Hi there,
Few days ago I reboot my watch after an upgrade and the screen won't turned back on. So I try to do a Hard reset, but did not working. Still no display.
Connecting to the PC, try to unlock the bootloader. That works surprisingly well. Then run a stock installation (the one in this form) This also works well. But still nothing to see on the display.
It seams that the internal software works, but the display connectivity is broken.
Can someone help me with this problem? I ran out of ideas.
Well, no science here, time for replacement then

Hello
2 days ago I got a T-mobile MDA from a friend. Only the MDA and a cradle. It had not been used for at least half a year. At first I could not make it work as it did not react to the stylus on the touch screen. But after some resets it slowly came on, and was fairly working (slow sometimes)
As I wanted English SW, I downloaded one and installed. After some time the problem came again, and I decided to switch back. Then it stopped working again.
Sometimes I can get to the calibrating touch screen, but then it stop reacting.
I read about similar problems on this website, but I cannot install the file tpenable.exe until I get into operating system, and can use the touch pad.
I tried with a couple of ROM-versions, but it seems to have no influence. Still, to me it feels like a SW-problem.
Anyone have some suggestions?

Follow up
Here is a follow up on my problem:
I discovered that if I press hard at the lower quater of the touch screen, sometimes it works again. This points more to a HW problem.
I took the MDA apart a couple of times, but could not see anything wrong. Does anybody know how the touch screen technically works?
I noticed in another post about someone with a similar problem. Do anybody know what exactly he was soldering?

Last month, buy a ViewPad 10s. Great device. Thanks to this forum I can install the market and install many things. Until one day, after seeing a movie (Mobo player) I started missing the touch screen. I could not even unlock it!. I turned it off and set aside. The next day started as if nothing had happened. But with the passing of a few days, began to fail often, and not resolved by switching off. Until today that is totally screwed. Not react as it should, and I can not access at all to any of the functions. Here's a short video of what I'm telling you.
(search in youtube "viewpad 10s touch screen problem", the one from chgalvez user)
I've tried calibrate.ini, and almost all .apk calibration apps that are in the forum. I've try as last chance to upgrade with an official rom from viewsonic(1.09), but dont' work neither.
Anyway I think I can't prove anything more as the touchscreen almost no response at all.
Anyone have an idea if there a method to calibrate from the outside, with a USB cable or something?
thanks in advance and sorry for my english...
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
It never worked here (first day I have it) and now I even can't pass lockscreen (with viewcomb and original software I even couldn't select a language to pass the homescreen).
Why can't this be done in recovery?
My screen problems seem to come from my gtab being very sensitive to cold. When it is warm it works great, but when it is cold it is nearly non-responsive.
Had a similar issue. I plugged in a USB mouse and unlocked it and got to my calibration and ran it... It worked like a charm after that.
First time in XDA Developers. Pro-ful name enough to solve my problem.
I bought my GS3 from a guy and its touchscreen and the touch buttons on the bottom weren't working. After I put it to full-charge, it started working (but the bottom touch buttons still didn't work). However, that day I was playing Plague Inc. (seriously), and suddenly it just got stuck there. I felt it heating so much but I turned it off and on. Then the screen just didn't work. I tried firmware upgrade by Kies, Odin download mode with firmware upgrade (both 4.3 which didn't work and 4.4.2 which worked but did nothing to the screen).
Now, some of you will say that it's a hardware defect, but I strongly disagree. Are there any workarounds? I tried the battery stuff, taking out those stickers in the phone and putting them to their places. To no avail, unfortunately.
I also believe it's rooted, but I didn't do it myself.
Take it back to the guy, it's broken.
Hey Guys!
I have a big problem!
2 Weeks ago, the display of my G3 (not rooted, original LG Android) broke and i sent it to repairmyphone.de (I'm from Germany) for repair. Today my G3 came back and the display was fine. So i think they changed the display and repaired my phone.
Sounds good right? Well not exactly, because now there is a problem:
The touchscreen is working fine, but when i lock my phone (With the DoubleKnock or the Button) and turn the display on again, the touchscreen isn't working and i can't unlock the phone.
Only after i pull the battery out and start the phone again, the touchscreen is working fine. But when i lock the phone the same thing happens again. Even when i turn off the lockscreen and turn the display, the touchscreen is not working.
The strange thing is, the KnockOn is recognized so it turns the display on when i double tap it, but nothing is recognized after that.
I did a factory reset but the same problem happens again.
So i don't really know if it's a hardware or software problem is and if any one of you can help me with my problem.
I wrote the repairservice an e-mail but i think it will be read on monday.
So if nothing works i have to send it back again, but maybe you guys have a solution for me.
Thanks in advance!
Hi all, I was a member here for a dozen of years, but cant recover my acc because Iam not using gmail anymore ; )
Back to question: I used z5c because lineage, after windows phones, and all worked fine. Yesterday, I placed phone in my front jeans pocket, had full hands of some bags. Then, I sat in car, took phone out and touch didnt worked. No any physical problem visible. Phone itself looks as before - mint condition. I tried to reboot several times, went into twrp... nothing happened. touch was unresponsive.
I left it turned off for, maybe 6 hours, then I turned phone on and touch worked! But, I noticed that it is very sensitive - really soft touch was enought to perform action. I took soft cloth to clean display and turned only display off. When I turned it on, after few seconds touch stopped working again!
Touch worked fine before, same during this short period of time when worked again. Never noticed any problem with it.
Any idea why this happened and what I can do?
UPDATE:
I left phone turned off and put it on charger. He had 20% bat. I took him at 99% turned on and touch working again!
also, I can bet, I am 100% sure, that yesterday, while using otg mouse, I didnt saw in settings > display > high touch sensitivity option even I tried to find it several times. I thought that option, for gloves is turned on. And now I went again there, and that option is present! Hows that... And it is turned off.
Anyone have idea what to do with touch? Why is that happening?
