I have ES File Explorer (1.6.0.7). I also have ES Bookmark Manager. The star in the upper left of the icon bar brings up a screen called 'Favorites', with 'Home', 'Phone', 'My downloads', 'My Pictures' on line 1, and '/mnt/sdcard/' on line 2.
Is there any way to modify the links on this screen? Playing with bookmarks requires hitting [Menu], Manager, Bookmark Manager, Category, <bookmark>, five taps out to get to what I want, which is approaching how long it would take to just navigate to the directory I want manually. I'd like to either set some bookmarks as favorites, set the star to go straight into the bookmark manager, ideally with one category already open, or at the very least modify the links on the favorites screen, as neither 'My Downloads' nor 'My Pictures' go to the correct location for my configuration.
It seems like one of those things that should be really simple, but I can't figure out how to do it.

If, hypothetically speaking of course, I had some pictures in a folder containing a .nomedia folder to hide them from Album, is there a way to use them as wallpaper? I have tried setting the wallpaper using Astro as the selector instead of album and I can browse to the image and select it but then it freezes and never gets to the screen where you crop the paper. Also, even when using "normal" images, I have noticed that when I go to change the wallpaper it will hang after I "Select wallpaper from" Pictures, necessitating me pressing the back key and having to restart the process. It always starts the second time but is quite slow.
Any ideas?
I think you can use those pics as wallpaper by browsing to them with a filemanager....
Then just push on the photo and select the menu button in the lower left corner.
Select set to background...
That should work...
Is it possible to put a folder shortcut in the quick links menu such as games folder or office mobile? It would be a lot more convenient to have just the folder instead of each game put up and would save space. I am using cookies home tab btw if that is important at all. I tried searching and didn't come up with anything useful.thanks for the help.

quickly read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=576232
haven't given it a go...care to read and see if it may work?
cheers.
you will need resco explorer for my solution.
1. navigate to the folder you want to add to quicklinks
2. long press on that folder to get a popup
3. select "send to" in the popup
4.at the bottom of the menu you will see "startmenu as a shortcut" choose that
5. go back to sense starting page and press "menu" on the lower right side
6. choose "edit quicklinks"
you will now see that the folder you want to add is already there
hope that helped...
As the subject line shows, can you somehow add a document like (spreadsheet, document, etc..) on your home pages, so that they can be accessed easily?
Yes you can
Just downlod astro file manager (free from the market)
long press on the background>
shortcuts>
astro>
and pick the file to add it as a shortcut
Looking for a folder application that does not pop up a menu button when the folders are open.
On my OG Evo Id have gesture actions for my dock to open up folders made in apps like either http://goo.gl/Wldwa or http://goo.gl/hakGF
The problem on the EVO LTE, is that now when I do the same thing, a menu button pops at the bottom of the screen, which forces a redraw of the UI, and slows the whole experience down.
So does anyone know of a good way around this? Or a folder application that is ICS friendly enough to not pop a menu button when browsing the folders it creates?
I am using APEX launcher, and its folders are wonderful, but cannot be tied to a gesture action, only a spot on the dock...
Simi Folder Widget used to work pretty well for me, but I haven't tried it with quite the scenario you're describing
Simi was no good:

Popped up the menu button, and as well put the folder at the top of the screen.
Go launcher kinda doesn't do the menu on the folder itself, though it does have a line on top with the name of the folder.
Here's a pic I found on images.google.com

Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but it might do
I've been using Application Folder Pro since Gingerbread, also works on Honeycomb and ICS. You can customize the icon, name, the Window that opens when you open the app. Really awesome folder app. You launch Folder Editor from your app drawer, create a folder and add whatever apps into it. Then long press your home screen and add the application folder shortcut. You can select the type of Window that launches when you click on that folder.

Say that I have multiple tabs open, and I want to open a bookmark
page in one of them. I go to Menu > Bookmarks and open the
page I wanted. But what happens is that all the tabs are
automatically closed and I am left with only one tab; the one in
which I opened the bookmark.
Any way to fix it?
