Hi there guyz...
I have a galaxy a71 that I am working with and I want to add some mods to my phone like 60fps video recording but for doing them I need to root my phone to get root access and edit the files but I don't want to root my phone and I want to do this things with my laptop using ADB.
is it possible????
Also any of you guys have any kind of experience with modding phones?
please help me...
Thanks
Accessing Android's system files requires Android is rooted. Point.

Hello,
I have a Prestigio MultiPad 9.7 PRO tablet that I got for free. The device itself is not bad, but it could do so much more if it had root access. The tablet is not so popular, so there aren't any tutorials on the web. That is why I'm asking for help here.
The device is getting updates via the OTA Service app. It downloads a system.img file onto the SD card, and then it asks me if I want to install it. Now, I'm asking is there some way to "inject" SU and BusyBox into the IMG file, and then install it.
Any help will be grateful.
Hi!
I rooted this tablet with a modified rom, you can find it here
(http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17482271/PMP5097CPRO_V1.0.3_20120418.rar)
But it is "only" version 1.03 which is rooted but t works flawlessly. Decomress the .zip file and rename the file to "update.img" and put it directly on your internal sd card of the tablet and restart it. It will ask for an update. You will get a rooted rom v1.03 without loosing any data. When you update to the latest firmware you will loose root. Tried by myself. I also tried to modify v.1.06 and to implement Superuser & Co but without success. I am a totally noob in linux .

hello guys.iam looking for someone who can help me and knowledgable in rooting.i am running android 2.3 and cant find a tut on how to root my device.i have cloudfone excite 350i.this is a local smartfone from
phil.you might not know this but i just want to ask if rooting is just simmilarwith all device as long as iam running android 2.3.tnx guys.
A very generic way of rooting android phone is to get temporary root access using some kernel hacks which should work on most phones. For android 2.3 can try apps like visionary or bin4ary for this.
Once you have temporary root access, remount the system folder (depends on your phone) and push the superuser binary and apk to your phone system partition. Next reboot should provide you root access on your phone.
Hello xda community, warm regards from your latest noob
I would like someone to help me do a temporary root on my indomitable 2degrees C8660 gingerbread (has resisted the super one click, framaroot, universal gingerbread root, etc) and then possibly show me how to add files to my system directory. ( I read a post about someone using abd with a stock kernel in which ro.debuggable is set to 1 to allow them to add files to their system directory, maybe i can do this?).
The reason why is because I'm trying to play plants vs zombies on my first amazing yet somewhat inadequate smartphone and I have read that by adding SisoDrmProvider.apk to the system/apps folder, I may be able to stop it crashing to the desktop after the hourglass appears.
I have also contacted fonefix but they tell me a root solution isn't going to happen.
Thanks for having a read,
Okay so I was told to come here because my phone doesn't have its' own forum yet (Not at all surprising..), so I'm just going to quote my post back on the other thread that told me to come here instead.

Okay so I've had this phone for little over 10 months now and within that time I've managed to achieve root (unreliable but it works at the very least) in that time as well as learned a fair amount about Linux and android alike (Not a whole lot but I know some stuff) though I've now come to the point of I actually want to give my phone a proper root instead of this faulty solution I have currently. I (barely) managed to get my phone rooted using Kingoroot and I've played plenty with my phones' innards in that time, removed system apps, added my own selection to the system but some apps in my phone that use root don't work even with root permission granted which is why I'm wanting to replace Kingoroot with ChainFires' SuperSU binaries, could anybody help me with simple instructions for someone who doesn't actually know very much regarding how root and SU bins work inside of android? My phone's using 4.4.2 kitkat.
Just a few disclaimers first to get misconceptions out the way:
1. I do not have a custom recovery nor is one available for my phone (Samsung galaxy young 2 (SM-S130H) for those who want to know)
2. I'm currently unable to use the internet on my phone as I lack Wi-Fi to do so (router is dead) so I'm manually installing app packages through ADB, so if something needs an internet connection on my phone it's not going to work for me, for now..PC still has net access.
3. I have access to ADB shells' SU but not ADB root so I hope you don't need that from me.
4. This phone does not have a fastboot mode. (That I can find anyway..) Only a download mode from what I've found.
Can anybody help me out with telling me what I'll need to be doing in regards to getting this done?

So, can anyone here knowledge on the matter can assist me with this instead of me having to figure it out on my own?
