Hi guys,
I repaired my Poco F1, but I lost screws.
I marked in the picture where the screws are, maybe someone knows what kind of screws they are.
i think no one could help about screw here
but maybe you need to bring your poco to local authorized xiaomi service center
All I remember from the last time I had the back off mine is that they're tiny
Suggest you either pull apart an old phone see if has the same sized screws or buy a pack of multiple sizes like this link https://a.aliexpress.com/_rv5CRC though that would be a fairly obscene waste of hundreds of tiny screws
Ask at a repair shop and be more careful next time?

Need HELP as I have lost screws on both sides of BA. Can I use such other screws as eyeglasses' than BA's genuine screws, which are hard to find in my country?, and which size of screw is best fit with BA's?
i cannot tell for sure, which screws you are missing and what screws you want to take as a generic replacement, but a suggestion:
here you'll find the official htc blueangel service manual:
http://printer1.blogspot.com/2009/03/htc-blue-angel-service-manual.html
on page 53 there is a spare part list, also containing the measurements and names of the screws, googling them or asking in a local hardware store might help you.
plus, as probably by the names you don't know if those are the specific ones you're missing, refer to page 57/58, where you find photos of the screws.
Many thanks.
They are exactly what appear in last picture of page 26 i.e. 2 screws on the side of units
I've tried to map with picture frame in page 58, but not sure between these 2, which are:
Frame#28 (P/N: 72H00642-00M = SCREW,M1.6*3,Flat-sinkheadwithTorxrecess,H)
Frame#33 (P/N: 72H00441-00M = SCREW,TORX,FLAT,M1.6X4.5mm,BLACK,Pb-FREE)
And if I want to find the substituted screws, how can I explain their size to the store? For example, how to read the size of 'M1.6*3mm'? Please advise.
i can't tell you exactly, which one it is, although now i know which ones you were referring to. i think it is #28, because of the sinking head and the color, all the device's internal screws are black but those are silverish.
in case it is #28:
72H00642-00M is the HTC part number, that can become expensive ordering from them.
if you want to contact a local retailer, the rest of the information is relevant, you look for a torx screw, with a sinkhead and the metric measurements M1.6X3mm, meaning, without the head, the screw has a diameter of 1.6mm and is 3mm long.
maybe you should check electronics shops, computer shops, maybe handicrafts shops for that, and when you found a retailer having that general kind of screws, test them.
the only difference between the 2 types of screws you posted, is the length and the type of head, and i think you can simply try it out. try the longer one first, if it doesn't go in, take the shorter one. easy thing.
good luck with that.

Will be 1.6 dia by 3mm long. I lost those screws over 2 years ago and have never replaced them, phone has not fallen apart and still works fine!

same here. it seems a little bit shaky though.
so I just have to look for a screw with 1.6mm diameter and 3mm long?

Yes and if at all possible, avoid torch type screws (at least I think that's what they are called), which are the ones that require a start headed screw driver (not talking about phillips)

you are lucky my friend..
my phone fell to the floor once, and started hard reseting by itself from time to time, took it to a shop for fix and the guy lost this 2 screws and my phone ended useless reseting again and again, but because of this, found that the problem was in the case so i super glued the area were the case was loose because of this 2 screws and phone started working again.
i bought a cdma BA for parts but the screws are not the same (or this technic guy broke the tread) so it have no screws on the side, and after superglue no auto hard resete.
It's definitely the m1.6x3 torx sinkhead; you need a T5 screwdriver.
Of course you can also use other screws- e.g. crossrecess-
but i think torx look the best.
Following eBay-item contains a sheet which shows the meaning
of m1.6x3

Without a doubt . . . .
Hey,
Does anyone know where i might be able to get a new one? I cracked the glass some time ago now and would like to get it replaced.
Also anyone know where i can obtain a new or refurbed battery cover as mine seems to be peeling.
Thanks,
Healy.
I got mine here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-GENUINE-HTC-HD2-BLACK-BACK-HOUSING-REPLACEMENT-/260655128116?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhoneAccessories_MobilePhoneFascias_JN&hash=item3cb0419e34
Delivery was quick and the parts seem to be the same as the orginal
Thats great! Did it take long to fit?
No, not too long maybe 30 mins or so.
You need some basic tools (T4 Torx driver and a case opener) you can buy what you need at the same place http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REPAIR-OPENING-TOOLS-KIT-PDA-MOBILE-PHONES-6-PCS-/110575259857?pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item19becc90d1
Then you'll need the first few minutes of video 1 here http://pocketnow.com/hardware-1/official-htc-hd2-disassembly-assembly-training-videos-leaked It's pretty straight forward, basically you take out the battery remove 4 screws, pry off the old cover, fit the new one and then reverse the process!
Just be careful of static, if you're not feeling confident you should be able to find a shop tp do this for you.
Hope this helps
Hey all, I have a Streak I bought last Christmas and ended up dropping and breaking the screen. It is still under warranty, aside from the sticker being missing on the one torx screw. Its still in mint condition physically with no scratches. All of a sudden the cameras quit working the other day. It wont connect to them, and I know its software and not a hardware issue caused by me repairing the screen. I cannot remember which screw had the sticker on it an would like to replace the phone through warranty. Can anyone tell me which screw the sticker was located on? Any other information would be helpful too, as in the type of sticker or diameter. I know it was pretty thin and white, as the torx driver when right through it with no effort. Or how hard are they to take off and put back on? Could I get the new phone and take it off fairly easily and throw it on the old one before I send it in?
u mean screw under the home plate or under the earpiece plate? if yes thn thr is no warranty sticker i just check mine.
Really? Mine had one under the home place I believe. Cant remember which screw it was exactly, think there is three. But if yours didnt have a sticker at all I wonder if Ill be alright sending it in as is?
I've replaced my screen a few times and I had no warranty stickers on the screws

