i just recently tried to do a update via the Verizon upgrade assistance on my lg v60. Everything looked great and looked like it finished but the phone never became responsive again? now its just black screen and the phone vibrates every minute for 2 seconds. Im not sure what happened. The phone had ample charge, did this assistant brick my new phone?
I was applying software update 3 i believe.
i can plug the cord in and it vibrates for a second then nothing for another minute and it will vibrate. upgrade assistant cant see it anymore so cant repair. The assistant had said that there was another update to do before it finished and stopped working. I've tired doing all the button combo's, cords and charges. I'm just blown away that this happening. I just got this phone.
Any help would be awesome!!

Hey there guys just came from the Samsung Captivate and ended up here with Moto Droid Razr. The problem the first phone I got reboots on it's own and I had to end up manually turning it back on, this happened a least 3 times before I returned it. The replacement phone was complete stock nothing was flashed like the first one. This second one worked for a day no reboots but on the second day I picked it up thought it had entered stand by, pushed the standby power button nothing. The phone shut down completely and no matter what I tried I didn't get it to turn on including the Volume down and power button. Plugged the phone into the charger nothing, plugged it into the computer via USB nothing but a white LED light turned on. Pushed the power button and volume down, up both buttons nothing worked. Did anyone else encounter these problems or am I just this lucky getting two phones completely different in defects? I hope the third one works because this is starting to really question the reliability of this phone.

I've had my phone for a month now, and haven't had an auto re-boot yet.....
Sounds like you just got unlucky, as the people I've talked to that have this phone, have been great with reliability. That's very odd that you're having this issue.
Now, I am on Verizon, so the units I've seen are all the XT912 units, and the Roger's one is an XT910. I've been reading more and more about the XT910's seeming to have more issues, at least that's the impression I get from the online community.
You're probably right that the XT910 has more issues, it's also only 4G version from what I can see through Rogers. I think the Xt912 is the LTE version of the phone, I wish we had that phone instead. Rogers is rolling out LTE in Canada and I would of thought they would carry the XT912 instead. Well who knows mayber Rogers has something else in store like the newer version the Maxx. Like I told the CSR if the third phone is the same I have no choice but to exchange it for some other device maybe the Samsung S II LTE. I mean that phone only has a 800X400 AMOLED screen so low res compared to the Razr. I'm not sure why Rogers still don't carry the Nexus but again Bell here likes to have the exclusive rights to new phones much like what other US carriers like to do. Oh well we'll have to see my phone arrives today and I'll give it another shot.
So I've had Razr Maxx and it's been rooted for like 6 or 8 months. Yesterday received a call and when I hit End to end the call, the phone shut down and would not boot again. Plug in charger, the battery symbol showed ? and that was it.
Verizon sent me a new one today and it's loading just fine but now I have to root and the bad is the tether does not work. So apparently if you get a new phone you don't get free tether any longer.....
I have just experienced a similar problem.
While texting my new number to some contacts on my list, I received a call. I accepted it and when the call was ended, even before I could press anything, the phone just froze dead.
I have tried holding the power button to get it to shut down so I might try rebooting it, but no reaction at all.
Phone was 20 hours old. :crying:
I rooted it yesterday and installed the BootMenuManager from whirleyes, but still had the original ICS the phone was delivered with running.
edit:
Update: Strange: after 4 hours the force turn off (hold menu button + vol up/down) suddenly worked and phone booted up just fine.
Don't know what to make of this but I'm glad.
I wish my luck had gone your way... Phone numbers/address/pics/ and the like aren't a biggie as I had them backed up.... What sucked was the months and months of playing Sentinel 3 and I had every single level beat other than Hard and Insane on the last level....
And having it just the way I wanted as far as looks went without a rom or theme....
I received an OTA update and during the update process (or after, I was really paying attention to the screen), the phone turned off and won't turn back on. There's no indication of it turning on nor any indication it's alive. It was plugged during the process so it couldn't have died in the middle of it.
I tried searching up ways to fixing the issue but "fixes" don't work like holding the power button + down volume for 3 minutes didn't work. I also tried contacting Motorola and they couldn't really help either. I had the bootloader unlocked but there's no way it could have caused this big of an issue, right?
Anyway, anyone know of a way to fix this problem? I miss the battery life on this thing. I believe the model number is an X1527 (Canada, Wind Mobile ver)

I am not sure if I should be concerned, but this has now happened twice. Sometimes I let the phone slow charge from my desktop PC. This morning, after turning the phone off last night, it would not power on. It was connected to the desktop when I shut it off last night. This morning, with the phone still connected to the USB port, I turn on the V10 and nothing! To get it to power on, I had to hold the power and volume down button for about 15 to 20 seconds. I have been connecting it to my PC and my work laptop since I bought it last May. I did not have the problem until the latest update that was just pushed to the phone. Has anybody else had this problem?
Mine has started doing the something, it shut off for 2 days with boot loop issues, just came back on after i brought a new phone.
Having the boot loop issue here. Verizon just told me in chat that the latest update is known to be causing boot loop issues. Maybe it's possible it also stops these phones from turning on at times. I'm hoping to get mine to start up before having to send it back to Verizon or LG.
I have most recent software. I turn the thing off and on constantly. Mostly by switching batteries. Hopefully this doesn't happen to me. As it is, I most likely WON'T be buying LG again.

Today, my mother was running the latest update for her Moto Z Droid. After a couple minutes, the display went off, and the phone was dead. Won't go to logo, won't power on, NOTHING.
She said the battery was at around 40-50% battery during the update, and I've tried plugging it into a power supply, and also tried plugging into a computer, and NOTHING is happening.
Is there a way to get the phone back working? Thank you for your help!
I had this problem too just today and yes my battery was 40% and yes the screen went blank and no response for 2min. But i did not plug into charging nor PC. I long pressed the power button after 2mins and it took a while to power up and continue the update. I'm sorry to say but it is advisable NOT to plug in anything during update. Maybe you should bring in to Verizon.
Sort of related, sort of not... I got the Moto update today (UK sim free Z) and I thought it had stuck too. Just kept rotating between blue & lenovo screen for ages, then black, just as I was getting nervous it continued and finished with all OK. I had plugged it in BEFORE it started, as that's what the message said to do.
It said something about notification update but I can't see any difference?? I was hoping for 4 volume controls like every other mobile on the market (?) but no
Does anybody know what actually got changed?
