I have a Unit PW10B1 T-mobile stuck on the T-mobile boot screen, anyway I found out “GSM ERROR” in the boot loader, any suggestion or a way to fix it, I have a working o2 mobile, I’m not aware of the battery I could replace it from the other unit and recharge it…so pls give me feedback it’s very important to me, thank you.
If you can't access the device through active synce to try flashing the RSU, then you can do nothing except trying hard reset ... if it doesn't solve it it's better to send it to repair

Hello Biso, I can't access the device through the active sync, I tried Hard reset as well same problem the Unit stucks on the boot screen and the light flashes every like 5 seconds... about the repair center here in leb it's impossible there's no techis could solve this problem.. Isn't another way to do something to this unit ?
Unfort. NO, I couldn't find anyway to flash the RSU through SD ... the only option if you can pass the boot screen is to copy the RSU upgrade 4 files through SD card to the \windows\starup directory and soft rest
I'll try to get in I have nothing than just to let this unit works :
Anyone here consider to say something here for help ?
I'm still stuck thus I tried the Volume buttom to enter the today screen no luck as well ,but I noticed there's an Infrared connection btw my pc and the xda but active sync cannot connect to it, But I could send a files to the Xda like now am sending a .cab file I know it's not gonna make any diffrence but still maybe someone consider some help here.........
Someone would like to help here ?
Its not much good sending a file if you cant access and execute it on the xda, you have probably realised by now that "gsm error" is likely to be fatal to your xda. There is a person on this forum called Cgigate, he lives in Canada and can fix it, dont know the charges though so you need to ask him. I think he most likely writes direct to the chip through the address lines on the chip legs probably using a jtag interface and software.

If i understand it right you're able to transfer files from your PC to yiur XDA.
HAve you already tried to transfer the right RSU-File to the device and tried to start the update once again?

Yes I could transfer any file I want to the Xda but still I can't do anything to it I can't reach it thus it's not an auto installer... Thus the screen is freezed on the T-mobile image, I tried the Volume buttom to enable the today screen still no luck as well :?
Ok.
So you think, with auto installer it could work. There has been a little how to about creatind an SD card with auto installer to start the RSU Upgrade. This would be the last posibility you can try to fix your device...

I had that auto installer file I copied it to an SD an prepared it to do that, anyway I hadn't tried it on that device later on I plugged it in my working XDA and the show begun by installing the RSU ON MY WORKING DEVICE  I removed quickly the SD ,Installation stuck on 1% I went back to the start up folder and deleted the files  lol I don't wanna tell you how much it feels it's like your seeing your baby dying infront of your eyes and you can't do anything about it,at the end It's still alive breathing, working properly  beware guys of the RSU issue it's really horrible it might get ur device in the tombs..
For the past 6 hours I have been trying to make the No GSM error message on my Cingular 8525 go away. I cannot use the phone to make any calls whatsoever. I originally unlocked the phone to work with T-Mobile which worked for about 2 months and now this error message. The last and only ROM image that I can load to this phone is the Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.60a-0823_Full.exe. Any other ROMs I try to load either does not pass 0% or goes to 12% and freezes. I tried to follow the unlocking steps again but it ROM upgrade part would not pass 0%. So, I loaded the Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.60a-0823_Full.exe again and checked the Device information. In there I do not see any radio version. The other ROM it loads also is Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.54b-0804_Full.exe. NO other ROMS will load. And even if I load the 3.54b or the 3.60a ROM from Schaps and check the Device Information. It only shows the ROM version and the ROM date. Theres no info for Radio version: or Protocol version. What can cause this and also I think that is the reason why my phone is not recognizing the SIM card. I need a way to put a radio version on this phone. Also, I tried 3 different SIM cards and none works. So if someone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Well, here would be a good place to start... you should try posting your message there.... do some reading...
Intensefactor,
How much reading and research did you do before you attempted to upgrade the ROM on your phone? Can't be that much else you would know that Schaps ROMS don't have a radio built in.
Have you looked at the mrvanx guides and the other info availableon here?
WB
I read as must as possible yesterday and I still cannot flash any ROM with a Radio version in it. Any ROMs that does not include a radio version like the original ones I flashed can be flashed to the phone. Other than that no other ROMs can be flashed to the phone. Or even flash a radio version separately. I even tried following http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=62&Itemid=26. How can I flash a radio version to the phone? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you once again.
Is there anyone that can at least point me in the right direction?

Maybe i'm the unlucky one out of the bunch. Now myphone is stuck on the tri-color screen with HERM100 IPL-1.04 on the top left and HERM100 SPL-2.03 under it. The only way I can get my phone to come on is with the 3 key soft reset. If I hit the power button on the phone all it does is show the green light on the top of the phone. So, I cannot even hit the power button to get the phone on no more. I have to Hold the Power, OK and the Soft reset buttons just to get to the tri-color screen now. If I try to flash any ROMs without a radio, it goes to 1% then the phone reboots and goes to a blank screen again. If anyone have any other ideas. Please reply to this post. Reading and reading hasn't really gotten me anywhere. Maybe some explanation from someone might help now. So, please if someone help give me some advice, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi all,
I have looked for a similar post, I found out that many people experienced something like that trying unlocking their phones, but I haven't found out any solution.
Here is my situation:
I have tried to unlock my s5830 (orange spain carrier), I have used a method which it seems to be dangerous for the phone, but of course I have found out it was dangerous after I have already tried it
Anyway after I discovered the unlock number contained in the perso.txt file in the efs folder, my phone restarted without service once and after that it went in a bootloop mode, it goes on a download mode, but there is no way to get back recovery mode or a normal boot.
I flashed the s5830 several times with many firmware, but no one worked, and the phone is still stuck in an infinite loop, in which I am not even able to see the samsung logo coming out at the very beginning.
I know many phones got bricked in this way, I wanted to know if anybody has been able to recover the phone or if anybody know any possible solution.
And if not, do you know if the warranty is covering this problem? I just got the phone a couple months ago; i have unlocked other devices before, but this is the first time I have experienced a problem so I am quite new about warranty as well. Please HELP ME
Merry Christmas guys!!!
Thanks in advance

