I've done a search and I can't find anything for mine.

I have flashed HARDSPL, RADIO and ROM, also put android on it.
But I don't like it, so I want it all back to stock.

android doesn't matter.
to return WM to stock either:
1- flash original rom from sd card (will replace hspl, radio and rom) or
via usb (in this order, more or less-- 2c at the end for sure):
2a- flash original radio
2b- flash original rom
2c- use hspl to put spl back on your device
cheers.

Thank you for replying.
But I don't know which stock ROM to download?
I have found one which flashes HSPL, RADIO and ROM, but it is asking If I would like to download the unbranded version or others.
If I do it your way (number1) that's all I need to do, and It will be all back to stock?

you're welcome and yep, it will bring it all back to stock (i mean, the rom you are going to flash has all the stock stuff- rom and radio- in it so that is what will be on your phone and flashing from the sdcard removes hspl- so all stock!)

Any Idea which ROM I will have to use, as I'm sure you can't just use any right?

I used to have the same question =)
"How the hell do I get it back to factory settings?!"
I actually just downloaded the stock ROM from t-mobile. Here's the website for the U.S.A. Hd2:
dl.htc.com/ruudownload/t-mobileUS/DeviceDownloads.aspx?pid=leo
Once you download the stock rom you merely plug you phone up to your computer and click on the rom file to go through the steps.
Hope this helps

Thank you for that
I am from the UK though with an 02 HTC HD2 (Think unbranded as it doesn't say anything on the front except for HTC, unlike the T-mobile one)

I need to send mine back to tmobile and I've reflashed the software and put back on spl. But, will the tmo techs think it's weird when my spl is 2.08 when stock I believe is 2.10 for the upgraded 2.13 rom?
I've tried what people say about renaming the nbh file but my phone doesn't want to flash through the sd card.

So I can just flash any ROM then?

As you have HSPL installed: through USB you can flash almost any ROM (not TMOUS ones)
But if you really want to go to stock:
Download your ROM from HTC Support site
For O2 you will need a branded rom by the looks of it. (This one)
Just try to download, fill in your devices Serial number, it will tell you wether this Rom is Ok or not.
If you need another then search for it....
BTW: Apply HTC hotfixes released after ROM release date, these are not incorporated in the rom you downloaded....
Flash from SD card to completely revert to stock.

No, go to the 'Leo official roms' thread, first post, first link, 1.72 folder, look for the rom
RUU_Le2_UK_1.72.206.3_Radio_CRC_Signed_15.32.50 .07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship.exe
see how it says O2 and UK in the name?
Get that, flash it from USB, then run HSPL2 and choose 1.66.0000
SD card flashing is soooo old fashioned, hehe.
Done, all stock.

New Verizon XV6800

hi, i just got the XV6800 from verizon today because my Moto Q9m died after only 7 months. so they gave me this for it. now after reading the forum and many other sites and tutorials. i am ready to flash my phone. is this the easiest "[Tutorial] Verizon xv6800 Custom ROM Flashing" to follow? i read it and it didn't seem that bad. just wanted to know and make sure if the names of the files he speaks of are the most recent one's. and i take it i should back up my factory setting file off the phone before i attempt to do this. a few of my friends at work has this phone and i liked the fact they have it doing somethings the iphone does. like you can scroll through contacts by just sliding your finger and all. i would like to do this stuff as well. is that all then included in the flash or must i install other apps.
Phone has
Software Version: 2.09.605.8 (ROM version)
Firmware Version: 1.30.60 (radio version)
please help, really appreciate it
thanks
His guide is pretty good. Everything is up to date except for the SPL. I would recommend using the latest bootloader put out by No2Chem - version 2.47, but that's my only change from his guide. It installs via an SD card only, whereas his guide uses the computer to get Olipro's 2.4. You should be able to find a guide to using SD cards to flash as well as links to 2.47 throughout this forum and ppcgeeks.
Or you can certainly follow his guide as written and you'll be just fine.
Ivan
Keep in mind that using No2chems SPL you cannot go back to stock Verizon radio and ROM..... So if your phone breaks, you have to bring it in as is and chance they don't notice the difference.....
ok on the fact that once you go new flash you can't go back to factory. so before i do this i should back up my contacts. since the phone is new i don't have anything else on it. is there anything else i should back up either? so after its flashed then how do i get the programs on to scroll by just sliding? is that stuff that can be put on with out flashing this. but from what i read on here flash makes the phone run much better anyway

You can flash the old bootloader back on the phone after upgrading to 2.47 though then go back to the original ROM and radio, you just cant flash provider ROM from 2.47 just like you cannot from 2.40.
Am I missing something about what you are saying?
so i can flash to newer rom and be able to go back.. now i'm confused
if you i install themes must it be a new roM

