Hello everybody. I wanna ask: Does anybody know the way to get the exact camera sensor name without root? I own Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and it has been shipped with 3 different sensors: from Sony, Samsung and Omnivision. I know how to get it with root (acutally I am rooted), but I'm looking for a way to do it without root access. I was thinking of using adb, but didn't find any useful info on the web. Is anybody able to help? Cheers

Hi, I recently received a Galaxy Note from China Mobile. There was a big mess when I tried to put n7000 software on it, as it is a GT-i9228, but I fixed all of that and returned it to factory settings. My question is, how do I root this? I've tried googling the solution many times, but I can't find a reliable way to root an i9228.

So i have AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Lolipop! And as some of you know , we still havent got perm-root available in our devices. So i have read before ,in order to disable "DVFS" you have to have root.
Is there anyway to Disable "DVFS" without root on lolipop?

hey all
so I have been trying for the past week to root my alcatel A2 XL dual sim but cant seem to be able to do it.
upon checking the model number 8050D there are threads referencing this model number but they come up as a pixi 4 and this is the dual sim A2 XL
basically I wanted to root and if possible flash a custom rom to upgrade it to marshmallow for various reasons ( I have a smart home so I need google assistant and microphone on on lock screen. as well as general marshmallow features like expandable memory which is only for 6.0 and up)
I cant seem to be able to root this damn phone though and cant find guides for my version of handset
I was hoping maybe someone here could point me in the right direction or maybe has one of these rooted and running marshmallow

I've also just got this phone and have bee struggling to get root access.
What i know so far is that this phone while most googling suggests a Pixie4(6) this is not the workings of this phone
It has a MediaTek MT6580 CPU
I'm still looking for a valid MTP driver for the phone in USB debug mode

I know this phone must be rootable. I have tried some one-click root tools, no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction: do I need to root this phone to install GApps? I think I must install TWRP and SuperSU. Does any one know if root access is blocked? Its a nice compact phone, but I need Google and Chrome to make it all tick. Thanks!

I've been online searching endlessly! The company hasn't even given us a firmware for it.....
Everything is possible to root. Just have to wait for the right guys to get their hands on one. I've found 1 link in here that lets you install a Google alternative to play, but it's still hard to use the phone normally with a Google account. I love the phone, but the company maybe one that is not good with support...

I am thinking to buy the 5G version of the Flip but wanted to know if you guys were able to root it? The specific model I'm looking into is SM-F707U1. Or if you have this version, would you please let me know if it gives you the option to enable OEM unlock in the developer settings ?

i have an SM-F707B.
i have no root, but i think it would be not hard to do it (when I will convince myself to do it, i will do something similar to root s20 ultra or similar Samsung smartphone).
i have oem unlock option in development menu.