with the cellphone off, put out ur baterry for a minute, then maintain ur finger into the volume down button and the power button tell a friend or if u can alone insert the batery while quickly pressing volume down and power button to get into download mode, and flash.
Hehehe, bootloop is horrible, you just have to get in download mode & flash with 2.3.4 firmware with Odin, just that steps and you save your SGA.
I got bootloop many times and Odin saved me.

he cant go back in recovery mod............
If you can go to recovery mode than you can just wipe the data and cache. This saved me many times. Otherwise on what ever OS you may be , just create new user name after removing samsung android drivers. Login from new user name and than re install drivers again and now flash your phone from firmware which was installed on your phone before you bricked it. This helped me a few times.

It seems that you've already received a lot of help for unbricking your device. So I'll try to help out in unlocking your phone after you finished unbricking it.
This is the method I personally used on my locked Ace:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335548
It's perfectly safe. 100%.

I have tried the XXKP9 again, it is not working, as usual Odin ends to load the firmware and then it goes back in the endless loop mode....there is no chance to get it back?

thank you very much I will follow your advice...IF I will be able to get my phone back which seems impossible =(
@dr_vishal
Thank you first of all, I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the android device driver, but it doesn't seems to be the problem, Odin ends with a "PASS" at the end, I guess there still is comunication in the between the two devices...
Hopefully it will be a Merry Christmas =)
It's not impossible. I'm relatively new here but I have noticed quite a few "bricked" threads already. Most of them (if not all) have been able to fix their device. I haven't seen a single person permanently brick their device, so I would guess that your chances of fixing it are really high. Just be patient and keep describing your situation and more experienced help will certainly arrive. I'd really like to help out but I have no idea how to fix it as I have not experienced bricking my phone yet.
Anyway, if the method for unlocking I suggested works for you kindly press the Thanks Button. Merry Christmas!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153310
just a thought
a lot of people have talked about reflashing it and all but have you managed to get into the recovery mode at all once you have reinstalled the rom with odin? if you can get to that you just need to hit factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik and normaly after that it will work fine... so far ive been stuck in soft brink 3 times and each time doing the wipes from the recovery mode has worked...

I've tried to use the oneclick, but it seems it doesn't recognize the phone, since, i guess, it's made for a galaxy s.
The others are not my case, since I am able to get download mode, and all these are made to can get it back.
Anyway I found out a post in which the people were talking about the s5500, which apparentely is similiar to my device, and the owners of that model experienced a similar problem doing the same process....anyway in that post the people needed to use a Jtag, which is the only way to get it back....so I though it could be the same solution for my problem...but I don't know anybody with Jtag, so the only way is contacting the service center.
thanks anyway, when I will be back at home after Christmas I will try to find the ticket and I will probably try to get it back in warranty, since is preatty new...
@torchwolfery
I am not able to reach recovery mode, there is no way to get it back, even flashing the phone with different firmwares, all I got is download mode, and apparently that is completely pointless...since the only change in the phone behavior is that if i install a certain firmwares it doesn't even have the back-light working when it is stuck in bootloop.
Warranty is your only hope (as it was mine once and it worked).
I didn't think it was possible to brick these phones. There I have tried so much to try and brick it but I have not been able to as it still always goes into 'download' mode. The only advice I can give you is double check that you are using the correct version of Odin which is v4.38 and that you use cooper v1.0 as your OPS. If dont mind me asking, but exactly what did you do or do you remember the steps you took to brick it? What buttons are you using for 'recovery' mode.
Also please clarify if Odin is going in a loop or does the phone come on and then keeps rebooting? If it is the phone that keeps rebooting, then wiping cache and data partition should do the trick. This can be done by going into recovery mode (which I am aware you cannot get into) or if you can manage to get into the dialler quick enough before the reboot, by dialling *7267*3855# and that should format the relevant partitions (data and cahce) and bring it back to factory settings. Without further info, I cannot really tell exactly what the situation is.
The fact that you are getting 'download' mode, I dont think that it is bricked because it will still allow you to write the relevant directory/files to the relevant blocks. Either way, would be interested to know.
Hi!
I would need a quick help from you guys pls, i'm facing a kernel panic and want to gather information, when i try to do it with last_kmsg i only get the messages of the boot up in it, no errors (no matter if i try to access it from recovery directly after i shut the device down or from system after the reboot).
Now i'm currently at upload mode because i reproduced it and want to gather information, but i don't know how (sry, i'm a samsung noob, been using htc before).
Any quick help would be much appreciated.
P.S.: Pls post no solutions how to get out of it or solve the issue, i know how, but i want to gather information for the developer that he maybe can fix it.
Anyone pls, there have been already 107 views, if searched myself (and still doing) and all i found has been things like wipe, format,... but no hint how to use upload mode itself to get informations.
Sry about my impatientce, but even if i know it won't harm my device to stay in upload mode i'm a bit worried about it.
Ok, i'm leaving upload mode now, will try to reproduce it if someone is able to give me a respond sometime.
