Ezhero and Vanilla eclair both top all of your requirements. Bu they are Vanilla, but Vanilla roms are usually way faster than sense roms, give one a try! Ezhero has jit, while Vanilla Eclair isnt, but both are extremely fast, and you chexk by going to the market and downloading neocore and linpack
Sent from my HTC Hero using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk

cronos 1.5.1 with jit & o/c to 690 gives average 4.5 mflps for me.

but it doesnt look good without sense, i hate the navigation bar thing at the bottom of the homescreen...
any sense ROM getting 4.5mflops+??

people are using jit on villainrom 10.2 and getting 4.9mflops.
Im in the process of installing JIT on mine now
Update: getting 4.6 linpack scores and getting 29.2 fps on neocore without live wallpapers.
With live wallpaper running Linpack: 4.2
Install 10.2 villainrom and then follow the basic instructions here:
http://www.villainrom.grense.no/vil...sid=6ecc54daded5d6ff9f967e8849aa4215&start=30

Yup. VillainROm 10.2 with JIT works fine for the day I had it running. I removed the JIT patch only because I was willing to trade speed for battery life. I found the JIT doubled the battery drain rate.

i couldnt even start up after using JIT on 10.2...
any other ROMs besides villain that you would recommend??

u need to let it load, takes ages after it first installs. Then play with it a couple of minutes then restart it. Repeat this procedure a few times and it should speed up and work fine
edit: i dont know about other roms... why move from the best?

it just froze, had to pull the battery...
and i remember russel saying that JIT was only stable with SuperHero and not VillainROM...

when u say froze, did it stick at the white screen that says quietly brilliant?

cant remember now, i switched ROM's... i really wish I hadnt done that now

whats the fastest ROM HTC Hero can be on?

i feel it a bit laggy and i'm running out of internal space
so what ROM can make it super fast without using TasksPanel to kill things from time to time and has support to store applications on the memory card ?
arabic language addon with the above would be even better!
Thanks
Take a look at Cronos Droid Might be the fastest... even faster than Villain 6.0 and others jit enabled roms!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=607865
fastest but not 2.1
look at my Signature i think it's the fastest 2.1 rom
I find the Kimera 1.6 ROM with 650MHz overclock kernel makes my Hero fly, especially compared to 2.1 ROMs, such as Cronos 1.3.

Try Cronos Droid first! I tried bot yesterday...No way! Cronos is much faster!

do you think kimera 1.6 is faster than 1.8?
(I'm on 1.8 custom oc and never tried previous versions)

But why not publishing some numbers? Just quote the performance application you used and the publish your numbers.
Or, better, let's all agree on a single performance application.
Anything like "I think/feel/see xyz being the fastest" is simply an opinion, not a fact.
But some roms (especially those with jit enabled) scores really high in for exampel linpack. However they can still feel quite laggy in menu's etc.
imo kimera is the fastest right now. and i tried most of the custom roms.
So let's check JIT and non.JIT roms separately.
Kimera 1.8 running at 690mhz
Linpack: 3.0 mflops
aHero
aHero is not only very, VERY fast but also quite stable.
It is, by far, my favourite Vanilla ROM.

Sorry, I meant 1.8.
Cronos Droid Version 1.3
There isn't a faster Rom than kimera 1.8 and thats a fact.
SuperHero 1.1.0 gets over 5 Mflops in some cases with JIT and O/C.
It's the fastest 2.1 ROM AFAIK.
Right now I'd rather see more functions than speed. Most of the roms I've tried are stable, but missing one or more functions like MMS, Facebook sync, has green tint, etc etc.
Speed (as well as size) isn't everything.

The 1.5 ROMs are all pretty damn good in that respect.
Superhero 1.1 is the fastest with JIT and OC of 710 MHz i get 4.522 MFLOPS
I've tested several roms including CronosDroid, Villain 5.5 and SlideVillain. I've found that if you don't want to overclock, Legendroid seems to be the fastest. It just feels faster than the others. Whether this is reflected in benchmarks I don't know, I was not using linpack when I was exploring the different roms available.
I've been running the Ben10 Legendary kernel over Legendroid for the last 6hrs and it works well, but I haven't run other overclocked roms so I can't make a comparison there.
Overall though, Legendroid seems to have a speed about it that the others lack. Whether you're flicking through contacts, using the browser or jumping between homescreens, other roms feel laggy compared to it. Especially if you're a sense junky, the Legend ports have far more stuff built into them compared to other roms.

