I have used Titanium Backup and also the App-Manager plugin for ROM Toolkit (Both very good apps) but neither seem to backup game data for games such as Angry Birds Space. Meaning that when I flash a new ROM and I restore my apps with whatever application I used to back it up, that the data isnt restored. Its a bit annoying. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if so, if they found a solution?
Cheers
hello,
If I am signed into origin on most wanted will it save game data, so if I was to factory reset or install different rom could I just install the game, sign back in and my game data will be there?
Thank you.
it will be restored automatically only if origin saves these data files on their servers, you can't know that but i suggest to use a backup app
So I am playing this game Arc:Redux on my Note 4 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Psyonix.ArcSquadron&hl=en
I have backed up my phone previously with Titanium (rooted) and when i installed on a new ROM, my backup (the level I was on or on any of my gameplay purchased gear) was not restored. I tried multiple times to get the game back to where I was, even tried restoring my TWRP backup of the original ROM itself. I was not able to restore the data.
The game does have a Google Plus sign in, but that just seems to be for Experience points and not gameplay saving.
I since started fresh on the game and have resisted all new updates to new ROMs because I don't want to lose my current standing in the game.
But now I have a new Samsung Tablet I want to play this game with. I again tried to backup and then restore on the tablet using Titanium. It didnt work. I then tried using DataSync. Still didnt work. I also complained on the game company's forum and Google Play link, and have not received any answer.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Not sure if this will work but I would try connecting the device via usb to your computer copy the game files before doing the update then if you lose your game data replace the game files on with the ones on your computer.

Well, Titanium is doing exactly that. It's backing up the game files and then I am restoring them to the new device. It's not working.
If I am switching ROMs, is there any way to backup and then restore my Google Play Music files?
I have nearly 40GB of playlists etc and would really prefer not to have to redownload them each time. Is there a way to backup a specific folder and then restore it after flashing the new ROM?
I understand they are DRM protected. I don't want to add them to my computer or anything, I just want to avoid the headahce of trying to DL 40gb of data on a very slow connection.
Hi,
I'd like to also step in and ask for a solution. I myself have 30GB that needs downloading everytime i install a new ROM.
I have tried to use Titanium to tell the system that some kind of ID stays the same, but apparently the music is deleted from the phone as soon as the phone is started for the first time, so I can't really tell whether this would work or not.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated
So I've been playing Magic 2015 Duels of the Planeswalkers on my Android for a long time and I would like to transfer my progess to my new phone but unfornately the game data is located under the data folder, impossible to access without root.
The thing is I don't want to root any of my phones because I ONLY want to backup the data from just ONE game. Nothing more.
I tried Hellium backup, but it always gives me an error when attempting to backup Magic.
is it possible to backup and transfer the data without rooting? maybe an ADB command or something? what can I do?
Thanks