I'm pretty sure he's simply saying: if you use No2Chem's 2.47, you can't directly flash back to Verizon's stock firmware, but if you flash back to the old bootloader (factory bootloader), you can.
and LilSnoop40, as far as I know, all of those files are the most up-to-date that I could find. I may update the guide because I am noticing (from other people's experience) that after the 3.42.02 firmware (which I flashed to, not 3.42.30), that you need to use a Low-density MicroSD (not MicroSDHC) card to flash on the new radios.
If you need help with any of this in more detail, feel free to contact me.

serfs - As I understand it, once you flash to No2chems SPL, you cannot go back to a non GPS rom. I asked this in his thread and it was confirmed. Now, they didn't say whether you could flash Olli Pro and then use his re-locker and then flash the stock ROM.... Look at this post....

[q] spl 3.03.0000

Morning.
Is there a method to revert back to an old SPL from 3.03.0000 ?
I have searched and searched but to no avail yet. I have tried HSPL2 and 3. I have read that applying a old stock from from SD card does not work either.
The situation is that my HD2 has come back from warantee repair (overheating/reboot issue) and is running SPL 3.03 with their stock rom. This means that I cannot run a lightweight windows rom and therefore cannot properly run my favourite Android rom(s).
I have read a few people in the same boat so thought I would create a new thread as I couldn't find one yet.
Thank you so much.
Yans.
Hello!
I've had this problem too. You have to flash an ORIGINAL ROM from HTC homepage for your device. You will need the serial number (under the battery) of your HD2. Flash the Original Rom that you downloaded from HTC. After this you will have the old SPL version on your HD2.

I think theres no normal way (means u cant downgrade official roms, without hspl) of downgrading. U have to use hspl, if it capable of removing the 3.03 spl. If HSPL2-3 cant do that, u have to wait for the new hspl.
Correct me if im wrong.

As i told u guys before. U cant install official roms via activesync. Theres only 1 way and that is HSPL.
U cant downgrade officials rom via activesync or sd card.

Downloaded the Roms through the support part of HTC.com
Connect phone with activesync.
Run downloaded .exe
That's it.
Easy as that.
If HTC.com does not take your serial (IE branded phone) look at this topic for the new rom:

And here for older stock rom:

Well, i remember i tried to downgrade once, and i got a message, that i have newer rom, so it cant downgrade.

Thank you everyone for your assistance. i am back on HSPL 2.08.
I already had the stock rom from HTC website because I put it on to send the phone back for repairs. I put this back on a moment ago and it put SPL 1.42 back on, PERFECT!
The only reason I didn't do this before (after reading other posts) is because when I did this initially (for sending the phone back) it didn’t touch the SPL but now I realise this was down to the fact it was running HSPL and not SPL.
So I have now incremented SPL 1.42 to HPSL 2.08 and running ChuchDroid for my lovely Android rom. Excellent.
Thank you all
Yans.
Go to your local HTC.com website,go to the support page, look for ROM upgrades for your device(HD2),if the old ROM is removed from the website you most probably wont be able to downgrade, now if you find there 2 ROM updates, say like 3.14.xxx and 166.XXX,chose the older version and enter your S/N if accepts its good to go
Hey guys. Im having this problem over at this thread: /showthread.php?t=814656
My problem is that Activesync does not detect my phone. So I can't downgrade.. But if I somehow get one of the official ROM's (say 1.48) and get the .nbh file onto the sd card, could that work?
YES I DID IT!! Multi card reader for the win!

yeeyyyyyyy thank you so much guys...with your help i could get back to 1.42. from 3.03 now im gonna look for some nice wm and android roms thank you so so much guys you made my day
Great to know.
My HD2 died with an unresponsive touchscreen, whilst having hspl 1.42 on.
I got the latest ROM off HTC with my serial, flashed with EXE but HSPL was not overwritten, so I thought that flashing through activesync didn't upgrade the SPL.
Hence I flashed latest rom via microSD and I got the SPL 3.03 there, sure that there was a HSPL for that too.
When I realized there wasn't, I was left with the nightmare of getting back from warranty a bloathed system I couldn't get back to operating conditions.
Now I discover that all it takes to downgrade SPL 3.03 is running the official exe for your device off an older ROM.
Nice.

Dear friend;
i would like to know how did you down grade spl?

[Q] HD2 Bricked?

