I plug my motorola atrix with hdmi cable on my tv and i can t do nothing. I have hdmi plug in my notification bar. The pop up come and i must choose webtop or divertissment center. So i can t because the tactile don t work or when it work randomly with a delay like 30sec. So i don t find anyone who have the same issue.

Whenever I plug in my atrix's hdmi cable into my laptop or tv it does absolutely nothing! No matter what I install gingerblur with add ons, 4.1.57 webtop fix etc. I've tried it all and nothing works! Any ideas of what the problem could be? Shouldn't I get a popup or something when I plug in the hdmi cable? Do you think my port is broken? Anyway to test for sure? Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
May just need to launch Webtop Connector manually. I don't get the auto detection pop up anymore either, but I haven't looked into it to be honest.
Take it to your local at&t store and try their dock. If it works or even recognizes the phone, you know it's just software. If it doesn't work, ask where your local DSC is and they'll swap it out for you under warranty (just flash back to stock first)
EDIT: the HDMI on your laptop should be out only, no input. Make sure the TV is on the HDMI input. Without voltage going to the phone, it won't know it's connected, and most TV's turn off the hdmi ports that aren't in use.
Thanks alot! Thats exactly what it was! it won't work on the laptop because of the type of hdmi port it is! When I hooked it up to the tv on a main hdmi port it actually works! I'm running gingerblur with the addon pack by the way. This has had me stumped I really appreciate the help! thanks again!
In the last month, I'm not sure when, my phone has ceased being able to connect to a PC via USB. Before I call Dell and request a new unit, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about software causes?
I'm running 2.2.2 (351/354) and was curious if this could be anything other than a hardware problem.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. Instead of asking to connect via USB as an external drive, Dell Sync is waiting to connect.
Glad I'm not the only one. Three questions:
1. Which OS build are you running?
2. Have you used any third party connectors?
3. Have you ever had problems with the streak not seeming to take a charge?
I'll be most likely seeing about getting a replacement model, but would love to see if there's something I can do to avoid this in the future.
Both of these happened to me at the same time. I freaked at the idea that it wouldn't charge more than the USB connection, obviously. Later that same afternoon it started working on its own and has been fine for a couple of weeks now.
It happened off my computer with the stock cable and continued in the car with my H/U and an aftermarket cable on the way to work.
I had the same problem. I even bought a new usb cable and no luck. So I did a factory reset and now the usb connection is working again. To reset power off device, Hold down both the volume up and down button then press and hold the power button and a reset screen appears. Use the volume buttons to navigate and the camera button to select.( IF you can Back-up your apps and settings first)
(Update) It worked one time and now the problem has returned. I did a factory restore twice and no luck. At least I can still charge the battery.
I just got the photon and hd station got it home and connected it to my rca flat screen tv's hdmi and when I touch webtop it goes to a blue screen that says unsupported but I can play all day with it on mirror phone on display "PLEASE HELP"
What is saying "unsupported"? The TV or the phone? Sounds like it might be some type of TV setting that needs to be changed. Do you know anyone with an HDMI capable monitor that you could test it on and see if it works?
If you can, try to narrow it down to which device is causing the issue, whether it is the flatpanel, dock, or phone. Will be easier to troubleshoot.
Also, just an FYI, sometimes the Webtop is funny. Last night I plugged my phone/dock into flatpanel that has run with Webtop before and I couldn't even get the Webtop option to come up. Then plugged it in this morning at work and it came up no problem.
Post back with more info and I'm sure someone can offer more insight.
I have a problem: when i put my phone onto the HD dock the phone recognizes the dock and the hdmi cord, asks me if i want to use the webtop or the entertainment center. I choose one of them i got nothing on the screen. The tv's hdmi works fine (with my laptop for e.g). i tried with a different cord, but nothing changed. i made a video of it (sorry for the quality): [i can't post urls, so if you're interested search on youtube for Motorola Atrix 4G HD dock probably faulty. Thanks]
Please help me, i don't know the solution. I have googled after it almost for a week!
I have Motorola MB860, at&t branded Atrix 4G, but it is unlocked, i use it in Europe. Got the latest firmware (OTA). Unrooted, unmodified.
Thanks

add: the hdmi just doesn't work without the hd dock. i attach the hdmi cord to the phone and select entertainment center, and i get blank screen on the tv.
select a different input on the TV perhaps?
I have like 6 different inputs on my TV and I had to go through each one and wait a little bit to make sure the signal kicked in.
I know it was connected through the HDMI port, but I still had to cycle through the inputs to get it to appear.
still weird
thanks for your answer. i didn't checked it, but i had an lg optimus 2x (p990) and with the lg's hdmi port worked correctly. i know i should wait a little bit, i have been waited for 3 minutes! so i'm starting to think my phone's hdmi wrong. can i test it somehow?
whats ur webtop version?
it is WT-1.2.0-110_OLY-6
System version is 4.5.141.MB860.ATT.en.US
Hi everyone. I just got my RAZR and have been fairly impressed with it, a big upgrade from my old SE X10.
I ran into a couple of issues though... I couldn't use the camera (no visual input from the camera, just black with the camera app overlay), and there seems to be a persistent HDMI alert, even though I haven't got a cable plugged in.
A factory wipe allowed the camera to function, but the HDMI menu is still there.
Any ideas?
I'm having the same HDMI issue. Seems to do it mostly when some form of media is running (XM radio app for me) and you move the orientation of the phone. Only started doing this recently though. A couple days. Coincidently around the first time I actually used the HDMI out. Any help would be great as this menu is very annoying and doesn't need to be running.
Sent from my DROID RAZR using XDA
I talked to Rogers and they're sending me a new device. It seems if i press lightly on the "M" in Motorola, the menu goes away. Must be a loose connection.
Ok, scratch that. It's doing it all the time now. It goes in and out of thinking an HDMI cable is connected. Also, it seems like since this has been happening my once great battery life is now diminishing, and is running slower, lags in answering phone calls, and also the camera issue is happening... but only when it thinks an HDMI cable is on.
On an interesting side note. it seems i've found a sweet spot. When I press on the edge of the phone directly above the two tiny light sensors under the "M" it goes away. When I release it, it immediately thinks the cable is connected. I can only assume that it's a bad connection on that port to the main board. I've never used the HDMI out until about a week ago and that's when the problem started.
