable and can become like windows 7 (i think transforming it to windows 8 would make it less efficient.)
So you have the lightets and most beautiful version of windows ever on your pc. But still windows xp can only use directx 9 and cant use internet explorer10 (but anyway who's using internet explorer nowadays.). Also a lot of software is not compatible with it.
So you install windows 7. Windows 7 will give you an amazing collection features, apps and such but they will perform slower compared to windows xp. (We are always talking about a computer with about 1,3~1.5Ghz proccesor)
So you must choose between these two: A lot of compatible apps and slow speed OR excellent performance with lower app compability. Well you choose. Gingerbread or ICS/JB. It is up to you and how you are going to use your phone.
Also with the lemon cake (if i rember correctly) version of android there is going to be a huge performance increase because it is going to support phone with ram of about 512MB which is what our phone has. And with a fully working kernel 3 Performance should be increased [email protected]!

actually it is 335 for gingerbread
340 for ics and
384 for jb *as you said
Well because of the fact that i am afraid of unlocking my bootloader (no money to fix/replace the phone from any damage caused) i cant tell you about custom kernels. But our phone has in general 512mb of ram. Generally some memory is taken by the kernel for some functions for example camera/gpu. Camera 720p has been removed from jelly bean so thats why it has more free ram.
That happens on every phone i guess.

Thx for explaining me.Now i understood. But why does the gingerbread work smoother than jb if it has less RAM available
Oh,and i have another question(about CSR Racing). When I am on stock gb or ics when i press to shift the gears it goes late(doesn't matter if i oc or not).I mean like 3 sec late. But when i am on a custom rom it changes the gear perfectly. Why is that happening?

Well it seems to be lighter and probably I guess more optimized. Ram doesnt matter for performance in this case. Gingerbead was made to work on devices with even lower ram thats why no problems excists. Also my guess is tha Jb can work on even less ram smooth enough. Ram in android is mostly occupied by cached processes which are "useless" for the Os to operate correctly.
Anyway about csr racing i know nothing ).

let's talk about ram management on Kenzo 2 gb

Hi,
I used to love my Kenzo 2 gb version, untill I found out that his 1,8 gb of ram are so so low. But, is that true?!
I mean 2 gb are the minimun requirement for MM or NG I think, but with miui, miui port, NG based rom (didn't try oreo, or lineage MM), custom kernel, anything the ram management is really really bad.
After only two days of usage, free ram became 200mb or even 100mb with no social media app (just telegram and instagram with no notification allowed) or anything. Doze, greenify, clear ram or not clear it, doesn't change the situation, used ram increase day by day untill the phone is laggy and unusable.
So you have to restart the phone at least every two day. It's crazy today.
On custom ng roms the situation is a bit better but on miui, damn, the ram is so full that sometimes I can't even open the keyboard or camera.
Every 2 gb phones has this issue? is an MM/NG problem? or is a kenzo problem? is there something I (or we) can do to menage ram more efficently (I don't want free ram, I want a ram used in the correct way).?
thank u
Very good question, i suggest you make manual tweaks to lmk (low memory killer), it has helped my rn3 2gb multitask better on oreo
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
I have too faced that problem. It's mainly due to ROMs. Some ROMs have lag no matter which kernel you use or how much tweak it. I have literally tried each and every custom rom which are updated and found only some ROMs which have less noticable lag. Default miui rom, aex, RR by movzx, nos some builds and Oreo, and slim rom. On other rom I tried different kernel and when tweaked it to max but still lagged as hell. Even opening dialer app sometimes froze the system leave aside heavy gaming. This is really serious issue on 2gb because of which we are restricted to certain ROMs.
I too have a 2GB kenzo, but never had such problems...currently using NOS Oreo and it is fluid & fast. Same on miui.
Right now system occupies around 700MB + around 400MB apps, rest is available. Never had RAM problems myself...luckily.
Buy MI device unlock bootloader next day > Flash custom ROMs > RIP ****UI
That is the main reason why I've changed my Kenzo 2gb. I wasn't able to use miui at all with this phone, app killing and lagging was a daily basis. So I used the most Ram friendly rom with this phone, but still keeping more than 3 apps in the memory was a problem.
Idk, but maybe it's because of the x64 architecture (similar to pc, this architecture uses more ram). I had many phones with 32gb and x32 architecture and ram was never an issue.
So trust me, I've tried everything to improve the ram efficiency, but not much has changed. The only solution for me to change the phone.