Hello.
Okay so I had HSPL 1.42 on my phone.
I extracted the 'RUU_signed.nbh' of the official 3.14 stock ROM from the .exe file that HTC provided.
I changed it's name to 'LEOIMG.nbh' and placed it on the root of my SD card.
I then tried flashing the new ROM by entering the bootloader.
For some reason (power was NOT lost) the ROM upgrade failed half way through.
Now when I try and boot the phone normally, it displays a grey screen with an alert symbol saying 'Software update failed. Please try again'
It then takes me to the bootloader screen
The SPL version has changed from HSPL 1.42 to SPL-3.03.0000
Below these details it displays the message 'Upgrade ROM code error. Please try again'
Due to the SPL version being 3.03, I am unable to install any HSPL version onto it again.
When I try to flash the official ROM 3.14 again via the official RUU (via laptop) it fails
What do I do? IS MY PHONE BRICKED?!
i think your hd2 is not bricked just without os and i think you are going to wait for the new hspl
Okay
Thanks for your reply
I seem to remember somewhere that I might be able to solve it somehow by using a friend's HD2...hmmm...not sure though
EDIT: I managed to finally download the 1.48 stock ROM. When I try to change to this ROM via the RUU it reaches 1% and then fails.
MTN_HD2 said:
i already know what will happen . the 3.14 rom cant work correctly (in another word works like ****) with SPLs other than 3.03. so if i install it since theres an HSPL on it the SPL version wont change to 3.03 . to change its spl , you should install the rom once more from the sd card which will freeze in the middle of the update and the result is a f'd ROM and SPL 3.03 .
since theres no HSPL support on 3.03 , theres no comeback and you will be f'd until a new HSPL is released
btw what SPL version does the 1.66 official update install?

My device is unbranded, but when I put the serial number in to HTC's update download page thing it says it is unsuitable, so I used someone elses unbranded S/N and used that instead, maybe that's why it happened? Is there a solution?

mh..i'm nearly 100% sure, that it has to work...
was it really YOUR stock rom? sure that your phone wasnt branded?
DN41
Well I got my phone second hand from CeX (English shop)
It had the unbranded stock ROM on it, and no physical branding on the phone like the T-Mobile name. But when I put in my S/N to the unbranded update thingy it said the download wasn't suitable for my device so I used someone elses S/N
so it seems that they flashed the stock rom, but your phone is originally branded.
if i was you, i would call them and ask or i would use my own S/N and check all downloads on htc.com. then you'll see of an o2, tmo, vdf or whatever is downloadable.
the one, which is downloadable with your s/n, should be flashed via sd.

[Q] HELP: Having Issues Reverting back to stock rom

Howdy all,
Had ANdroid on the HD2 and wanting to revert back to the original ROM.
Have downloaded a stock rom (3.14 WWE) and have used task 29 to clean up the phone.
Trying to install the rom gives an error: 209: Invalid Vendor ID.
THe phone shows it get to 1% and then reset itself.
I have tried 1.32 Radio, 1.66 and 2.08, all giving the same result (Except for 2.08 wouldnt even get to 1%)
Completely stuck here...
Any help would be great.
Also, read about flashing from SD, but because i've used task 29 the phone has no ROM to boot to. Plus I couldnt figure out how to extract the RUU_signed.nbh from the original .exe
Maybe i've done something wrong?
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Oky, lets start with the beginning.
Error: 209: (Invalid Vendor ID) means that the stock ROM you are try to install isn't the right one. Probably you have a branded device; ore you need to install a otter aria Rom.
Secondly Stock ROM 3.14 isn't compatible with HSPL; so you need to remove it (use HSPL2_RUN.exe to remove HSPL and select SPL 1.66 instead.)
PS, you don't need to install separately a Radio version. Ons you have install Stock Rom 3.14 you will have automatic Radio 2.15.50.14
The important thing is to install a correct stock ROM who match with your device. (witch was your official ROM version?)

Stock ROM 3.14 WWE (3.14.413.2) can't be install on a Thailand Rom version !?
Secondly Task 29 isn't compatible with SPL 3.03 neater.
Thirdly I don't see way you need to revers back to a stock ROM (because you mention that Android was the reason (Android isn't install on your device, but on SD. So it don't change your internal ROM))
Okay; what you can try to do is flashing over SD.
but you need to use a original stock ROM and not the WWE (3.14.413.2) you need the version of Thailand (if this was your original!?) (Asia_WWE_3.14.707.3)
- Download your original stock ROM
- Use WinZip to extract it; and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file
- Rename the .nbh file to "leoimg.nbh" place it on a SD (take a 2GB SD) who was been format (FAT32)
- Shut Down your device, enter your SD, hold volume down button, and shortly press on the power button.
- follow the instructions on your screen.
But like mention early'r you need to use the right stock ROM version!

Based on the fact that stock ROM 3.14 use SPL 3.03 who isn't compatible with HSPL you can't change your stock ROM version by using HSPL.
But if you used the GoldCard technique you can install a otter stock ROM version.

