GTR 2 charge solution without factory cable? - Amazfit

Hi everybody,
Started my vacation a few days ago only to realize my GTR 2 charge cable was left back home, right when I needed it the most as I plan on several activities in the coming weeks. The places where I'm at currently and going to be are tough to get a new cable and so I'm left at a dead end.
Would ruining an ordinary USB cable on one end do the trick? I got a few quick chargers with me at least.
I also have a GTS watch and its GTS factory charging cable but that one has never managed to charge my GTR2 for some reason, despite the fact the magnets hook correctly on the watch, which makes me question the success of destroying another ordinary USB cable to try charging my watch.
Ideas?

[Q] Charges at a certain angle.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 5.0, and lately it won't charge naturally (it doesn't charge when you just plug the USB cable to the port and to the wall), but you need to charge it a certain angle (eg move it until you hear the charging sound but afterwards it won't charge when you remove it!)
I have the original Samsung adapter that came with the SGP Box, but I replaced the original USB cable with another one because of the charge-at-a-certain-angle problem. I changed my USB cable thrice now, but the problem persists.
The weird thing is, it charges perfectly on a BLACKBERRY CHARGER. Although the problem is still there when I charge it with the BB charger, it never got to the point where I had to apply so much pressure on my tablet.
I just want to know what is causing this problem and a solution. I can't always use the BB charger since my sister brings it with her to school everyday. -_-
I had the same problem with my Galaxy SI. I was forced to place a book directly under the usb cable so that the phone sloped downwards. I had different luck with different usp cables. My girlfriends usb cable -that was relatively new worked fine as it sat quite snuggly/tight. Others, new or old, that did not sit as tight did not work.
Take you phone to a PC hardware store and test a few.
Hopefully you will find that it is the usb cable that is worn and not the inside of the phone.
Thanks, I'll try that out!

Usb port not charging anymore!

After of few months with medium usage, micro usb port, does not charging anymore. Charger is ok confirmed with my phone, but the port seems not fit corect with green light on. I tried to keep it steady many ways but only once succeed to charge my tablet one week ago. I keep it all night long many times but nothing happened. Anyone with the same problem and possible fix?

I had a similar issue, where the port just didn't work at all. The MicroUSB port (like the others) is rather fragile and can stop working through normal use. If you're still under warranty, I'd contact your seller/Archos for a repair/replacement. Failing that it probably a job for a repair shop or time to open up your tablet and have a look yourself (if you're that way inclined).
I've had two USB charging ports fail since I bought my 101 G9 last April, each time the tablet was replaced with a new unit from Archos, the last time being in January. This time the charger failed after just one week! I'm still waiting for Archos to get back to me on this and am using an old HTC HD2 charger which charges without the "slow charge" issue.
It's down to poor quality components from Archos, I've not had problems with the micro USB charging ports on my past four phones (2 x Samsung, 2 x HTC) and these get far more use than the Archos ever has done.
I think your only solution is a warranty return. God luck with that!

[Q] My S3 is not charging

Like a week ago my S3 9300 was taking longer and longer to charge now it won't charge at all, now is always stuck at 0% if i turn it off it will charge but very very slowly, i don't know if it's the phone or the battery maybe someone here had the same problem and could help me out a little, btw i have it with CM 10.1 thank you
Alejo
Had the same exact problem with my i9300, got it out of warranty repairs yesterday. Was using a custom rom, but the same thing happened when I finally managed to flash it back to stock (had to manually press the microusb-cable as hard as I could into the phone all the time in order to get the phone recognized while Odin was working, was the longest flash ever lol..).
Remember reading about cold solder joints etc before sending it off, so if your phone is out of warranty for some reason you could replace the charging port yourself. Replacement part costs ~5$ (eBay) and if you got the skills it shouldn't be too hard to replace.
EDIT: Actually mine didn't even charge when power off, so I was pretty certain it was a bad solder joint or some other physical problem.. Have you tried cleaning the usb port with pressured air or just blowing into the port? Could be some pins of the usb port blocked with debris. Also check your usb cables, there are those with 5 pins and those with only 4. Saw the difference in charging speed while the thing was still working.

Well actually when i plug the phone into the PC it will recognize it and i can access the files in the SD card and Internal Memory and everything at the moment it's turned off and it's charging.
I have the problem that the phone only want to charge with soms chargers.
I can connect the phone to the original charger or to a pc or any device without problems, the phone will charge.
Even with an old blackberry charger (only 2 wires, no data) and car charger can i charge without any problem!
But when i connect the phone to the htc charger of my old phone, or to an iphone charger i see the phone is connected but it won't charge.
When i open batterymonitor i see that the charger is connected, but the phone still use his battery.
I tried this with all kinds of charders and all kinds of micro usb cables. Then i thaught there was maybe a resistor or chip or something build in some chargers, because i couls only charge with chargers with 2 wire cables.
Then i took a usb extension cable and i disconnected the two data wires so only the + and - 5V cables were left,
but still no success. If anybody knows where the problem is, please let my know
with kind regards! Martijn

S3 Charging Problem

Hi all, I bought my S3 9 months ago. First 4-5 months, everything was okey. Then I started using Custom Roms and unfortunately usual charging problem started to occur. I changed my cable first and for 2 week new cable worked. Then it started not charging too. I bought a new one. That worked for 2 weeks too. Then a new one... I'm fed up with this. I don't wanna pay any more for charger so what's the solution? I resetted rom counter and returned back to stock rom but no it didn't work. So if you can help me in a way, I'll appreciate it. Thanks
do you charge the GS3 from an USB port or from the power supply (travel charger)?
i have a few ideas, so you can try if you want.
1.- If charging from USB port of PC, make sure if this port dont have a short circuit or is damaged, USB ports from PC's can damage devices in some cases.
2.- if charging from the travel charger, (that thing like an ice cube) ... switch the charger with a friend who also have an gs3 and try for a few days to see if the charger is the problem or not.
3.- Do you warranty valid , could be problem of the micro usb port in the device.
Hope i have helped a little.:fingers-crossed: good luck!
I'd say most likely reason for the problem is your phone USB connector. It could be a bit worn and new cable works for two weeks until the cable plug wears itself out too. Having the combination charge won't work.
While your phone is un rooted, return it for warranty.

Help with Xperia Z2 USB connector

Hello, first of all apologize for my English.
My Xperia Z2 has problems with the USB connector, I know you have some reports of this, but I think I have not found any solution yet. He is almost 3 years old, I think it is normal to present problems, but I still do not want to change my cell phone.
I am having serious problems trying to connect it with the charger via usb, I have to wrap the cable around the device, pull to see if I find a way to connect it, when it connects and starts charging, after a while it starts to hurt Contact again.
When I bought the phone, I used a magnetic charger, but because it was not original cables, it went wrong and I decided to use it for the same cable. I saw that some problems occur because of connecting the magnetic to the opposite, but it has almost 2 years that I do not use and the cell phone always charged normally.
Any solution?
Hey,
I started to have the same issue until it stopped altogether. I had to disassemble my phone last week to fit a replacement LCD and digitizer, and noted that my USB connector had actually snapped off from the logic board!
~TL/DR~ The simple solution is to make use of the magnetic charger. You can get the official charging dock or cables. Both are cheap enough, easy to use and charge the device rapidly.
