here is the situation i'm in:
Each time I tried to upgrade my HTC Touch Dual with another Radio(like 1.71 or 1.65) ,i prosed with the operation but it did not complete for an error on 100%!! then my phone was stuck on the three colors Screen with some words:'Upgrade ROM code error Please try again'
RUU_ERROR_226 FLASH WRITE
But It semms allright when I managed to upgrade a ROM without radio...
Please help me ....

I upgrade a Chinese version ROM.... And everything is okay now.....

After failed update Ive decided to go back to 1.66 imate rom ( my device is imate) but whenever I try to do it it gives me error ERROR 100 - deivce ID error. imate stuck in bootlader.

C'mon people, help me out here. I've tried all roms 1.52 original, tmobile, o2 - they all give me this error! Is there a way to avoid device ID checking?
Becare full you guys!! This ROM is FULL of ****!! Upgrade is OKEY!! But DOWNGRADE or STUCK in the MIDDLE while you UpGrade it, YOU WILL GET MODEL ID ERROR!! THAT"S FREAK!! Now my XDAII is DEAD!! itsme already try to help me with program language, but i donno using what and from where? And with what kind of tools? Any body wanna HELP me out here?
hello everyone,
i had a problem while i was installing a cocked ROM
i installed a cocked Rom LILLY ROM v1.2.4 and i wanted to get back the original Rom again.
so i Run sspl-1.16-nike.exe from my phone and i started to install the official Nike ASIA WWE 2.12.707.2 Radio R 1.65.29.22
during the instalation on 14% i received an error:
Error 264 connection and till now i can't get my original ROM and can't use my phone i still see the 3 colours screen with the message: Upgrade ROM code error please try again.
i tried alot of times to do recovery by the same software but all are failed
please help me!!!

i have ATHENA 100 in T-MOBILE Ameo........ i update lot of rom's on my ameo with success . my phone status is: IPL-v1.00 SPL-v1.20. Olipro.
my bad luck i try to update with that rom (Athena_SPL3.5_WM6.1_WWE_R6.1-Michy) after 92% rom got error & phone restart. after that my Ameo hang on startup. i put my phone into usb mode by pressing CAMERA key + POWER & try to upgrade with lot of diffrent roms but i got ERROR[244] INVALID MODEL ID (pic attached below) plz help me how can i update my phone in working condition??>......................
Dear friend
I think you have to install the original rom on your phone , not another cooked ROM.
If you can do that , your phone will be downgrade to original spl .

my frnd i got the 100% same problem pls do let me know if u could get rid of it im also trying my best to solve this but im still there....
Set your wifi adress with Mtty software after that upgrade with original rom all ok.

I have MDA Vario II, aka Herm300, aka Tytn ... My problem is that I've got "No GSM". So I got in forum and checked how to try to Fix it threads... So I tried by putting "Hard-SPL" and also I've tried to Upgrade "Radio", but every time when I start upgrade I recieve "Error 262" at 0%, I changed several Radio's but I had always same result. Also I've tried to downgrade to Official Rom of WM5 and it stops at 13% witn "Error 262" . So my Question is:
Is it possible that I have hardware problem not radio problem .
ATM it works fine with Schap's ROM as PDA and "No Gsm" Again ...
On Bootloader I got:
IPL-1.01
SPL-1.40.Olipro
If there is another solution that may help I'm open for advice.

wich one is the 262 error. (why to put the error number? write the entirely error!)
Dunno if it is brick, because I cant update with most of the roms and also I get error with every radio I try to update with ... I've tried with more than 10 radio's from the archive ...
P.S. I think it is Hardware problem + I got brick and because of the hardware problem i cant reinstal rom+radio or rom to repair brick problem ...
So wich one is the error??????
error 206 207 200768 i dont know...i have this issues too and the cprog.exe seems to be incompatible ... my cable hasnt a good contact to the usb plus the rom i had i didnt downgrade to wmoriginal in a few times...

Hi I have the same phone a T-Mobile MDA Vario II i ran unlock program HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a - i must have run it wrong or something cause my phone has colours on the screen red green blue white with the ipl 1.01and spl 1.40 - it used to ipl 1.4 (ithink) and spl 2.14(i think) before i tried to run the hct_herm.....v3a.
Is my phone trashed or what can i do . when i plug in the usb cable the message at bottom goes from serial to usb but thats it - the active sysnc does not see the phone. help help help any advice welcome ( short of buy a new phone) this is my new phone i only got it a day ago.

It seems you haven't hard-spl. Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1618402&postcount=1 this, or ruu-signed roms.
can you post here some RUU signed ROMs?
When I updating it´s wrote me error 270 or 294 invalid vendor id
I was test this roms:

But everything, without change, when I give update ROM it´s stop on 4% and write error 270 update error - when I try HSPL or 294 invalit vender error - when I try ROMs