HIi,
It would be great if someone could guide me as to how I can replace the USB flap and battery cover on my Xperia GO , I took it the service center and was told I would have to pick up a new phone with a 20% discount on the new one.. its just the USB cover that got cut.. feel totally ripped off with this purchase ... is it possible for me to do some kind of DYI stuff and replace these parts?
Would also appreciate references to aftermarket service centers to get this fixed in Bangalore,India
Although I don't own a Xperia Go, but I found a few sites that sell replacement parts for the covers.
http://stellatech.com/sony-st27i-xperia-go-usb-cover-(black),a,en,812866.html
http://www.parts4repair.com/usb-cover-for-sony-xperia-go-st27i-white/
You can try to order from them and assemble them yourself. Based on the design, it should be a simple push in. If you can't do it, bringing it down to a simple handphone repair shop with the parts and they should be able to do it for you (maybe with a bit of money). Should be too expensive.

I have this exact same issue. The flap has been pulled off the tether, leaving a small part hanging out the phone. I posted on another andriod forum about this and a Sony Tech member made a point that part is easily fixable but if the back cover of the phone is removed there may be issues with water? There's also a special tool to replace the back panel. I'm guessing equal light pressure and even tightening of the screws is all that's required, as well as taking care not to damage the O ring seal. Search for 'Sony Xperia go ST27 Service Manuals.zip' and you should find a link to download the service manuals for the phone if you like. It has PDF videos for a full teardown of the device.
I'm confident that the part can be replaced without taking the rear cover off. I pulled out the broken part of the tether with some needle nose pliers. I made sure the pliers were gripping the plastic and then gave a quick sharp pull and the tether came out. I had initially tried just pulling the broken tether slowly but the plastic stretched, and in hindsight it could have snapped and made things more difficult to remove/maybe? The new cover should be a matter of pushing the tether back into the small hole with some good tweezers/pliers.
Thanks for all your inputs.. Would be great if you could link to the service manual..

Hope someone can help me, but I got this on my phone and I hope I can fix it.

Hey,
As what I've seen in the tear down videos, the plastic corner is part of the entire inner body, and if you want it fixed, the entire phone must be dissembled and the inner body replaced with a new one. If you do this in a uncertified repair shop, you can forget about water resistant part of the phone specifications. The metal part by my opinion can be replaced without full phone disassembly.
Actually I dropped mine with a tpu case, and I can see a small deformation on the metal part only too.. (on almost the same place like yours)

That sounds expensive
If your phone was to say "brake" due to manufacture fault and you take your phone back to where you got it, you might just get a replacement. Wink wink.

thats too late when it has already fell to the ground, with marks like that there will be straight no.
Its not Sony's fault you dropped it, and they dont know if it was "broken" before the fall or not, thus they wont replace it.
I am not saying it is like this all around the world, but we operate by these guidelines where i work, and they are provided by Sony, and thats what I know.
Heya.
I have same problem with my 6683. Any idea where I can find an inner metal frame for it so I can change it myself, or with someone from London, which I assume I'll find here, on XDA Developers forum and wants to give it a try, or has already done this magic before?
Cheers.
Actually, corners are sold separately, depends on where you shop. I know witrigs.com has them, 4 corners for a set.
can the 4 corner parts be replaced without damaging water resist
Witrigs sells the whole frame for 17 USD. It's listed as "OEM Middle Frame Replacement for Sony Xperia Z5 Premium COLOR". I ordered mine and couldnt be happier with it, my phone looks brand new
They also sell the corners but they're about 4 USD, so the full frame is a better value.
Thank you
I already purchased some parts for another phone and they came fast enough. I enjoyed the experience with them and I'm pleased to recommend as a trustful company.
Now, I just need to save some money to repair all my phones owned in the last years.
Hopefully, soon we won't be needing them -
