My friend gived me Wizard (G4):
IPL 2.22.0001
SPL 2.22.0001
GSM 01.04.10
OS 2.22.1.1
for changing extended rom for his provider. But it's very strange because when I go to \extended_rom using total commander I see only files and catalogs where names are like $#^@&$$%^ and there is no possibility to delete them. So I'm thinking about flashing extended rom area with extended rom prepared by me. Here is the question (Wizard has CID locked): my solution will work?

I have Qtek 9100 with IPL 1.01 and SPL 2.20.0001. When I switch on divice, it displeyed color screen and nothing more. I flash it whit many ROM's but IPL/SPL always is the same and did't work normal. How can I resolve the problem. Thanks!
Only with a JTAG device. It's a special device that can access the chips without the need for the phone to be working. But nobody knows which are the JTAG pins so no luck here.
The IPL 1.xx is meant for the G3 DOC chip Wizards and G4 all have IPL/SPL starting at 2.xx.xxxxx. Since IPL is the firt bootloader with information and addresses for SPL and since they don't match you'll never get out of that situation...

Try..
(1) put the phone in bootloader mode
(2) flash it with cingular 1.x radio (search for it)
you should get a normal device in the end

You should
1) Flash only IPL/SPL from g4 (f.e. 2.26.0001) to get your SPL/IPL the same with italian RUU 2.5.2
2) Flash ROM without IPL/SPL italian RUU 2.5.2

does anyone know whether my device is equivelent to G3 or G4?? or its completely diff technology that cannot be compared!!!
I know O2 Atom is by Quanta and it uses CPLD (Complex programmble Logic Design!! I hope i remember this right).
this can't be compared at all, totally different technology. there is a whole separate section for the atom. just go to the forum root page and look for the atom.

I have one MSPV M3100 and i upgrate this to WM6 Xda-Live 0.20.1 ROM. This rom woek perfectly but my telephone run very bad.
Y have this version:
ROM: WM6 Xda-Live 0.20.1
Radio ROM: 1.16.0.0
Bootloader: SPL 1.06
I want upgrade my Radio Rom to 1.27 version, but not it with himself. I have tried 4 times, and always the same error. ERROR 114= Upgrade error.
I have followed these instructions:
Upgrade instructions
1. Extract the contents of the compressed file you've just downloaded
2.Run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
Description for Radio 1.11 shows ver 0.70, but don't worry about it, it is really 1.11
3. The Hermes screen will turn white and show "Upgrade Radio Stack Please wait........."
4. If you get a "ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR", do not disconnect the device, run MaUpgradeUt_noID again.
5. The upgrading process will start and MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe will end up saying "ERROR 114: Upgrade Error", but the radio ROM will be flashed anyway, don't worry about that error!
6. Soft reset with stylus (Device will not be hard reset and no data will be lost)

I have the Oliman 1.10 and ipl is 1.01. Search for hard spl and you will have it all.

Before you flash the radio it is a good idea to use Hard-SPL so if the flash goes wrong the phone can be recovered.

@merodio How is it that you live in the USA, but have a CANADIAN cell provider (Fido), and also can't speak/write English (again, since you live in the USA)???
EDIT: Apparently the fido icon comes up when you select "Albania - Albanian Mobile Comms" as your provider.. Which is ALSO a non-sensical choice if you're in the USA....
You need to be superCID to run the RUU you're trying to use. Use one that uses SSPL.

Hey Meodio_99, sorry but you are a classical case of someone who is going to end up with a bricked (dead) phone. You have a disadvantage as your English does not appear to be very good but you need to both read AND understand otherwise sooner or later you will end up with a bricked phone.
I suggest you read all the WIKI sections talking about upgrading and also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286755
It might take you an hour or so but it might also prevent you from crying yourself to sleep at night because you killed your Hermes!
Hey, i recently purchased a HTC Prophet (branded SPV M600 from orange) from a friend.
Since then i managed to get a WM6.1 rom on (shadow 2 i think)
Anyway, back when i did this, i found it very hard.
My prophet is not hardspl'd and i've having trouble changing the rom.
In my effort to change it, i 'bricked' it, however recovered it using one of those WM5 roms.
So my details:
IPL 2.20.0001
SPL 2.10.0001
GSM 02.07.20
Currently i'm running a WM5 rom, however i have managed a WM6.1 rom before, but cannot seem to do it again, whenever i get it installed it just boots to the bootloader.
When trying to HardSPL it just gives generic cannot connect errors.
I've used Prophet Tools aswell as manual guides but to no avail.
Am i doing something wrong?
And btw i'm using WinXP

Hey, turns out i wasn't following instructions properly - probably due to my tiredness!
I wasn't pressing the camera button on white screen... DOH!
Problem now solved and running 'Vista Clean'

hi I am a new consumer and I have an orange spv m3100.. you excuse my English but I am Italian..
my problem is that this telephone always shows no gsm and there is no way to resolve it. if I try to put a radio it jams to the 0% I don't have guarantee the only possible thing it is flashiarlo it is the part of the operating system...

Try to flash the Shipped rom - the rom it originally came with. You can also try just the radio rom (I'd try after the shipped rom though). If these 2 things don't work then it is because the radio rom area of memory has been corrupted... Long story short, flash an os only rom on and you have a PDA you can use but you wont EVER be able to use as a phone again.... Sorry...
Make sure you have Hard SPL installed first as flashing the radio rom is the riskiest thing to do, & if you want any chance of recovery, you should have this installed...

My dear ol' Qtek is Stuck in bootloader screen (tri-color) after a flash gone bad.
From what I can gather in the forums (and wiki) I need the vendor ROM to put it back on it's feet again.
Today the Boot reads.
IPL 2.10
SPL 2020.0001
I have tried the NVID ROM, it runs (with the progressbad going red a few times on the phone) once it's done the phone resumes the taunting boot-screen with the same information as above.
I have tried the G4 SPL update and the updated passes with no errors, and the Qtek boots in an ALL GREEN screen with the same IPL.SPL as above.
I know the original OS was Swedish, but I cannot find one anywhere.
What are the alternatives from here?? Thankful for any help I can get.
