I have a Honor 8X phone and have noticed for the past 6 days that I'm unable to hear the other person on thr other end when calling and receiving calls.
The only time that I can hear the other person is when I turn on my speakerphone or insert a pair of headphones.
I have recently updated the phone software to EMUI Version 9.1.0 could this have been the cause of my problem?
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem. If you have done and have managed to resolve it. I would gratefully appreciate any help in this matter.
It's not the EMUI version as it works fine, so it's either you dropped it and the front speaker is no longer working or if you have any doubles about it being the EMUI, you can install HIsuite and downgrade.

Hi
I've had my o2 xda a few weeks now and upgraded the radio version to 4.16 couple of days after i got it. Problem is that if i phone someone the phone gives the activesync end sound and hangs up about 3 mins into the call. Incoming calls are fine. Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks
Ian
I have had the phone since launch and I have just started to get this problem happen 3 or 4 times a day now.
It has come to the point where I make calls on my old Nokia work phone.
Does anyone else have this problem?
It happens to me on reciveing calls or making them , the other person can not hear anything but I can hear them fine.
I am going to try and return my phone for a exchange tommorow.
i had the opposite problem, sometimes i cant hear who's calling me but they can hear me. The strange thing is that this problem disappeared when i changed my carrier from Vodafone Italy to Wind Italy.
I have a G925A AT&T version - unlocked. I've been using it on Straight Talk for the past year with no problems. Switched to T-Mobile last week and everything seems to have been going fine. However my husband has had issues where nearly every time he calls me, he hears very loud buzzing-static when I answer the phone and I just hear silence on my end. But the call always goes through when he tries a second time. We thought it was his cell phone (Huawei Honor 8) having problems but today he called me from his landline at work and he heard the exact same loud buzzing-static noise while I got silence. So it has to be something with my S6 Edge. I've searched online and am coming up empty and I can't even figure out if it must be a setting I need to change for T-Mobile or maybe my phone is going bad?

Hmm - were they able to fix it? Sounds like I'll have to go in to T-Mobile and talk to them, then. This can't go on - it's literally every other phone call and the sound is so loud my husband is afraid it's going to damage his phone.

I just got this phone brand new. When I place call it works for 2-3 seconds then badly breaks up (about 80% is not heard) same thing when I receive call. I can hear person just fine but they can't hear hardly anything I say. Also with hangouts it doesn't even show that someone is calling, I can call through hangouts fine and then person can hear me fine, so it's not mic issue it seems. I am on t-mobile in USA. For some reason I also can't activate t mobile visual voice mail. Is this bad cell radio or it can't read sim (signal is ok , but it doesn't show lte just 4g , my mate 9 shows 4g lte )? Anyone got any suggestions ? I am on stock firmware. (At this point I don't really care about the hangouts issue)
OK, I do not understand this at all. So Mate 10 is for my wife I still have Mate 9 this issue with phone calls only appears if she calls me on Mate 9. If I put my sim in OP3T we can talk just fine. On another hand any other phone calling my Mate 9 I have no issues. However no matter what phone dials Mate 10 it always goes to VM. I tried swapping sim around same result. I have no clue what is going on. I need to figure out if this is phone's fault or not.

If I put network mode to gsm only it rings. Why doens't it work over 4g ?
EDIT. Actually it doesn't seem to work over 2g or edge most of the time either.
One of the many problems that the device has, but Huawei does nothing.
I'd recommend you to return the device and buy something else.

Let me guess: You have a dark voice? If so, then the "AI" inside the phone, cancels out most of your voice because it thinks that your voice is just background noise.
I don't think that has anything to do with this. I think there must be something going on with radio. Hangouts is working ok after factory reset but calls don't most of the time. It will not make calls sometime even with 3-4 bars. I am not getting any help anywhere , I have no choice but to return the phone.
Problem:
Me and my friend call from India to Philippines, we both have same handset, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. For 2 months until December VoIP calls never had issues then we started getting noisy calls. Like whatever we speak will start echoing a bit and keep filling into noise, other times echo will start and then call will get noisy like birds are chirping. It happens in messenger and whatsapp. It happens in Duo too but duo has noise gate so noise goes away as soon as we stop speaking.
Diagnosis
So we tried calling each other from different devices and narrowed down the problem to my friend's device. But when she took it to service center they said nothing is wrong with device, and she had no way to prove the problem because she tried calling her local friends and never had such issue.
So I would like to know if someone else has face this issue and if it is common issue with VoIP calls over long distance but I doubt it because no other devices has this issue. What can we do to prove the problem to service center to either get it repaired or replaced?
I think I posted in wrong subforum, please move to correct one.
