It's really weak compared to other phones I've owned in the past. Is there a way to boost the power?
Thanks

AFAIK, increasing the Vibration levels reduces battery life. Correct me if I'm wrong
Edit: You can use "CallVibrate" from the market. I've not tried it but it seems it will work out for you.
LOL this reminds me of my.... I forgot the name, it was an old Alcatel with monochrome screen that used to vibrated louder than it's speaker if it was on a table while vibrating )

Hi! Nexus Guys
See this:.. 1267 [email protected] Kernel 100 % stable at our devices
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682419
If the desire easily can handle it why the nexus not ? @ 1.3 V some HW/Chip changes ?
is this working on your devices ( the 0x21 Line @ 1.3V)?
I installed this kernel. This kernel work @1133MHz and WiFi not work

1.3V is not sufficient voltage for the N1, not at the higher frequencies. Dunno why Desire does, don't have one....

I understand the voltage not being sufficient, but can we push the voltage a little higher?
Yes I understand the risks of frying your chip and all, but is it possible?
And the Desire has a lot of different hardware compared to the Nexus, such as the TPA2018 speaker amplifier which gives it its louder audio, and hardware keys. People seem to forget that it is a different device, they don't have the same hardware

Changing the regulator voltage has been done despite being a completely stupid idea - it's not very hard but if you can't figure it out check out Gr8Gorilla's posts as he's (controversially) documented the process.
I've never understood the appeal - it's not a show of ability since it's just luck as to which silicon you got, and it's not achieving much... but some people like frying phones for some reason.
100% stable? Crazy, I had my N1 running 1.267ghz and I could use the phone for about 15 seconds and it would reboot. I think I was at 1.35V though.
0x21 absolutely does not work with stability on most most N1s, no matter how much voltage you pump in.
0x22+ should not even work on the qsd8x50 without really low level tweaks that nobody but Qualcomm knows how to do. It might be impossible.

any thoughts?
thanks.

Don't know why it would hurt. Have at it. Just make a nandroid before you attempt.

I did it for my S3 but for Sprint, havent really seen any difference yet.
have never been impressed with these script packs......they seem to do minimal to everyday tasks....I honestly feel they are mostly snake oil. they appear good in theory but have never had a positive experience with them

you can lulz all you want, but they only made marginal improvements and over time they actually degraded and caused problems.....been doing this a long time so it's not like I was doing it wrong all the time...and I gave it plenty of a fair chance.....I don't say things like that about a developers work after only giving it a "lulz" effort.....so no offense....but most of it was placebo and could only be seen on synthetic benchmarks even when it did work
lulz because you're comparing apples and oranges... you don't even know what SuperCharger is... and it really has no effect on benchmarks.
Kick Ass Kernel should but not SuperCharger.

The v6 script was originally developed for the milestone, which, now, is terribly outdated. However, from what I can tell, it improves performance on lower end devices (512mb RAM 700mhz~ processor). Our higher end devices with 1GB+ RAM and 1Ghz+ cpus mainly just produce the placebo effect or only marginal improvements in performance.

Thats what they said about 512 mb devices too.
Here's the cycle... hardware improves... then the OS and it's apps get more bloated.
You know... kinda like how nature hates a vaccuum so it always gets filled...
Or the effect of inflation on wages... sure... wages go up... but buying power stays the same...
etc... etc... lol

True. But there is always that slight lag between hardware updates and software updates where the new hardware doesn't need any improvements to run the software significantly better than the old hardware.
If only the manufacturers would stop throwing money into upgrading hardware and put that money into better, more elegant software development, then the older hardware would be supportable longer. Sadly, its never going to happen.

i don't want to start anything, because I appreciate anything done to improve performance on these devices, but i know one thing....every time it is mentioned in a post or a signature....it's sold as this super duper chromed up be all end all solution that is going to "supercharge" your android experience. it doesn't matter if I don't know what it is because my knowledge of what it is has nothing to do with "how awesome it is".....it's sold as this ultimate thing that makes **** faster....it has this huge following...and it's got this fancy signature logo and all these options and it's advertised as being oh so great.....and then I used it......
for me, across a couple different devices, that hasn't happened at all, not even close, it didn't even do that in one particular situation......it just really didn't do anything for any of my android devices.....unfortunately...it actually degraded performance over time......i'll leave it at that
I can tell you were probably using update 8 or at the very least... a VERY long time ago
Well thanks.

Well because I want to increase my battery life and I'm kinda trying to experiment. And dual core because IMO quad core phones don't generally give a huge performance increase in the Real World. The best examples I can think of are the Moto X and iPhone 5s. So that is why.

why not trying it instead of creating a new simple thread?
It might bump your batt. tiny bit.

hahaha lol you do have a point.
I was just being lazy and wanted an opinion.
I actually see no point on disabling 2 CPU core for a (maybe?) battery boost.
You may tweak something else... like watching with BetterbatteryStats which app/something-else is forcing your phone into awake state.
Or trying a (little) undervolt => watch out for instabilities!
You can also try a different governor, like zzmoove with a battery-friendly preset (if your kernel exposes that function/feature)
Hi ! Is it normal that the display to consume so much energy ?
I still have this amount of battery cuz i haven't use it,but yestarday with open 3g and whatsapp i got only 8-9 hours of use. Is it normal ?

Normal is as normal does, it all depends on what your doing. If your not using cpu intensive tasks then yes I would expect the screen to consume the lions share of the battery.

If you use your phone as you say here then as ghostofcain says, yes your screen usage will be the highest, if you don't use your phone much then Android OS should be the highest.
If u wan ur battery to last longer, set the brightness manually. Don't use auto brightness. And dun go to places with low signal. Try to use wifi too. Basic battery saving tips.

Anyone know if ROM Toolbox Pro will work for underclocking the Z3v? Also what settings would one recommend that would help increase battery life, decrease heat, without compromising performance too much? Thanks in advance.

I posted the exact same thing on my thread about battery saving tips with root. I use Trickster ROM though.
Use to use SetCPU and had good luck with it don't know if it is still maintained, of course used it to overclock not underclock but it can do that too.

Oh the days of overclocking! Processors are fast enough these days. No sense heating up the phone, killing the battery, & no need for the extra speed like in the days of the OG Droid. No need to slow it down though either, but I guess it would be nice to have extra battery life & a colder phone.
Haven't used SetCPU in a long time. I know it didn't work with my Droid2 & I had to switch to a different app. Always wanted to play with the one in ROM Toolbox guess it is time to start. Hell I paid for the app let's do it right?