3gb ram 32gb ROM vs 4gb ram 64gb ROM

There's this 2 versions of Redmi 5 Plus ...
The 4gb version worths the invested money?
My doubts are:
- The 3gb ram can handle reopening browser (mainly Opera to me but could be Chrome aswell just for the sake of testing) without reloading the webpages each time??? If so please tell me..
- Should I choose the 4gb ? It has some other major improvements over the 3gb ram ?
I just don't want to waste money for no significant improvements. Thanks! :fingers-crossed:
I think it's more important 64gb storage than 4gb of ram
For me 32gb it's not enough.
There are many videos showing the miui memory management problems on YouTube. (look at the comparative VS videos).
3gb is fine with stock Android. But miui has very bad ram management. It closes background apps much faster than stock Android. So, if you need multi-tasking it's advised to go with the 4gb version.
(4gb on miui seems worse than 3gb on stock.)
I'm on 4gb and happy with it so far.
Edit: That being said, if you come back to your browser after open perhaps 4 or 5 apps you should be fine with 3gb. But get the 4gb to be on the safe side. The price difference is only 20 bucks anyway, so definitely worth it).

It would be nice if I get paid in dollars, lol.. 20$ turn into 100 R$ (my local currency) .. comparable to 100 dollars to someone who lives abroad. It worths the investment anyway..
I have a Xiaomi Mi Note 2 (but it fell off to the ground yesterday and stopped working :crying .. Before I had a Lenovo Zuk Z2.. both with 4gb ram... I ditched MIUI in favor of Resurrection Remix .. What I can remember is that disabling MIUI Ram Management in settings it can hold a lot of apps in memory.. but as I said, my experience was not with 3gb ram..
Those comparison videos are not clear if they disabled the MIUI Ram Management.. so it would probably hold the apps opened in background (even with 3gb ram)... With 4gb it's garanteed to do the job..
If anyone here with 3gb ram can tell us your experiences regarding ram management and disabling that option, I would appreciate..
For those who are in doubt over prioritizing memory VS storage.. I would go for memory.. as the storage is upgradeable (with sd card).. memory is not.. and it gives you more time range to spend with the chosen device :good:

been using the 3gb for some time now... it good for multitasking. 4gb is an overkill. you should go with the 4gb variant mostly because its 64gb memory, I don't think you'll notice a performance difference in because of the increased ram, tho it's always nice to have more ram; you never know when you might actually need it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How to achieve a stable 60 fps gaming experience on POCO F1.

Hi does anyone here knows how to unlock the beast on Poco F1?
Like playing games that stays on 60 fps.
esp. on Mobile Legends and other heavy games.
Currently using Global Stable Miui 10.3.4
Kinda okay on games but i want to level up more my usual gaming experience.
any suggestions for custom roms, kernel and other tweak?
TIA for your answers.
I am playing Raid shadow legends and it has the 60 fps option in game, maybe the developer needs to add support in the game?
I'm also playing mobile legends, pubg on a solid 60fps. Don't know what you're talking about. Running stock rom, stock everything.
I am not a gamer but recently playing SHADOWGUN LEGENDS game and I was also having issues with low performance on Poco F1.
To enjoy game at 60fps:
1. Make sure the game support 60fps! - many games are locked at 30fps only. I guess PUBG is locked at 45fps?
2. Set the 60fps mode in supported game.
3. Play the game and see if game play is smooth as you want.
4. If not, your device is overheated and lower its performance rapidly. My Poco F1 is able to give full performance only for couple minutes, it drops down then up to 60% in some cases.
5. Get CPU Throttling Test app and let it run for 15 minutes - it automatically stops after this time.
6. I am sure you`ll see thermal throttling
7. To solve this get custom kernel, thermal profiles etc. - search on xda for it.
Keep Device cool don't charge it while playing. Mobile Legends turn on High Frame Rate it will run 60fps. for PUGB set graphics to Smooth and it will unlock Extreme settings for 60 fps. No need for custom rom or tweaks.
Well flashing Malakas kernel should do the job it is best for gaming , do check the geekbench scores after flashing the kernel if it's around 8800-9300 then I don't think you will face any problem while gaming but if the scores are still low (which was the case for me) flash PE ROM and then flash the kernel , best setup for gaming talking from personal experience
whats the best rom for gaming and battery for poco f1??