Sorry sir, I can't follow you
You mentioned to have install Stock rom 3.14 correctly; but now you mention to have "SPL 1.66"
If you have install stock ROM 3.14 correctly like mention before you will have SPL 3.03!
And like I mention before if you will install latest stock ROM 3.14 WWE (3.14.413.2) on your Taiwanese device (x.XX.707.x) you need to use the GoldCard technique!
We dont have spl 3 could that be why the other ROMs woulnt work?
How do i get Spl 3?

When you install stock ROM 3.14 correctly it will upgrade automatically your SPL version to 3.03!
But it seems fore one ore a other reason it didn't do it correctly.
Connect your device by active sync, and run "RUU_Leo_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.3" as administrator, to install it again.
I don't know from where you get the original stock ROM; but to be sure download it again: RUU_Leo_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.3
I have no idea why it is still not working getting the same error as before, the only ROM that will install is the one that is not in english
I wont work it still gives me the same error as before invalid vendor .....
I dont know how to fix this i just want a stock ROM in english....

Sir did you listen/follow my previous instructions!!!???
You can't install a WWE stock ROM (3.14.413.2) on your Taiwanese device (x.XX.707.x) you need to use the GoldCard!!!
It didnt work, it still gives error and i tried the goldcard way but it doesn't load anything i quickly flashes a screen that says loading and then it goes back to the boot loader and just stays there.....

I have the impression that you are doing something that's isn't correct.
Lot of peoples who I know have used the Goldcard technique; and all without issues.
Ended up getting the goldcard to work (Used a different SD Card)....
However it STILL comes up with the same error. (If I try flashing wwe Asia from the sd card, it says " Not Allowed")
We have previously used all sorts or ROMs on this phone... but the same ROMs now seem to be giving this Vendor Error... It just doesnt make sense...

[Q] Problem moving back to WinMo6.5 after Andriod

I've searched about trying to fix this on my own, but i have a feeling i may have caused more of a problem.
so trying to move back from android with a HSPL, i managed to install the original rom, but couldn't get rid of the CotullaHSPL when i flashed the new via USB.
so i looked for a Radio fix and ended up using the RUU_SIGNED.nbh radio from the same pack i used to install the rom
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
Radio i am on now is the SPL-3.03.000 XE.
So after i installed it it says "software update failed, please try again."
attempted to try boot and keeps saying the same thing. Went into MAGDLR to try and reinstall the same Radio again after a soft reset and it comes up with 00028002 with NOT ALLOWED underneath this error number.
i attempted to reinstall is the rom, but not it just keeps stopping and telling me i cannot.
Any help on this would be amazing, not sure whether i should try a task28/29 or whether there is a simple fix to this problem.
i didn't install the rom off the SD card, but i did install the Radio off the SD card.
it needs to go back to the original rom so i can claim warranty because of the touchscreen!
Thanks guys and i hope this was enough detail for someone to step in and help me and maybe someone else at the same time!

hspl thread, post 1, hspl can only be removed by flashing stock rom from SD card or by using the hspl.exe utility.
so i looked for a Radio fix and ended up using the RUU_SIGNED.nbh radio from the same pack i used to install the rom

that's the whole rom radio and spl, not just a radio. It will have flashed the radio when you did the USB flash.
Radio i am on now is the SPL-3.03.000 XE.

that's not a radio, that's spl 3.03.0000 which goes with 3.14 roms.
So after i installed it it says "software update failed, please try again."

the leoimg.nbh you mentioned can't be from the rom you posted. I'm gonna assume (because the outcome would be what you have now) that you flashed a stock 3.14 rom from SD, and step 1 is hspl being replaced by the stock spl for that rom, , in this case 3.03.0000,, then the phone reboots to start the flash, but because hspl has gone only the stock roms that match your phone will work, hence getting flash failed.
attempted to try boot and keeps saying the same thing. Went into MAGDLR

can't flash from magldr, I assume you mean bootloader,, coloured stripey screen.
to try and reinstall the same Radio again after a soft reset and it comes up with 00028002 with NOT ALLOWED underneath this error number. i attempted to reinstall is the rom, but not it just keeps stopping and telling me i cannot.

because its the wrong rom and there's no hspl to bypass the check.

yes, get correct stock rom, flash it from SD, done.
i didn't install the rom off the SD card, but i did install the Radio off the SD card.

Correct stock rom. Must match country and provider, example mines from o2 UK, so only o2 UK stock roms can be used.
The rom you posted the name of, see it says "HTC wwe" well the HTC bit means it's unbranded, example bought from carphone warehouse. If your phone came from o2, it would say o2 wwe
Oh and forget about the radio, it comes with the rom.
Bit off topic but once I've flashed MAGDLR can I ever go back to stock WinMO 6.5. I f'ed up and didn't SIM unlock my phone before I started hacking it up ( Hard SPL & MAGDLR)
