[Q] How to get ROM image from Android Rockchip RK3066 device?

I have an rooted Android (4.4.2 Ugoos UG802 mini PC) device, mini PC (without screen or buttons) with Rockchip RK3066.
I was trying to create an image of its ROM using ROM manager (on Google Play), but when I tried to backup current ROM, it turned off and then said 'No command' with resting android.
MiniPC doesn't have volume buttons so I was unable to go through this problem.
After that, I tried romdump using tutorial, but although I have many files now, (f.e. boot.img or system.tar) I do not clearly understand what should I do with all those files. My intention is to get update.img which I can flash to other device.
Any help would be appreciated.
P.S.: I would like to add some links, but I cannot do that.

Acer b1 a71 stock rom with scatter file

i bricked my acer b1 a71 trying to install twrp. after flashing it successfully and went to reboot . it just showed ther acer logo then blank screen. i tried going to recovery but was just able to go to the first part where you have three choices sd image update mode flashboot mode and clean boot. i tried all three and just acer logo then blank screen. tried the reset pin on the side but still nothing. i read and study all tutorials there is and it all boils down to having a stock rom. now i"ve searched and searched the entire net and i was able to get two stock roms but i dont know if it is okay or not because when i use the scatter file on sp flash tools it says scatter file error or format error i tried to rename it but till error. i used every version of sp flash tools and still scatter file error. so i dont know if those roms are legit or not. also my laptop is 64 bit. i read somewhere that mtk6577 is not supported by 64 bit. the mtk on the specs of acer is mtk8317t but it is also recognized as mtk6577 and that is also what mtk droid tools showed. can anybody please help me here. i know xda has helped a lot of peole and im hoping that i can be also one of them. thanks a lot in advance.

installing TWRP on a newer MTK 6582 tablet ...

I have a newer 10.1" Chinese tablet, a Jlinksz ZH960 tablet, that I am having a problem trying to see whither or not it has a bootloader or not... I can't use fastboot to load the newest TWRP..., I did use MTK to create a scatter txt file... I guess I'm still too ignorant of the process to open up this thing... Not sure what to do next..?
Any helpers out there for MT65XX processor..?

[SOLVED] Need help to unbrick an Archos 50 Diamond (ac50da)

Hi all,
I recently got my hands on a screen-damaged Archos 50 Diamond (ac50da) running the latest stable stock Android 4.4.4 ROM (I didn't know that an Android 5.1 preview was available here : https://blog.archos.com/fr/lollipop-en-version-beta-sur-le-50-diamond/).
I bricked it by doing the following :
- Trying to install @phhusson TWRP from here : https://twrp.me/archos/archos50diamond.html, without upgrading to 5.1 first (as explained here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ar...ment/twrp-support-thread-archos-twrp-t3468677).
This did not work, as when trying to enter recovery mode by holding VolumeUp while powering up the phone would now bring up a totally green, then totally red screen, but nothing else. No device is detected if I plug it in a computer (either Linux or Windows).
- Booting (not flashing yet) CWM from here : http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum...50-diamond-root-procedure-recovery-cwm-v6051/
For some reason, I ended up rebooting (without installing CWM or anything else). But before rebooting, CWM warned me that my ROM wasn't rooted, and offered to install the su binary in /system/xbin/su. That's were I met my doom, because the device would then no longer boot.
- If I power up the device, the Archos logo shows up, then a black screen. Plugging the device on a Windows computer shows a dozen data drives, and the devices itself identified as QHSUSB_BULK.
- I thought of using QFIL (Qualcomm File Image Loader) to re-image the device : https://androidmtk.com/download-qualcomm-flash-image-loader-qfil
I managed to get my hands on a stock firmware image (prog_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn or validated_emmc_firehose_8936.mbn) by paying here : https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=file-info&id=110067 but QFIL won't flash it as I don't have a driver for QHSUSB_BULK.
- However, I'm unable to find a proper driver for that device. I found several Qualcomm drivers, either for QHSUSB_BULK or the (apparently older) QDLOAD, but none of them include definitions for the Archos 50 Diamond.
- The device's USB identification is the following : USB\VID_05C6&PID_9057&MI_00
VID (Vendor ID) 05C6 = Qualcomm
PID (Product ID) 9057 = ??? (should be the Archos 50 Diamond but is not referenced anywhere)
MI (Master Interface) = ??? (no idea what that means)
- Other findings :
The .mbn files refer to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 MSM8936
Inside the stock image is an android-info.txt file that reads "board=msm8916"
So, can you guys help me out here ?
I think that finding a proper QHSUSB_BULK driver for VID_05C6&PID_9057 should be enough, but I'm open to any suggestion.
Thanks !
I think I found a driver for that device here : https://driverpack.io/fr/hwids/USB\VID_1D9C&PID_9057&MI_04
It's for a "Sonim XP5 HS-USB NMEA 9057", but whatever.
However, after installing the driver (just uncompress it using 7-zip), QFIL fails when trying to download the firmware image with "failed to switch to EDL mode" (EDL = emergency download).
Anyone has a better idea*?
VICTORY !!!
When trying to power off/reboot the device, I noticed that it could still boot in fastboot mode, by holding VolumeUp + power until the screen turns green, then release the buttons before the screen turns red.
I could then boot again in CWM (still unable to flash it though), and re-install a stock ROM from the manufacturer site : https://www.archos.com/us/support/support_tech/downloads.html?type=s&rlist=1&devid=240
Phew ! At last !
And now to try and install the 5.1 beta update…

If you can give me access to one of yours, I'll do it ASAP. I don't have one myself and don't plan to.

