I have installed a lot of widgets....but when i press on screen->widgets and scroll for widgets i do not see all of the widgets installed. I see few and i am sure i do not have them moved to SD. Is there a number of limit we have for widgets installed. Any help would be welcome....
Try wipe dalvik cache and fix permission from recovery.

I upgraded the device from KG2 which was rooted to KG3 non wipe version from Intratech and I noticed I am unable to install widgets or edit them. Rather I would say I do not get the option when I tap on the screen.
What could be the issue ?
Any HELP on this will be much appreciated.

Hey thanks that was helpful. It works fine and as mentioned need to redo adding widgets again.
Hi
I am on cm 7.1 using launcherpro/adw launcher. Whenever the launcher crashes and loads again or whenever the phone reboots, all the widgets on home screens (I am using "people" and "3D digital weather clock") show "problem loading widget". Then I have to remove and add them again every time and have to configute the settings of these widgets again. Is there a solution to this?

That's the reason I asked . You could try clearing the launcher's cache.
Trash the widget and reload them. This happens to me too sometimes after rebooting. Not sure if its from using S2E.
Same here. All widgets show "Problem loading".
Note: I did not move any apps to SD.
Try this:
Boot in recovery, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, ***FIX PERMISSIONS***, and then reboot the device. Create the widgets on your workspaces from the beginning. After you reboot, they should still be there. If some are there and some are not, try repeating the procedure once more.
Hi there, I have problem with widgets too. I have HTC Desire Bravo with built in froyo 2.2. I use ADW launcher but I had this same problem with FTL launcher.
I have rooted phone with ADW moved to SD but my widgets are installed in internal memory (since I read somewhere that I should try to move them back). I unistalled and installed widget back into phone. The problem is that this problem is with power management widget, too, and it's built in.
I tried to boot in recovery in revolutionary - wiped cache, wipe dalvik cache, fixed permissions ,rebooted , set up back widget rebooted and still had this same error. In sense everything works.
I wanted to try this option posted by @ffwalrus http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357009&page=2
Open Root Explorer
Browse to /system
Click Mount R/W button
Navigate to /data/app ......but I stuck at this step Navigate to /data/app since I couldn't find it within the list of folder. I found only system/app and not system/data/app although I have added superuser permission to root browser.
Long Press launcher APK file (for me it was com.gau/go/launcherex-1.apk)
Choose Move
Navigate to /system/app
Press Paste button
Long Press freshly pasted APK file
Choose Permissions
Check all the top 9 checkboxes (Read, Write, Execute for Owner, Group, Others), leave all others as they are.
Press OK
Navigate to /system
Press Mount R/O button
Restart Nook
Please don't tell me to move my ADW to internal memory since the main reason I rooted my phone was moving all apps to SD since internal memory is extremely low in my phone.
Another problem I'm having is that after each restart of my phone my phone load to sense and the dialog pop up after few action ""complete action using...adw or sense" even if I put there option to do this automatically next time.Does anyone have this problem with launchers?
Thx for replies,
Martina
Make sure whichever launcher you are using is not on the SD card. I had the same problem with go launcher as soon as I moved it to my SD. I moved it back to phone and haven't had the problem since.
Hi
So as the title says, the thing went like:
- I use checkrom revolution from some time now (currently at v4)
- I tried ICS remix rom from westcrip I think it was v7.3 no-wipe. I did't do a backup, this was my mistake
- As it was not as good for a daily use, I reflashed checkrom
- The shortcut to calendar had changed to something like "app not installed", when I go to add shortcut, calendar doesn't appear in the list
There is a Calendar.apk and CalendarProvider.apk in system/app, if I run it, it launchs an installer but at the end it says "Application not installed"
I know there are lots of calendar apps in market but I liked the default, so I'd like to know if there is a way to get it back :s
Any help will be appreciated

You don't run .apk files in /system/app. If the files are already there, they should be in your app list. If they're NOT in your app list, reboot. If they're still not in your app list, factory reset/data wipe. If they're STILL not in your app list, reflash checkrom.
EDIT: How are you adding the shortcut? Long press on the homescreen, or long press on the icon in your app drawer? Does the calendar show up at all in your app drawer?

Factory reset>flash stock again. BACK UP!!!>flash whichever ROM you like.
Saying "I didn't backup, my mistake" is a pathetic and lame excuse.

It isn't in my app drawer either, I forgot to mention it in the OP, I was doing long press on homescreen. I've rebooted and reflashed checkrom, I was hoping for an option that didn't involve wipe/reset
And when I said I didn't backup was not meant as an excuse, just more information, in case someone asked if I did it / suggested to recover from backup

Wait - are you trying to flash back from ICS to a GB based ROM withOUT wiping? Yeah, as far as I know, that'll never work. You will HAVE to wipe.
EDIT: To be honest, I'm kind of surprised you're not seeing more problems and issues with your phone, if you DIDN'T wipe going from ICS back to GB.
That's right, I flashed back to GB from ICS with just cache/dalvik wipe and everything works fine, the calendar gone is the only problem I have.
Thanks for the answers, I guess I'd have to go with the wipe.

No need to create flashable launcher I got yesterday the same problem!
Mount your Phone to a pc and using adb shell install the new launcher then go and try to catch the new launcher from choose menu and then it will work! This is what I did...

I currently have Verizon S4. I have been using Hyperdrive RLS 3.1 and everything has been great. I then downloaded RLS 4 and when I set the 4x4 calendar widget on the screen, it says "problem loading widget". I have tried re downloading the RLS 4 file twice. I have also tried clearing cache, dalvik cache, fixing permissions. And no, I have not moved my widgets to my SD card. I don't even know how to do so. I have scoured the internet for hours. Why is this widget not working? Further more, why does it crash my TW launcher when trying to load this widget? I am furious and forced to download a new rom. Please help a brother out

Had you read the entire Hyperdrive thread, you'd see this has been discussed many times. Will be fixed in RLS 5.
