OK so I got excited and updated to the new VZW rom. Everything runs OK except MSVC wont read any notifications. Also I don't get any sound that I just got a sms. All my sounds for everything else works fine, I have checked the sound settings under settings and also under MSVC messaging. Nothing works, just all silent.
Phone rings OK and I get the MSVC announcement.
I unchecked 'announce only high priority' and 'only during free time' too
Any suggestions?

hello guys.I have a minor problem with all the WM6 Roms.I use the settings i used with WM5,but i can't recieve any mms... I have no problem sending... It seems that my phone can't recieve the mms "alert" from the network carrier, and download the message.I tried to sync manually(using send/recieve) but i get a sync error.... I am currently using PDAViet 4.0.0.0.3a.... Any ideas or solutions, will be very-very helpfull....
Send/receive has nothing to do with MMS/SMS, unless you've got some strange settings set that queues the MMSs until you press that Send/recieve. Even with my fully working MMS under WM6 I get a Sync error if I press it.
Just manually configure everything (again) and it should work. Didn't work for me, however, until I found a few provider MMS .cab files. I ran two of them and I could suddenly recieve MMSs. I am using trueneytrals WM60 and T-Mobile.

After numerous attempts to get MMS working under the xda and tnt wm6 roms, I had to revert to an official wm5 rom to get it working.
As upto now I haven't a clue of the cause of this.
The only one I could come up with is the fact that the wm6 roms contain mms composer 3.5 instead of 3.0 (arcsoft)
When I upgrade to Pdaviet 4.0.0.0.3a, after I manually configured the MMS settings, I also thought that there was a problem with that rom. I could receive but not send, always hang in 97%.
A few days ago I updated to the new rom, 4.0.0.0.5, and it was even worst. But after I reviewed the settings, now I have no problem in receiving or sending MMSs. My fault on this one.

How did you solve your problem?
I'm on 4.0.0.0.5 and I can't send or receive MMS on TMN and I'm pretty sure everything is well configured.
TIA
Edit:
I sorted it out, just created manualy the connection with the right settings...
I am having issued with AP4, it will play a ringtone fine and then 2 minutes later it says it is corrupted, i reset the device and the try gain and the ringtone works fine.. the ringtone issue resetting to the default is annoying especially when no ringtone plays at all. sometimes it plays and sometimes it doesnt. when it doesnt and i try to change it it says ringtone corrupt.. do you think its some kind of audio codec or what?
any fix for this yet.. pawell please?? i am missing many many calls.
I am having the exact same problem. I have noticed in AP4 and AP5 beta. I haven't figured out yet what is causing. Have you had any luck?

Soft reset not required
When the phone's ring tone isn't working, if I go into the Phone and then choose options or go to Settings and choose Phone, and try to play the ring tone the "This ring tone file is corrupted or unavailable." error appears. A soft reset does fix this, until it gets screwed up again.
If I go to Settings and choose Notifications then click play on the ring tone it plays. If I go back to the phone settings it plays there too.
Problem still exists - why does this happen - but at least a soft reset isn't needed.

One incoming call - then it stops working
Been doing some more testing. One incoming call seems to put you into the "corrupt" state.
If you disable the phone skin with RealVGA the problem seems to go away. So, is it the manila dialer that's causing the problem? I've got AP4 with the Manila Dialer installed. Disabling it - with RealVGA - seems to make the ring tone problem go away.

I thought it was the manilla dialer as well, but I've been having the same thing on the normal skin.
Try using schaps advanced config to disable the phone dialer. It worked for me
I've been using AP4 w/RealVGA and have never had this problem. However, my wife encountered a similar problem with her Tilt, after trying out Ringo and then letting the trial period expire. Uninstalling Ringo solved the problem.
Have any of you installed any ring-management software?

nope I have been contemplating installing my copy of photo contacts pro though to see if it makes any difference.
For some reason this only applies to K9 mail
When I get an email, there is no sound notification. At first I thought it was a bug with the sound file I selected (so I got rings extended) and that didn't help. Keep sending/receiving emails and still no sound. I checked my sound settings, there are bars on everything and the phone is not on vibrate/mute
I also got E-Mail notifier thinking a different program could call the sound but it doesn't play it either! What is going on? Stock sound files won't play... is there a problem with my rom? (axura 2.2)
When I click on the sound file it previews properly. Notifications work properly with sms. Not sure what is going on, any ideas?
is there any way to start the two way call recorder once the phone call has been initiated? i don't see any options to do such.
additionally, for some reason the option "delay for outgoing calls" is grayed out. might there be a reason for this?
thanks in advance
mark
My understanding is that you need to have the recorder active, and then all calls will just be recorded. I also have that option greyed out, I think it was active in 1.6 or maybe 1.6.1 for me, but I Don.t have it in 1.6.3. I did mess around with stuff in 1.6.2, but did not completely wipe before flashing 1.6.3 so it my be that I messed something up... It works though so I haven't worried about it too much. I have notices that recording only works in both directions with BAMF or control freak kernels. When I tried a leanKernel it only recorded in one direction but again that might have been a result of something I did when fooling about in 1.6.2.
When the call connects it starts recording. Not when it's ringing but when the person receiving the call answers it.
Mah BAMF Thunderbolt
I have not been able to get this working on BAMF 2.0 roms so I am considering going back to 1.6....Glad to hear it is still working on Froyo.
