any information why after I flashed 2.5.0.1-streak-clockworkrecovery ,the device can not update using the 2nd choice in recovery update using update.pkg on SD card ?
help pls
It't pretty simple! You've installed CWM! The Recovery partition is different now and the software that flashes the pkg files was there! To flash a pkg file You will have to flash original DELL recovery via fastboot!

Mod recovery (like 2.5.0.1 ...) is for flash Custom Rom (Cook Rom, like StreakDroid 1.6 DJ ...)
Only Stock Recovery recognize Stock Update.pkg, but can not be used for Cook Rom

guys at the moment baseband CANNOT BE FLASHED VIA xRECOVERY... u have to use flashtool for it...
only roms/themes can be flashed via xrecovery...
also after flashing baseband u do not need to wipe anything IF you will be using the SAME rom... in case u want to use a DIFFERENT rom only then wipe data/cahe/dalvik...
i am using falsh tool again but this time it stucks on PREPARING FILES FOR FLASHING i am trying to flash the latest ,any help would be nice..
How are you flashing. The baseband should have .ftf extension. Put that ftf file in the firmware folder of your flash tool and then flash and connect ur phone in flashing mode.

Flash back to 2.3.3 stock ROM and then root via latest version of flashtool. You're permanently unlocked so don't worry. After root, flash doom's kernel/bootmanager via flashtool (unlocked bootloader kernels can only be flashed via flashtool), then flash disired ROM recovery. It's cake bro, trust.
trying right away
Let me know how it goes or if you need assistance.

Do you mean that you can't see any contents of the sd card when you're in recovery?
If so, then remove the battery and eject the micro sd card. My x10 has the same problem periodically because I've dropped it several times. But once you insert the micro sd card pack into its slot, you should be mounted when you turn it back on..

JITv2 couldn't be installed
I tried to install JITv2 from xrecovery but it says that the script binary is not compatible with CWM v5 thought it's v2 of JIT...
so anyway to install JIT or a new package compiled compatible with CWM v5?
Thanks..

Long story short, I tried to update to Cyanogenmod 11 but things didn't go well. I'm currently stuck in ClockworkMod Recovery (v6.0.1.2). I tried updating ClockworkMod to the latest version so I can flash Cyanogenmod 11 but I can't see the new ClockworkMod .IMG file on my sd card / external storage. I can only see zip files. I'm not sure what to do. Please help!

did you use odin for flashing stock? flash stock firmware
Yes I did switched to stock Rom through Odin and the phone is working but software update downloads but when the time comes for installation it goes into bootmode and says installation aborted. Could you pls tell me that if I am using a custom Rom that is installed by philz recovery "install zip from ext card " then how to switch back to stock Rom using Odin.
