Multitouch in MiniCM ROMs is completely broken. - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

I tried a few different roms, and the multitouch is completely broken in all of them.
Now, I was wondering, is the multitouch on the X10 Mini broken by default or it should work?
While single touch works perfectly on my device, multitouch is broken. I tried the multitouch tester program from Market and while the first touch point is always pretty much right, the second one jumps all over the place. Moving both fingers at once doesn't work and results in both points jumping all over the screen. Games that require multitouch (like Slice It) are unplayable. Pinch to Zoom (that imo is way inferior to the old way of zooming from the stock rom) barely works at all, and it completely unprecise.
Is it my screen (or digitizer, whatever it's called) borked or it's the multitouch on this device impossible to have working right?

Multitouch is NEVER EVE EVER EVER possible on the X10 Mini as it is since the digitizer doesn't support it. it only supports single touch and some kind of pinch zoom, but that's it. No way in hell The X10 Mini can support Multiouch unless you switch hardware.
HOWEVER!! The X10 Mini PRO supports dualtouch at max, thanks to its Cypress Truetouch 3 digitizer.

Then why do they keep adding that fake dualtouch support in MiniCM roms for the X10 mini? It doesn't even work. I'm not an expert on programming or whatever, but I feel like with all the efforts they probably put into creating the "fake dualtouch" for the X10 Mini they could have ported the Zoom function of the stock picture viewer to other apps that used zoom instead of that absurd pinch to zoom.
Of course I don't want to insult the developers, but I feel like their efforts were wasted as it's pretty much unusable.

2 kinds of dt moduals bet you have outher 1 look into it

It works fine on certain apps, for example, on Opera, it works fine for me, but on Google Maps, it is impossible to use it.

E10i supports multitouch

http://se-blog.com/exclusive-x10-mini-supports-multi-touch/
I hope these are great news for owners
Great finding!!
But to have multitouche we all need the 2.1 so... until the end of the year it will be all the same.
But, really... the x10 mini was designed to be a one and operated phone, so the multi-touch only be interesting on web navigation maybe...
SE thought it would be just one handed, but not everyone thought that way. I like playing drums, piano etc and would love to have multitouch

[Q] quick question on multitouch

i've been google-ing and xda-ing for the past hour
i had my eye on this phone for a while
when i heard it didn't have multitouch, i decided that i didn't want it
i read on engadget and stuff that there will be an update for it that will enable it
if i root it, will i be able to get multitouch?
if so, which roms support multitouch?
sorry, i'm pretty sure this has been asked numerous times
all roms have dualtouch but its very buggy (crossing axis problems). Its good for pinch zoom and most games

When do I get multi-touch(perfect)???

please
I really wish the multi-touch.
many developers listen to me.
althogh i don't well grammer, but you will understand my opinion.
love x10mini,love x10mini developrers.
Thank you~~!
In short: Never
In long: Xperia X10 mini digitizer supports ONLY 1 finger, it means only one finger touch will be registred correctly. You have to get used to with faked dual touch.
Also, you are under from subforum and please...use a damn search.
If multitouch means 2 fingers to you, then check this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009008&highlight=dual+touch
But if you want 3 fingers or more, it's currently not available
OH, and tell me, WHY DO YOU NEED MORE THAN 2 FINGERS???
You can pinch and zoom, play emulators, etc.
Unless you're playing pocket legends hardcore and really wanna damage your phone

[Q] Sketchbook Pro Screen All Scrambled

Hi I just did Globatron's HC upgrade and tried to install Sketchbook Pro. Everything looks fine until I try to draw, the screen is all scrambled. Like there is a issue with resolution or something. Is anyone else having this issue? Any solution? Fresco works but I'm looking for Pressure Sensitivity and SKetchbook seems like the only good App for Sketching. Any Suggestion?

I never had SBP working on HC leak 1 or 2 or 3. You did?
yeah it doesn't seem to work for me too. Can you at least install it? I got it to install with menu and options, it's just when I try to draw when the screen goes nuts. Looks like it's a screen resolution issue of some sort. I have a screen shot I'm going to send to them.
I have loaded it with no problem on each of the three HC leak ROMs and it opened fine and all navigation throughout app worked too. Like you, I get the wonky input distortion when using the stylus. I don't believe I ever tried if finger input worked. I just immediately uninstalled and loaded SB Mobile.
Sketchbook Mobile Pro is working good for me. The one for larger tablets won't though....requires higher resolution. It is not just a matter of OS, but also screen resolution....
are you talking about Sketchbook mobile? I know that works. Just emailed AutoCAD about SB pro and they think it maybe pen related. I think it is a screen resolution issue personally. But lets see how far I get with tech support, I sent them a screen shot. But in the mean time I happy with Sketchbook mobile and fresco app. Hope we can get SB pro working.
To my dismay, Sketchbook Pro performs as you say. Everything looks fine until you try and draw and then the canvas goes crazy.
The problem with Sketchbook mobile is it doesn't support pressure sensitivity, which makes it pointless, imho.
I feel like I'm back at square one. First I had the flyer on GB and couldn't get pressure sensitivity to work. Now that I have HC and the pen works everywhere, pressure sensitivity doesn't work in SKP.
Also, pressure sensitivity does not work in Photoshop Touch either. I wonder if HTC is doing something extra with their pen stuff that overrides Android's pen implementation.
i think its our screen size. And sketchbook pro didn't put into account 7" tabs with scribe pens. Hopefully it should be a easy fix for them. I think the app works its just not calibrated for our screen.

