I cant send texts on my x10a after rooting and flashing TW V008 ROM. It just stays at sending. I cant recieve any either. Any help?
First off you should try posting in the right section
What baseband are you on? Assuming you're on AT&T. Had same issue. Best for me is base band 67 with kernel from 65 (if you're not using custom kernel)
Gimme some more info.
Edit: (dammit Pawnty beat me....)
@Pawny, if youre not going to help, just dont post
And @andrew .. Yes i am on at&t. Im using baseband 2.1.65 .. maybe thats the problem?

Try this.
Flash it in recovery and lemme know if it helps.
If not, then you may want to try a complete wipe and clean install. AT&T is a ***** with the SMS on custom ROMs. Kinda hit-or-miss.
I think that the x10a has something different going on than the x10i.
Trip noticed a difference over in da neederlands with a x10a replacing his x10i.
Dunno what it could be.

Didnt work :/ okay so i wipe everything, flash the rom, then flash this? and continue with the steps on the launcher, browser, etc?
Or should i change my baseband?
Try changing to BB67 first. Then if it still doesn't work, then I'd try the wipe.
Are you using a custom kernel?
Im on EWJET using: FINAL and STABLE REALEASE(no WLOD and still performance improved) - ewX.tweaks.xkernel.X9e zKernel | 2.6.29

Really? I never noticed an issue with my MMS on AT&T... As long as you are on a baseband your ROM will recognize (or you use the baseband patch) you should be fine.
My advice would be to check your baseband (options>about phone) and make sure it is one your ROM is ok with (check the ROM's thread).

dude, why don't you think about it ? x10a obviously. you have an x10a, so you flash x10a firmware. if you have an x10i, you will flash x10i fw.
now OT: MODs, please move.

No need to be like that.
I've run all sorts of firmware on my x10a. (were also talking about basebands, not firmware) It's not like there is a definite and obvious solution for these problems as you try to make it sound. Not all ROMs are compatible with x10a basebands and vice-versa with x10i.
Move to proper forum.

I can strongly recommend Wolfbreaks CM V4.3. That is a fantastic ROM and hasn't caused me any issues.
I find it much better than FreeX10 Beta4

What baseband are you on??
Try letting the boot screen loop run for a few minutes. I recently reinstalled wolf's CM2.2 again and it looped a good 6 or so times before actually loading up.
Also make sure that you are on the latest firmware, Wolf's rom requires it
EDIT:: lol I don't know why my post was so late.. guess all the questions were answered.

Ok, im on .54 as well and the ROM works awesome. no need to change your baseband to flash that ROM. Just download the proper files.
Hi, and to begin with sorry I can't post in dev section, no enough messages yet...
So my X10 failed since I tried another rom. Ok, so I went back to X10 2.1 official, then I rooted, installed busbox, xRecovery...
Well, let's try a new rom. I chose the TripNRaver Arc rom 2.3 gingerbread. Then I flashed the .49 baseband as asked in his topic, however I have infinite loop reboot. But it boots to PIN number asked, I see the phone find the network, so I think baseband is not the problem... But I'm not pro.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Sorry, my English is not perfect since I'm french.
Thank you

It should crash a few times.
But if it continues to do that you may have the same problem i have.
My x10i won't run that rom at all.
Can you try bb 52?
Try to crash system server a few times. If that's not working you should reflash stock firmware with flashtool, reroot, xrec and so on. Then reflash bb49 and reinstall the Rom. Good Luck

I've always wondered this too. I'm no developer and also have no idea how it works. But I always wondered why they never developed for the newer basebands. Is it harder or something?
Just out of curiosity.
I really don't understand why still so many people asking in the wrong section....the search function the most powerful tool here...I always find my answers by using it.....

Please don't just request a ROM and a special kernel on a special baseband.
The devs here are GODS and when they develop af kernel that works on a specific baseband I am sure they will release it here
ATM I am on Wolfbreaks Froyo with stock kernel and it work flawlessly.

baseband 49 gives better radio and signal is always strong.
baseband 58 eats alot of battery and doesnt give good stability for custom roms.

i know the Dev here are gods, it is just a question, i search everytime, my questen is just why you use only bb.49 oder .54 but not .58?
The kernels that are being developed are only working on basebands .49 and .52 if it was possible for them to get the kernels working on .54 .55 and .58 it would be big news
I'm sure no one is bothered really as it takes 2 mins Max to flash a new baseband
So no offence buddy but be patient, it may never come at all or maybe when 2.3.3 comes but who cares as long as we can use them in general
And please next time post in Q&A

Hello guys,
I flashed my X10 to [ROM] [25-05] TripNMiUI "Iris" 1.1.0 Froyo, downloaded here in XDA. So, now my phone don't stop rebooting.
There says that custom kernels are not supported, so, I've tried to do it with cutom and stock kernels.
BB version in phone shows "unknown", can be it the problem??
My bb is .52, this rom works on .49 and .52, so it can't be a problem.
Could you help me?
Thanks.
maybe u can try flash your baseband to .49 with flashtool and reinstall trips custom rom with xrecovery?

I flashed again with .52 and it half works...
Now 3G data doesn't communicate. =/

i have this issue aswell even i use crashed the server i still did not get any signal :S
I had the same issue with that rom. I had the use the sony software and restore it, root it, reflash it and import all my apps again. After that all was great.
On the plus side using the phone in standard mode just reminded how much trips roms has made the x10. Without trip and the gang in xda this phone would have been on ebay months ago!

Hi, welcome to XDA developers!
I'll try and help as much as possible...
Which kernel are you on? Stock or some custom kernel?
Thank you, I use Stock Rom, I thing it's Stock kernel. I tried to test many of the original Rom but the situation has not improved.
Another problem is that after many tests, I found only when using GoogleMaps with 3G, the machine I was reboot, if used with wifi is fine. So is 3G is the problem? but I still surf the Web using 3G normally without any problems. Hope your help!

Hi, it might be baseband problem, maybe baseband .71 isn't for you... Try this:
9Lukas5 said:
- Baseband 2.1.67
- smsBB67 patch
- Kernel upgrade
flashing procedure:
-The baseband and the kernel upgrade must be placed in the firmwares folder from flashtool and the sms patch on to the sdcard.
-After you have flashed the rom and the xrecovery now also flash the sms patch before remove the battery.
-In Flashtool flash first the 2.1.67 Baseband, after flashing finished, remove usb cable and select the kernel upgrade and connect the usb again when flashtool asks.
-After both (bb and kernel upgrade) flashed, you can remove the usb-cable and power on the device with everything working on bb 2.1.67.