Cronos Droid 2.0.2 vs VillainROM 12.0.0

I was wondering if anyone did a comparison between those two roms. I like Sense but want fast and stable rom. Which one is more stable, faster, has longer battery life, doesn't crash too often, and stuff like APS2SD and 3d Gallery work flawlessly?
Best way is: try it out yourself Everyone has their subjective look on it and their own preferences.
tried Cronos 1.7.1 and had problem with APS2SD... VillainROM 12.0.0 had a problem with battery being drained too quickly after I reset it at 5% (as suggested by many). I'm just looking for stable rom untill developers get Froyo up and running
I think I will go with stock 2.1 for now
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=1973
Cronos 2.0.2 all the way
so I tested all three roms myself and from user experience here is what I found:
stock rom is very slow and once I installed it I wanted to switch right away, the battery life in VillainROM 12.0.0 is not that great and plus it gets buggy if I set my CPU at 176 with screen off (works perfect at 190), Cronos 2.0.2 is a keeper the battery life is way better than other roms I tried and my Hero wakes up flawlessly when CPU is set to 176.
I am using the Villain 12 with the kernel and optimizations here: (my kernel & optimizations )
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=97&t=1928
I have no battery issues, no wake up issues and speed is great at 691/160 (using SetCPU with no profiles).
I don't know about Cronos 2.0.2, but with 2.0.1 I had some minor problems. Here no issues at all.
I have used both (only used Chronos for a day before I got bored, fiddled with it and broke it )
Chronos seemed faster for the bit I used it, but there doesn't seem to much in it. Apps2sd ect. work fine in both. Will check battery life later.
Its down to personal choice, try both and see what you like, you can't try them for short periods though keep each for over a day if you really want to try them out.
Many people prefer different things in roms and it depends what you want to do with them.
Just a quick fact about cronos droid 2.0.2. My highest fps that i got from neocore was 32.3fps which In my opinion is excellent. So if you want good 3d, this might be something to consider about.

Best 2.2 rom?

Any opinions? I'm on KaosFroyo right now and it is amazing but what do you guys think?
Clearly this is all opinion:
CM6. Fastest I've used (noticeably when I play games) and it's really not missing any features... I think facebook sync is working now, gps, everything really except for the camera.
It's weird I think all the camera apps don't work in Froyo. What about the overclock? All the 2.2 roms are at 710 by default right? Even if you dont have setcpu installed?
At the moment they seem to all use a kernel with 710mhz default. The camera is related to the kernel and once the froyo kernel is out we'll have camera.
Try celebfroyo 1.4
My personnel experience has been, KaosFroyo was awesome, but I had some MINOR issues such as launcher pros 3d app drawer lagging real bad, and game performance being somewhat awful. Am now on Cyanogen6 test build. 0 issues. Other than stock camera. Camera magic fixed that for me.
Whitepaint, I had the same issues with games... Zenonia was literally impossible to play lol maybe 10 FPS tops, with CM6 I'm seeing serious improvements.
thanks guys ill go try Cm6

CelebFroyo 1.4 i have it over clocked to 806mhz and stable. Linpack 5.5 and quadrent 420. Been really stable aswell. NIKOLAI2.1 Froyo's kernal is 710mhz and yes you can use SetCPU. Mines only stable up to 806

Tried them all so far, like them all, but definitely have had the most luck with CELB 1.4. Was rocking Kaos for a bit and was pretty quick, but noticed it was slowing down a bit. Battery life was pretty good. Once I got CELB going though, I was just amazed at how quick everything is. Apps open well, smooth scrolling, and most surprising to me is that there is almost no lag when waking the phone while the profile is set 480/245 and when screen is awake it's 806/480 - both performance. Loving it so far, even though battery life doesn't seem quite as good. Small price to pay for the speed though in my opinion.

