I'm normaly using NRG's roms but I tried a few different a while back. Since then when I start up my phone I get 'CleanEX UDT Black Series' I've tried task 29 but I still get the same screen. Any way to get rid of this or is it something to do with the ROM update utility. Thanks lads(ladys)for your help.
read splash screen link in my sig. also do some searching, gets asked and answered often.
your keywords are splashscreen and bootscreen

Hello,
Ive been tring to access the wiki page for the past few hours. and Im unable to to get to it, just gives me a tcp time out.
But Im kinda stuck, I loaded the ROM
HTC_Hermes_S64_WM_6.1_HTC_WWE_v2_30.3.2008
Worked great for about 12 hours. and now its locked on the Windows Logo Screen. Ive tried Soft re-set via the button on the bottom of the phone and ive also tried removing the battery. ive read in some threads there is a button combination that can get me to a bootloader screen so i can load another rom? is this true?
And it hangs each time on the windows logo screen. Can someone point me in the correct direction. Ive searched on and off the forums. and im not finding a solution really other than goto the wiki pages but i cant seem to access those.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
** I got it to boot. I found a thread that suggested Pressing Both Soft Keys at the same time and pressing the reset. Once there Press R on the Keyboard to Confirm. and it seems to be working fine now. I Just need to Load a Stable ROM on there.
That would be called a "HARD RESET". It puts the hermes back to factory standard.... Please note though that it reloads the last os you installed, HTC_Hermes_S64_WM_6.1_HTC_WWE_v2_30.3.2008.
If t keeps causing problems, my advice would be to go back to a wm6 rom until you know about the quirks of this little device and the issues caused by flashing wm6.1(not known to be totally stable)... Cheers...

Definitely.
On the other hand, if you are inclined to help with debugging, and understand what mtty is, and the phone is still causing troubles, you might try reading the rest of this thread, trying the proposed "task 28" solution, then reporting back in there.
I've just been trying a few ROMs and whist trying to downgrade from 3.5 to 1.2 spl I found myself stuck in the bootloader white loading.. screen.
If I pull the battery it boots the ROM fine but whenever I entered bootloader or ran a ROMupdateutility to try a reflash I got this white screen.
I've searched for an answer on here with no joy and actually started this post to ask for help but I've just removed the SD card and it went straight to the normal bootloader screen and I'm re-flashing as we speak.
Just thought I'd complete the post for any future searchers.
Thanks
Mine has been stuck on the screen every time I try to re-flash (which actually has saved me from wasting a lot of time as well ....) but I did the same & now have the Bootloader.
Back to the endless routine of upgrades and downgrades then.
I was using my HD2 the other day for both Android and Windows mobile (Stock ROM). I had no problems with it at all, and at this particular time, had it on WM, but when I took it out of my pocket to use it I noticed there was nothing but a white screen. I tried restarting and I still get nothing but that same white screen.
I'm able to access the bootloader and it shows as having HSPL installed, though any attempt to install a ROM leaves it stalled at 0%. I can update the LEOimg.nbh through the storage card, but as soon as it's done and I restart, i'm right back at that white screen.
I feel like i've tried absolutely everything to attempt to fix this, and I wouldn't clog up the forum with another thread if I wasn't absolutely lost. If anybody could help me with this, I would hugely appreciate it as I can't be without a phone for too long, and being unable to remove HSPL means I can't take it back to the store.
Thanks for any help.
EDIT: Phone appears to have fixed itself now.
Hello, my HD2 started entering the re-boot loop probably because of overheating (I live in a warm country and it started showing problems during the summer). After that, I installed the new official rom from the HTC website (finding a SN online :S) after trying to install the new rom I realised I shouldn't have tried that since it wasn't made for my SN. Anw after that the phone is kind of dead, freezes at the HTC boot screen. I have installed HSPL 1.42 on it but I can't load any new rom (I enter the bootloader - that's the only way I can think of since I got lost in a zillion posts) When it starts loading the new roms into the phone I get a 276 error saying it can't finished the procedure. (after such an error on the startup screen I still see the HTC logo but this time with black and white stripes covering the screen). I can't seem to find something similar in the other posts, I hope it wasn't answered somewhere previously. Even if so please redirect me or tell me what else to try since I'm quite frustrated!.. Please explain thoroughly because it's been a while since I was into hd2 tech stuff. Thank you in advance!
PS: Can I somehow find what rom I currently have IF there is one installed? I'm lost here....

check the battery pins. ive read of people for whom it is possible to get into bootloader, and it seems like normal, but then it fails to load when trying to boot fully, usually a reboot loop.
forget about finding what rom is on there currently, its time wasted, really.
a better use of your time is using your serial to find out which rom the htc website will let you have, and flash that, from sd card preferably.
Why not just reset the phone, and start over?
found a good rom, installed it via sd card, still reboot loop. that make me think that the problem might be the battery pins. if so what's the solution?
same thing happend to me just adjust the pins

how do you adjust the pins? They're supposed to be straight right?

That's right, you understand. and perhaps I just don't know what it means but, I don't think it "freezes" on the 4GLTE screen, it loads until that screen and then continues to be animate, rings appearing and disappearing, loading indefinitely. I don't know if that's anything different, but just in case that clarifies anything.
and I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2040264 but to no avail. it always fails @ or immediately after the RECOVERY step.
Any ideas?