THERE IS NO ANDROID PEN SUPPORT folks. The pen works in drawing apps on the HTC HC because it mimics your finger. HC has no built-in pen support. HTC added it. If an app needs something that your finger can't do using the pen then the app has to know about the HTC styus SDK.
Sketchbook Pro draws with pressure sensitivity on the HTC jetstream so I'm not sure I follow.
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using Tapatalk
Well clearly most apps don't work like that, and its not built-in on HC, so my guess is that the app developer has software that reads the type of digitizer that is present and uses the manufacturer's API libraries to provide functions. In this case HTC's Digital Stylus SDK, which is open source and available on HTC's website.
Therefore the problems that show up in the app and when you try to run apps built for the Levono because there is no built-in standard software to support the pen hardware in Android. ICS takes a step in that directions with some pen primitives in the API, but the apps will have to be re-written to work with those ICS functions, they are not the same as HTC or Levono API.

Well it doesn't even work with finger. I would think with or without the HTC scribe pen you should be able todraw with it. To me it looks like the app is having issue with our screen size versus the larger 10" tablets this and other apps are design to run on. Don't even think it was ever an exclusive for Lenovo. Anyways so it looks like there is suppose to be SB Pro for android version 2.0. Been talking to tech support at autodesk and it should solve our problems, hopefully. Waiting on their reply on how I can get it since market doesn't show the updated version yet, still version 1.0. if anything turns up i'll let you guys know.
Update :
Looks like SB pro version should be releasing soon. They gave me no timetable but said it won't be long. I'm hoping for a happy holidays.
Sketchbook Pro goes 2.0
Just wanted to let you all know that Sketchbook Pro has gone version 2.0 and now works with the pressure sensitive Flyer!
If you own it, go get the update. It's worth it.
For those that dont' own it, go buy it because it's on sale for .99c
Great that SPB is now showing Flyer love. Nice companion to Photoshop Touch. SPB pressure sensitivity on Flyer does uncover the Flyer's lesser sensitivity levels than say the Lenovo Thinkpad. For my uses, the Flyer reads sensitivity in SBP well enough
Hell yeah, that's a nice surprise. It's nice how they really are keeping to their word, unlike some tablet manufacturer(s). This indeed makes a great companion to touch, here is hoping to Adobe stepping up and making it for our flyer(lower Resolution). I'm also interested in Adobe Ideas, would be nice to get it working properly on the Flyer. I decided to to a little digging and menu isn't compatible with the smaller screen resolution. Still sort of workable, but a enjoyable experience.

Yeah...Ideas not too workable for me on Flyer like in is on my Xoom and assume it is on a Puccini or Thinkpad. PST + SBP = productivity tool for basic creative tasks on Android slates >>> finally!
I was under the impression that the stylus pressure sensitivity for SBP 2.0 works, but it doesn't... for me at least.
you need to check the preference inside the program to allow the pressure sensitivity to work. If you hit the "i" goto preference.

Does anyone know of another option (other than the Market) to buy this app?
Because of some unknown charges, I closed my Google Wallet account and have been unable to find it any place.

[Q] Dual touch problem

Ok guys, is it just me that this the dual touch in our beloved X10 is wrong?
Because, when i play some dual touch games like NOVA, with one finger on my virtual joystick and the other for aiming , but when im moving and aiming at the same time , the aim goes wild and not precise at all, for instance, i move forward and try to aim to the right but end up aiming top right or bottom right :S ?
anyone other have this problem?
or could it be the screen protector?

No, it's not screen protector. The X10 hardware doesn't allow you to do that. We can't do anything about it
You sure this is hardware? Why not something else? I think for example X10 Mini Pro is younger and wasn't flagship device (X10 was) and in M/P guys get fully working DT with Y & X lines cross. Anyone is 100% sure that is hardware, not software? I thought we need to write a driver(s) "only".....
NOVA on mine x10 work fine,i tried modern combact 1 & 2 too,its not a hardware problem,ok,maybe it is in your case..
Sent from my xperia "z10i"
brubutko, to avoid it just don't cross Y & X lines, change controls places and that's all (in games).
