Hello fellow G2 users, I have lost my G2 to age now and i can’t seem to find Vienna Boy’s preloaded FLAC files. It was a 50ish MB file that played in its music player. Not the ringtones and all.
I think it was one of the three tracks preloaded.
If someone have those files, may i please have them?
FLAC Files
you can extract those audio as well as video files from .kdz / .tot firmaware using LG Firmware Extract Tool.

Lockdown is here too. I don't have the firmware files and their size is more than 2GB and my internet is just 2Mbps so it would take about 1.5 hrs to download it. Maybe you should wait more or ask someone else.
If you want those FLAC files because you loved the music and you want to hear them again then you can hear all the LG tunes here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsODcesA3OU

Out of convenience but mostly to save space i have been ripping my cd's into flac albums and stored them on my external hardrive the issue is... i can't seem to stream them. "vlc direct pro" streams them but heavely distored "samsung allshare" and "ImediaShare" refuse to play them "unsupported". the fone does play flac files once i put them on the fone's Int SD or EXT SD and streaming .mp3 from the same location works just fine but flacs sound better to me(i don't want an debate on which sound better) i just wish to know if anyone has found an app that can succefully stream .flacs as i have a huge collection
No one has been able to stream flacs yet?

And I won't enter that debate, because neither sound "better" - ABX or it didn't happen

obscure? How?
Streaming is pretty much down the list of questions ever asked as is FLAC . You have to wait for someone who actually does stream FLAC to answer .
The answer may be with an XDA member who uses the forum infrequently its as simple as that .

If you want to stream to the phone from your PC, look at AudioGalaxy. It should be able to stream anything your PC can play, so flac should be no problem.
If this isn't what you're after then maybe you could explain a little more.
i can stream flac to my mobile. I just am looking for a App on my fone that can receive a "flac"encoded stream
I hate transcoding if possible i would like to avoid it
I got ~300-400songs in my S2, i can't use phone to make playlist. Is there another way ???

If I'm not wrong u can create a playlist on PC.
Then u must save it in .m3u format so that the player recognize it.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
my quick playlist method
What I do...i click and drag music files to the phone/memory card first.
Once the files are there, i open up winamp classic, click and drag the mp3's i want in a playlist from the phone into the winamp playlist (shortcut or plus symbol appears on drop).
Now i just click save playlist (m3u) on bottom left tab, and then save the playlist in the phone/memory card music folder.
Done
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just read people have trouble with m3u.
I have always used a 3rd party music player on my android phones including this one...
winamp is a free simple app that works.
also works on player pro
Why don´t you try another player, like winamp or poweramp?

You can't download music straight off to the phone. WP doesn't use the generic file system. You will have to transfer music/videos etc via Zune Client over the desktop. This way everything is signed, secure and no chances of any 3rd party apps or websites adding malware or viruses on the phone.
Download Easyring. you can download songs, ringtones and make playlist and ****. the best app on wp7
When you download a google play movie. What directory are they downloaded in. I want to try to put it on sd card after that point for more space when offline. Although I know its probably not possible. That is fine. But does anyone know where its downloaded and what format ? Oh yah I know internal phone memory but where.
THanks,
Ok does anyone at least know the file extension will be ? If you could tell me that I could find the directory . I know it will be at root level
Ok I finally figured out where it is stored. So I temp unrooted my phone made purchase and then selected download for offline viewing. So in the directory there is a file
application_4jSa8szMNjs.wvm
so i brought my root back to get into that directory then where i was stumped i figured it would be wmv mp4 3gp or whatever with drm protection but no its wvm I have never heard of wvm. so anyways I moved the wvm file to a different directly. Temporarily unrooted my phone . Then went into the google play movie app and it said that the download was missing. so i know I have the proper file. Now my question is does anyone here know anything about a .wvm file ?
So...what directory did you actually find the file in?
(edit)
found it!
/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.videos/files/Movies/<random characters>/<video file>.wvm
plays with?.... plays with?.... MX Player.

Im messing around with this right now. Do you have to be rooted to pull out the complete file? Im using AirDroid and I can see the file and im attempting DL now. I am not rooted. When I used android file transfer on my MBA i couldnt see the same file. Im hoping AirDroid allows you to pull the file and play it normally. Ill update after its finished DLing.
Quick question, what would happen if I pulled a wvm file from my device and put it on some one else's device? Would it work?
Thanks!
Super useful info! Thanks!

YES! I copied the file from my Galaxy Note 3 (rooted) to my computer, renamed it and changed the file extension from .WVM to .AVI (no conversion needed whatsoever) and it plays using VLC on my Mac. I then loaded the video onto my Husband's iPhone 5 to the VLC folder and it plays perfectly as well!

Hello MrRageMan299,
Did you just try and change the file extension from .WMV to .AVI? Worked for me....
I also just tried and changed the extension from .WMV to .mp4 and it plays using the stock Samsung Video Player as well as Dolphin jetpack / browser and QuickPic app in the Play Store--> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder&hl=en
No conversion down whatsoever....
I know this thread is old but do the movies still expire after changing the file extension?
How will rented movies affect this?
Will the movie still be transferable if it is rented?
I'm looking for an Android app that can play a listen.pls or NSV file just buy opening the file from a file manager within the phone. Anyone know any app that can do that?
I haven't tried these because i dont have any files in the format you asked about but seaman video player, abdroid, double twist and streamcast, all claim to play those file formats.

I tried Seaman Video Player and doubleTwist and they don't. I don't know what abdroid and streamcast are or where to find them. Did you make a typo?
I googled it and that's what came up...????
Edit:
Abdroid was a typo on results
and the other was shoutcast but I don't think its what you are looking for. Sorry

I've tested the Winamp app, but it didn't work. I also used IO File Manger or Astro File Manager to open it. I even tried Stream Media player and pasted the url for the stream, but it didn't work. I also tried the VLC Stream and Convert app, but that didn't work either.

the problem is twofold. a .pls file is JUST a playlist that tries to play...some other type of file. A .pls can be a playlist of nearly any filetype, so if a .pls doesn't que a given playlist it's likely because the file formats aren't supported.
an .nsv file is a Nullsoft Streaming Video format extension. I don't know a thing on Android that can play an .nsv
