I lent this P7510 to a friend who has hard bricked it. Sorted APX driver and installed nvflash. Now getting 'rcm version 0X4' when running 'nvflash --sync' which I guess means the bootloader is locked? Can anyone help me out further with this please?

So, pulled out my old Hurricaine and decided to stick a WM6 rom.
During this I thought the decert had stuck but apparantly it hasnt. Now when flashing with Mitty I get the error that its locked.
Unfortunately Ive already ran the format binsf command so have no os to boot into to unlock it again!
Have I bricked it or is there a way around it?

Quick recap, I tried to install WM6 on a lower than 2.1 IPL/SPl so phone got stuck in boot screen, then i went to download an official WM5 rom from Tmobile, then I went into bootloader and successfully flash the official ROm. After flashing the official rom and multiple hard reset, phone is stuck on the bootscreen with the following info:
IPL 3.08
SPL 3.08.0000
GSM 02.69.21
OS 3.8.2.21
Am confused by the OS version isnt it meant to be 5.XXX because its a WM6.
Please.

Thanks for the reply I have downloaded the rescue kit and i have read the instruction, but the phone is not been connected in the bootloader mode even though i have the Xp usb driver connection. When I connect the usb cable after going into bootloader mode, the pc makes the usb connection sound but when when i run the Romupdate utility i get this error 260 connection error. What can I try again.

I have been able to successfully flash the phone again using the recovery kit but after flashing i took out the battery and powered up the phone, its still stuck at the boot screen with the same message.
IPL 3.08
SPL 3.08.0000
GSM 02.69.21
OS 3.8.2.21.
has it gone beyond the point of no return.?
Okay, am helpless here, Is anyone on here willing to fix this phone for me if I can post to them, and pay postage both ways?

after it failed, my phone only starts in bootloader mode.
i tryed to flash many roms, but phone doesn't start.
only bootloader appears.

I told you in the other thread “YOU BRICKED YOUR PHONE” the warning was clear that you had to remove the hard SPL and you didn’t, so now you have an expensive paper weight.
Sorry to say, nobody has been able to recover from this.
bricked is not pemanent
The only way to truly brick it is if it dont boot at all, if u have red green blue boot loader on u can flash [wizard love rom] worked for me.

You obviously didn’t brick your phone, however lenzen24 did.
lenzen24 has a G4 IPL and a G3 SPL this equals a brick, unless someone can get a G4 SPL back in the phone it can’t be recovered.
To my knowledge nobody has recovered from this.

Yesterday I bricked HD2 trying to install this htc.com/europe/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=839&news_id=485.
Its a TMOBILE-US and I installed hard spl on it as well as a custom rom.
The device wouldn't go to bootloader mode (vol down + restart) it will not start, will not charge, nothing.
I also tried hard resetting with no success.
I did some reading, but everything I found required having access to bootloader mode.
Can I unbrick from this situation? is there some way to flash from the SD WITHOUT having access to bootloader mode.
Please help me rescue my 2 months old baby!

The link you posted i couldnt get to work, however i notice it has europe in it,(plus there are NO tmous compatible roms on eth htc website) meaning a rom for a regular leo, meaning a radio with ..51.. in the version, meaning dead tmous hd2.
Warranty return it, dont mention flashing.
Ouch. I thought HSPL would save me.
Anyway, warranty is currently out of the question since I don't live in the US.

On my HD2 have done everything possible to recover (Task29 - Soft reset - restore original ROM from SD), but now I think it's a hardware or BIOS problem.

I do not understand your problem,
Can you enter the bootloader or not?
If you can enter the bootloader, Which version of (H)SPL is mentioned on the bootloader screen?
If on the other hand you mean you bricked your phone, then there is no possibility other than using JTAG.
Otherwise please specify phone type (T9193, T8585, TMOUS)
(H)SPL version
Which rom you want to flash?
Does your computer see the phone correctly?
Does CustomRUU run completely or does it stop / crash? (Which percntage of CusomRUU was run?
