twitter edge lightning not working help - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Anyone else facing this problem? I have everything enabled properly and yet, somehow, isn't working. ?

I set up TweetCaster for edge lighting and I don't believe it works for that either. I'm batting less than. 500 for edge lighting working w my apps.

It's really weird issue. ?

I set it for Tapatalk too and pretty sure that doesn't light either. I think WhatsApp and Messaging are all that works, not even 100% sure it works for messaging all the time either. Don't think Gmail lights. Edge lighting has always been faulty since I've known about it.

I've continued to mess around with various notification settings and I did get TweetCaster to work but not while screen is off. When I figure out what I did I'll circle back and post it.

How to delete pink spot sgs2?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 rooted with original KE7 firmware.
I have a pink spot in the photos/videos.
There is a solution to resolve this bug?
Yes and no. I have it too and found out that the automatic white-balance is a problem factor. When I use another preset it's much better. But here comes the problem:
There are only a few presets.
Besides that you can only get your phone replaced or use post-processing.

[Q] Compass and Gyroscope drivers fails after drop.

Hi, I'm new to this forum so please help me on my way, thank you guys. So recently I received my Galaxy S3 and I accidentally dropped it on the concrete floor. The screen and external parts of the phone is perfectly fine. Totally fine. But when I'm using Google Maps, until my friend used his Droid Razr, I never did realised that my compass was pointing to the opposite direction. It was all thanks to my friend as I could've been late for an important event. The problem with the gyroscope is that, well, it won't work. The gyroscope calibration under the 'Display' section of settings will always be stuck at the center like as if I did not move the device at all. Beside these two drivers, nothing else is wrong.
Nothing related to your dropped phone
Mine was never dropped and have the same issue...
I think that samsung will have to work on a software update for these two things
this issue happened with my galaxy tab 7 plus also
Turning off smart rotation helped for me.

[Q] Unlock Screen Delay?

has anyone noticed a delay when unlocking the screen? Once you push the unlock button, it takes 1-2 seconds for the screen to turn on. but when locking the phone, the screen shuts off instantly. Its a bit annoying and embarrassing and makes the phone look slow and sluggish. I've also seen this happen in several reviews online from phonedog and others, but no one has ever said anything.
has anyone else notice this?
Me too. I don't know if it's something we've done though. I'd like to get my hands on some more phones to compare.

I remember all Sprint SGS2's would do this and was very much relieved that my new Verizon SGS3 is free of such annoyance!
What versions of S3 you guys have (carrier)?
Vzw

I have Verizon as well. But this isn't a Verizon only problem, it's the same hardware on all carriers. I've seen reviews of the att and tmobile version and they both have this delay..aybe the delay isn't as bad as it was on the s2 so it's not as noticeable to you

Feature Request / screen on for notification

Hey guys, the notification light is pretty unnoticeable on my desk and I think it would be nice to have the option to have the screen briefly light up with a small notification in the lock screen. Would be nice for those that have to keep on silent but still know what's coming in without constantly picking up the phone, or looking for that tiny light to flash when your expecting a text or email. Thanks!

ChompSMS offers that for texting
It also has a quick reply setting.
For some reason, the Play Store says it is not compatible with our phone. I downloaded it from their site here and it works fine. http://chompsms.com/main/install_chomp
I know I know but the IPhone notifications app from the play store is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

From the reviews, it sounds like the last update made the app not work for a lot of current users.

Its working fine for me. I just took the wife's phone and blasted it with various messages and emails both screen off and on. Worked great. I take market reviews with a grain of salt as their usually from spoiled 12 year olds that only post when "something doesn't work " . If I can unlock a bootloader than by god I can set up an app properly lol

LG V10 Ok Google detection

I have enabled all settings and trained and retrained the voice model. I cannot seem to get the OK Google detection from any screen. It works when I open the app or when I slide up from the bottom which is opening the app. I am using the Verizon Wireless version.
Any tips or is anyone else experiencing this issues too?
I had the same issue yesterday, but now it works for some reason. The only thing I did was to install the Google Now launcher, update the settings there, test it, and go back to the LG UI. There's no way for me to know if this made it work, I just know that now it does.
I'll try this and see what happens. I wish it would just work the way its built.

Using Google Now Launcher didn't help.

I read somewhere the other day that the most recent update to google search broke voice detection from any screen and lock screen. Waiting on a fix from Google..
That would make sense. I was getting frustrated with this device. It doesn't have the smart screen that stays on when you're looking at it and the issue with the fingerprint not working with a case then Ok Google detection not working. I was about to take it back.

I had this issue on the htc m9 also, so I figured it was the app, or Android version 5.1
It seems to be fixed now.

Mine still works just about half the time, just like on the HTC m9.
I have no issues with it since an update a few days ago.

Nice, I just checked and I have an update, so I'm hoping it'll be the same here.
Update: so far so good.

What is the version? Mine doesn't work. And when I retrain, it doesn't even hear me. However I can hit the microphone button and ask it a question without issue.
In Settings/Apps, the "Google App" I have is version 5.5.29.19.arm64
That's the most updated. Are you sure that you have Voice Detection turned on?
Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
Gah, mine is actually still sporadic here, worse than before even. At the moment I can't train my voice or talk after hitting the microphone button.... The Google app just isnt hearing me at all anywhere. The LG voice command app seems to work so I don't think it's my microphone.
It seemed to be working last night but I rebooted my phone this morning and now nothing

Yup. And when I attempt to retrain it, it says "listening" even after I say "OK Google". It just doesn't hear me. But I can press the mic icon and say "what time it is it" or any question like that without any issue at all.
Hmmmmm. I have found that the V10 does have some bugs. Not sure exactly why. For example, sometimes I see it disconnect from what is a very stable WiFi.

I haven't seen that, but I have noticed that the signal strength meter for the wifi seems to show a weaker signal than it did with my M9. And that the cell reception also seems a bit weaker as well.
It happens to me more at work than at home. Sometimes I have to switch to the Xfinity connection to watch Hulu. The WiFi at work isn't great. That's why we all hardwire our laptops.

My only similar scenario is watching Showtime at the gym. They have a Netgear router there. I have now watched all of the latest season of Homeland there (about 50 minutes per episode), and haven't had any disconnection issues.
