i began to upgrade with dcds 2.40 olipro hard spl and after the initial loading was instructed to disconnect device, after reconnting device i ran the rest of the programs rom and such and now i'm left with the 2.40 olipro screen will not reboot. i have tried hard reset and soft reset and even power camera and soft reset keys, nothing has worked yet. please hlep me figure this out and whether or not my device is bricked? also i'm runnig on the alltel network if it helps.

You're probably just fine--95% probability--Just go ahead and flash the radio, then flash the rom, and then see what you get.

I made so many search in the forum to solve my problem,but it doesnt work.
I have Imate JamIN, I did so many upgrades, and it works with me.
The SPL is 2.G4.4PDA (Hard SPL)
I installed The RUU and upgrade to transformer 1.1, it use to be fine with me before, but now when i reset or hard reset the phone, the screen is blocked on Loading OS with windows vista Background. IS it because of the Hard SPL?
When i do reset, The screen fade to white and then it will reset, I dont know the problem
So now when i want to run The RUU again, an error 260 that am not connecting the cell to pc....
i wish it was the 3 colors, it wont be a problem
Is my Phone is dead?can i recover?how?

Have you tried entering bootloader? Start up the device, hold the Comm Button and soft reset. That should get you to the bootloader screen at which you should be able to flash a ROM.

hi everyone, can someone please tell me what i did wrong.
I have flashed a few roms before and this time every time i start the 8125 it gets stuck cingular raising the bar screen.
The phone will still do hard reset.

I tried to do upgrade it to the the TNT 19199 professional wizard v.2. I used the shell tool and dropped the nk.nbf file into the shell folder like i have always done before and this time its stuck at the same screen. I can't connect it to active sync or even the computer to put back the stock cingular rom back in. Can someone please tell me what im doing wrong, from what i understand the phone is not bricked yet because i can still do a hard reset but still sends me back to the main startup screen. Help please.
Stock ROM can be flashed from Bootloader mode, just put your Wizard into bootloader mode (Camera+reset), then run the stock ROM RUU.

You should HardSPL, then use RUU on ROMs without IPL directly.
My first attempt to upgrade to AP4 did not succeed unfortunately (SPL to 3.50 upgrade went OK though), my power light stayed green and the display wouldn't come on.
So I took the Athena into bootloader and re-flashed back to AP3.
All seemed fine, the "Tap the screen to set up your device" screen appeared, I set it up and let the customization program run.
Unfortunately after the automatic reset at the end of the customization program, the device returned to the "Tap the screen to set up your device" and the customization program started again...
I tried interrupting the customization by soft resetting before it started executing itself, soft resetted during customization, let customization finish again (and again), but the device seems to be in an endless loop....
Any suggestions/help?

this happen because the spl and the kernel, AKA nk.exe, do not match. not sure what to do except try the new ap3 the cmonex posted **not sure if you tried that**

I have this problem of the "looping" with the customizations. My problem is that I can't get the device to a state where it is "talking" to activesync and from what I see, I need that to push this ap3spl new file.
When you say "just flash it with normal RUU" can you tell me what that means please? (sorry, noob here...) I've spent hours on the forums, wiki etc and I'm a bit lost.
I'm "trying" to get AP4 w/WM6.1 onto the device.
Purchased unlocked (new) and used on AT&T for 6 months.
Went to update the radio to 1.57 and used the unlocker first. (took out SIM/SD first of course).
Got past step one and then got a black screen on reboot...
I got AP3 to load but now I get this fun looping.. Setup device, load customizations, reboot, and start over.
Sounds like this file in this thread is my fix to at least get AP3 working but not sure how to apply. Can I do it from the bootloader?

Well, I guess I'm "Almost" back up and running.
Since step three never got kicked off, it looks like my GPS rom/radio never was rewritten back to the device.
Any help on how to get just the GPS portion back?

radio version 1.58.00 no problem. After flashing AP4 I am in a cycle where my initial boot screen has black and white lines at the top and black at the bottom
Then get the Windows Mobile 6.1 screen and after automatic customizing the
PDA resets itself. I have tried to flash the AP3newspl file but it cant communicate successfully with the synced PDA. Any help?

get into bootloader by pressing camera+reset and check your spl

My IPL v1.00 and SPL v1.20. Olipro and Radio 1.58
I have transferred enblerapi.cab to PDA and run it each time but when I flash
AP4 ROM or AP3newspl ROM I get an endless loop and my SPL stays v1.20
I cant seem to get a flash of SPL3.5 which I suspect is the problem.
Am I missing something?

Please help me, as its very urgent. I have been upgrading to various ROM's every now and then. Recently I did a blunder, as While upgrading with One of the ROM (Black Majik) i selected SPL 2.10 instead of Force SSPL and while upgrading USB Connection get lost.
Now I am only getting the Splash Screen showing HTC, when i Hard Reset my phone I do not get IPL and SPL version displayed and it takes my to the Splash Screen again.
Please help me in finding a way i can recover my phone.

Try a hard reset...
If that doesn't work and you have Hard SPL on your phone upgrade using the sd card method.
As for your IPL and SPL, what do you see when you go to bootloader? That shows your IPL & SPL. To get to bootloader press power, OK button next to flywheel and soft reset with stylus. Hold all three buttons until you get to tri-colour screen. That will tell you what IPL & Spl you have.

Thanx for help. I could get my IPL and SPL info. But still i am not been able to get any rom installed on my device as it get stuck on that tri-color screen and rom up gradation wizards comes with different rom looks for activesync connection with the device. I am not been able to boot my device so that i can upgrade it to specific rom. Is there any way i can install a ROM without having active sync connection with the device...

IF you have flashed Hard SPL on your phone you have a good Chance...
If you haven't and its under warranty you might be able to get them to fix for you.
Assuming you have Hard SPLed your phone, try the sd card method - format up to 2gb sd card fat32. copy the .nbh file from the rom upgrade to the sd card.Rename the .nbh file to "hermimg.nbh". Reset phone. As you keep going into bootloader you wont have to manually do that. It should recognize the os flash and prompt you to hit the power button to proceed...
PLEASE NOTE - THIS WILL ONLY WORK IF YOUR SPL IS 2.10 OLIPRO...
Hope you upgraded your SPL cos you will only have a paper weight otherwise..

So I recently bought an HTC Hermes, and am trying to upgrade it to WM6. Unfortunately, the upgrade just completes instantaneously. Am I doing something wrong?
Hold in power, OK button above the flywheel and reset with stylus. Hold all buttons in until you get to the tri-colour screen (bootloader), reset with stylus to get out. It should say for your SPL, if you upgraded to Hard SPL V7 (which is the suggested version),
SPL : 2.10 oli .
If it doesn't, or says a lower version like 1.40 then, if I were you, download Hard SPL V7 and reflash.
The SPL upgrade should only take a second or 2, very quick, its the rom flashes that take about 5 mins and up to 1/2 hour if its a stock rom with the radio.
So no need to worry. Just check in bootloader.