Yes i encountered the Thermal throttling btw which is sucks it will drop your FPS around 25-29FPS, it will stays around 1-3 minutes roughly.
Yes still looking for custom roms or kernel etc.

I'm also playing mobile legends, pubg on a solid 60fps. Don't know what you're talking about. Running stock rom, stock everything.

It can be dude it can be. But how long we're talking here? I doubt that solid 60 fps without a FPS drops/hiccups once in a while esp. while playing on long hours (no offense dude).

Thanks bro! May be thermal is the culprit.

Yup Oxygen os is also good but I never really played games while I was using Oxygen os , as far as my current gaming experience is concerned almost all of the games that i play eg. call of duty , pes 2018 run on their maximum settings without any fps drops

Thanks bro this i will try it out soon.
I am okay with the stock ROM Poco. Just make sure you turn on the high fps mode on the setting. Most game will turned off by default.
Download Google Play Services AR and make it to autostart.
Because, I installed Minecraft Earth, to play it Google Play Services AR required. Later I played other games and noticed an upgrade.
(Root required) Download GL tools from third party website (aptoide) and install. Then select your game, tick fake CPU and GPU option, use template, choose highest specs (meke the fake GPU Adreno 640) (RAM 8GB or above)
Stock kernel is the stable and best for gaming I guess.
And more.... Try using some build prop twerks (I don't know much twerks so Google it)

Increasing RAM size

Is it still possible to increase the RAM size of the Poco F1? I have the 6gb/128gb variant and I want to have maybe 2 to 4gb more RAM. I read around that it can be done with a swap file on older phones but I already tried that and even added up to 6gb but it doesn't seem to get used. Is there a custom ROM or magisk zip that can be used for that? My phone currently runs on Corvus with NGK.
The reason why I want more RAM? Egg NS. My phone frequently runs out of RAM and the game force closes.
Thanks!

What are these apps and games you use?
How do you fill the entire memory?
I switched to LineageOS + NGK because it's more stable. So far I only have DamonPS2 and Egg NS installed after flashing the ROM. Had no problems with DamonsPS2 even with stock ROM. Anyway, I said before the app in question is Egg NS, a switch emulator. The app needs 8gb RAM so the Poco F1 is short of 2gb that's why it force closes randomly. I get smoother framerates compared to stock but then I still run out of RAM.
Well, short of swapping the DRAM modules for bigger ones it would be impossible, and even then who knows if it would work?
Although now that you've posted this question, I'm left wondering if anyone has successfully done this… I know that Scotty from Strange Parts (and others) have swapped NANDs for bigger storage, but RAM I've never seen.
I think ram is included in the SOC, which means cpu, gpu, controllers, everything else will be also replaced if someone were to upgrade ram, basically changing the core of the phone.
I'm trying to make it work like this one. A really old post from 2012 so I doubt it'll still work for Android 10.

In that case why don't you try zRAM instead? Depending on the kernel your zRAM (or swap, for that matter) capabilities may differ, but give it a go!
IDK about other kernel utility apps, but EX Manager has the options.
Ok I'll give that one a try. Just tried Roehsoft RAM expander and it still works but the game runs really slow when it's already using the swap memory. At least it doesn't force close now. lol