Hi,
I have recently bricked my AC70HELLO and tried uncessefully to flash stock firmware (from firmwarefile.com/archos-hello-7 ) but always got STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH (with SP Flash Tools V5.1924 and V5.2020) or STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL (with SP Flash Tools V5.1744) errors (with MTK_AllInOne_DA or DA_PL defaults DA).
Could you please share the Download Agent and the stock firmware from Archos ?
I have asked Archos for it in vain, they respond me "Sorry we don't have any FW available for this device. Thanks for your understanding," which got me a bit mad... I mean if my device's constructor doesn't have its stock firmware then who does ?
Here's the "latest" fimware from Archos http://update.archos.com/AFMv2/downloads/ac70hello_archos/20181101.075911/update.zip
Does anybody happen to have a reliable guides and reliable downloads to flash other firmwares to this Hello 7?
I tried several guides but somehow they are inconsistent, incomplete or simply not working. Some say I need TWRP without a link to a working image, others say I could use fastboot which generates "not allowed in locked state". I found out myself that I could work around that error by running "fastboot oem unlock" but after flashing, my Hello keeps hanging in a boot loop. (also after "fastboot oem lock")
Fortunately with @fraenK 's link, I could revert back to stock.
I have been using the Pixel Experience 10 GSI ROM from Expressluke so far. Other GSI ROMs should work as well. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gsi-expressluke-built-gsis.4003457/

https://www.xda-developers.com/flash-generic-system-image-project-treble-device/ -> how to install a GSI (with fastboot or TWRP)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/aosp-10-0-2019-12-06-quack-phh-treble.3992559/ -> AOSP with or without gapps and stock GSI rom (if I recall correctly before bricking, the Hello 7 needs an arm64 A-only image)
Hello,
If I can help you, I create a zip file with Driver, Firmware and the compatible SP_Flash for this firmware.
I flashed my Hello with success and I don't sure of all step, cause many test before sucess.
Just put WIN10 in "Test Mode" can help
http://dl.free.fr/getfile.pl?file=/Zn8HQVpO
press "Valider et télécharger le fichier"
Now I am in GSI Android and the Hello work perfectly !
I got same problem with Archos hello 10 version where can i find stock rom for this device? @fraenK @buzz-27 maybe you know?

Thanks alot @fraenK downloading now. Anyone got a DA file I can use? Probably will get DA hash mismatch.
Hi everyone,
I bricked my Archos Hello 7 by trying to flash TWRP.
I'm looking to flash my device but it's hard to find informations for this device and nothing works for me.
I tried with SP Flash tool V5.1744 and few drivers versions without results.
I always have STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH or BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL.
Every time I plug my device, the detected USB is the "Mediatek PreLoader USB VCom", do you think it's the good driver ?
@buzz-27 can you (or someone else) upload your file again, the link on Free is dead.
@Dawnowl444 did you solve your flashing problem ?
Thanks guys.

Hi,
My AC70HELLO is still bricked unfortunately. I've got a corrupted logo.bin and no way to flash stock rom except with SP Flash Tool. But I can't get passed STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH error.
I tried this utility without much success...
GitHub - MTK-bypass/bypass_utility
Contribute to MTK-bypass/bypass_utility development by creating an account on GitHub.

It's now easy to bypass MediaTek's SP Flash Tool authentication
A group of developers has created a Python utility to bypass the authentication routine of MediaTek SP Flash Tool. Check it out now!
www.xda-developers.com
With --force I still get STATUS_DA_HASH_MISMATCH and the utility says "Device secure boot: False ; Device serial link authorization: False ; Device download agent authorization: False" wich is weird...
Let me know if you got any more luck with that than me.
If your AC70HELLO is'nt really bricked you can try to flash back stock recovery via fastboot.
Hi Dawnowl444,
Thanks for your tips, I gonna try with bypass_utility but without hope .
Maybe we need to do some hardware tweak to allow to flash the device.
There is here a French tutorial to disassemble the Hello 7. http://rnc.free.fr/hello7/hello7.html
In the firmware I found online, the file Checksum.ini refers to the version 1708 of SP Flash Tool, I tried with itn but without success, maybe it can be successful for you.
Unfortunately, I can't boot into recovery mode, that's why I try to flash with the Flash Tool.
If I succeeded to flash my device I will let you known.