Just curing do you use surface dithering and/or JIT? CM6 had Jit disabled my default for some reason.

Yeah I enabled it, I was just curious if I should have since I've seen that JIT is a little unstable.
I have surface dithering on and JIT on with 24m cache.
edit: And JIT is unstable only with certain apps and with Froyo roms it works a million times better. JIT was made for froyo and not 2.1.

I may not have understood what you were saying, but are you saying you have your setcpu to scale for performance all the time? If so that's probably why your battery life is suffering as performance forces the CPU to stay clocked at your highest speed. Yours being 806 awake and 480 asleep. Setting it to On demand will allow the CPU to clock down when its not in use.
Yes, performance means 100% of the time it is clocked as high as possible, put it on demand. Our kernels don't support anything else like "conservative."
Are the Froyo MODs using Sense? I really don't like the idea of giving it up. Everything is too boring without it (just my opinion, don't kill me for it!).

Jit for 2.1 yes or no?

I know 2.2 is a different story but I'm curious as to peoples opinions with jit on 2.1 roms since 2.2 is still a little buggy imho.
Well I am running nonsense with jit from froyo (frozen eclair) and netarchy's kernel. I get linpack scores of 19-20, 750 quadrant, and 51 fps. Take that for what its worth. I was getting higher linpack/quadrant scores with CM6, but I am unwilling to sacrifice ALL of my evo's features, namely MMS, consistant cameras, 4G, and qik. Some of these features work for some folks, but not others. You keep all of your evo specific features with a 2.1 rom...

No, it's not worth it on the Eris it's too unstable. I have a topic about this.
i agree. it's not stable at all. when i first used it, it was working great but over time it started making my phone laggy and just a bunch of problems.

[q] cm9/ics... Why?

apart from fulfilling the need to flash new roms... what are the advantages over a stable CM7 and CM9 as it now stands?
and!! apart from it being (just?) another new rom... what will the advantages of CM9 (stable) over CM7?
Well, there are several important advantages of running CM7 instead of stock. Most notable are huge improvements in speed and battery life. I use my Atrix fairly often, including an hour or so of GBA emulation as part of my daily routine (gba games at the gym = fun cardio workout).
On CM7, my battery generally lasts at least 24 hours despite games and other moderate usage. And when I use it lightly, I've actually gone a day, a night and another day on multiple occasions without charging. Note that this is while 3G is turned on and push notifications/update intervals are at default values.
And as I mentioned, speed. The speed improvement is huge.
CM9 (which I'm using now, Beta 0.1.0) improves speed even more, has about the same battery life and a hugely improved interface. The new gmail app is fantastic, and the stock browser is much better. There are really big updates all around the board. If you get CM9, make sure you get Joker's build with the 2D fix.
I've been on the Ba2TF build for quite some time now is the joker build as stable?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
I've been running jokers build daily for quite some time. It is still a tad glitchy, but all main components including the camera work. Most issues lay with the 2d, but he us doing an amazing job at popping out fixes quickly. Battery life, for me at least, blows any GB rom out of the water, which is why I'm not going back.

As I mentioned above the battery life seems night and day from CM7, under light use my battery will last 2 days on jokers build, 17 hrs was my best on CM7.
I also find it to be quite snappy for being in a very early beta stage, my cfbench score is beating my friends Amaze 4g overclocked to 1.7
Give it a try, its in my opinion the best rom our atrix has going for it.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I'll be going over to CM9 as soon as the next version is released. I'm trying to wait as much as possible so I can get a stable version.
Jokersax CM9, Faux 1.0GHz 025 CM9 kernel with mild UV, ADW-EX, and 37P radio. Running smooth as a snail trail with great battery life!
Daily driver now.
ICS by Jokersax runs very smooth, I have Faux123 1gHZ cm9 running as well as nova launcher beta. I recommend Nova launcher over Stock launcher by Trebuchet. Battery lasts way longer than Gingerbread'blur roms.
