[Q] [Error with SIM card] since UNLOCK bootloader for X10 - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I followed the [HOW-TO]UNLOCK bootloader for X10, and now i cannot use my SIM card : when i put it in the X10, it boot, i have the sony ericsson logo, then i type my PIN number and ... nothing ... blue screen (wallpaper), i cant go anywhere.
I tried many things :
> boot the X10 without SIM card => it's ok, no problem
> i insert the SIM card in an other phone => it's ok
So i :
> Installed 2.3.3 firmware via SEUS => blue screen after type pin code
> Installed 2.1 firmware via Flashtool => blue screen after type pin code
> Installed 1.6 firmware via Flashtool => blue screen after type pin code
> Downgraded Azuzu Kernel => blue screen after type pin code
> Upgraded Azuzu Kernel => blue screen after type pin code
> Installed DooMKernel-v05 => blue screen after type pin code
> I tried qsd8250_semc.cmd => blue screen after type pin code
> Then qsd8250_setool2.cmd => blue screen after type pin code

I have no more idea ... And you ?
Thanks you !!

I have the same problem. No SIM card is detected after unlocking bootloader. Any fix for this?
EDIT:
Well, I finally solved the SIM card problem. I restored the original x10 bootloader, hope it helps!
Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17494360

i dont think theres any fix for this atm... but if unlocked properly then the sim card should be read !!

well you should restart the whole process of unlocking the bootloader but make sure you are eligible for it. and instead of the application you first used to unlock the bootloader use the other one because i remember it coming with two applications

you are the man....very great solution

Feel lucky
I had the same problem but I can't restore my bootloader so I'm kinda screwed

network problem
I`ve posted my problem in several forums here in XDA, but I got no answer. Mine is kind of the same as yours, so here it goes. I`ve flashed cnm7 on my x10. The phone is locked on Vodafone Spain. I thought that if I change the software, it will allsow unlock the network, but no.
When i`ve inserted my other SIM card, the phone didn`t ask me for the network code, as it did before flashing.
and i thought that it was unlocked, but no. It`s like i don`t have network coverage.
And when I`m trying to manualy find the available networks, i get the messege "error finding networks".
I get this message with both SIM cards inserted. I`m saying both, because I only have the network problem when
i insert any other SIM card, besides the Vodafone one... Please, really need help, because I`m gonna leave Spain
and need to use my own SIM card. Thanks in advance!
Sorry if i shouldn`t post this here, but anywhere else i got no answer...

[Q] MediaPad strange SIM lock ?

Hello ,
I have an one of this nice tool called MediaPad.
Until current time ( thanks to lot of Android programmers) i have found solution to all my problems (avi play problems etc.) in few minutes...
The last one strange a bit...
If I plug an SIM card in it - any card are ecognized and never asked for unlock code or anything... but connect to network work only with Vodafone.
In hidden menu (Calc → ()()2846579()()= → ProjectMenuAct → Network settings → sim card lock → ..._DEACTIVE ) also look like no SIM lock exist ...
When the ICS finalize the installation ( my one are HUAWEI_S7-301u_FIRMWARE_android4.0_C232B002_General_Channel_05010YBX_ROOTED) the 'Restoring SIM data lock ..' appears
Please, can anybody help to solve this problem?
Thanks,
Konstantin
I unlocked my Springboard and then installed latest general ICS from huaweidevice.com. During the installation, restoring sim lock status came out just like when it was locked.

I follow this guide:
Here is my guide on how to install 2.3 generic and then root your x10.
First I would suggest installing the generic version of 2.3.
So, download the Flashtool - azuzu.spice.net.au/tools/X10_GB_Root/FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec.exe
Install it, then go to download the generic version of 2.3:
[Download] All X10 Firmwares - xda-developers
I downloaded X10a_3.0.1.G.0.75_AMERICA-US GENERIC 1233-8200.zip (140.5 MB)
Unzip the file and there should be a FTF file inside, that is the generic ROM
Open Flashtool, Click Flash, navigate to the FTF file that you unzipped.
Chose it, it will prepare the FTF file and then open a window asking you to turn your phone on in Flashmode.
Turn off phone and then hold the back button and plug in the USB cable at the same time like the window is asking you to do.
It will flash the phone to generic 2.3. Now we can prep it for rooting.
Turn the phone on, it will want you to go through the Wizard steps the first time. Just chose English and then click Skip (don't set it all up now)
Open Settings->Applications->Check Unknown Sources->click into Development->Check Debugging and check Stay Awake (for now, we need to do this)
----------
Phone is now 2.3 and ready to get rooted. We have to flash part of the kernel, root and then reflash back to the current kernel.
So, back in the flashtool, click Flash, there will be 2 files in the Firmware folder that is part of the flashtool. Chose the Kernel Downgrade and click ok, it will prep the files and get you ready to flash.
Turn off phone, hold the back button and plug in the USB cable like the onscreen instructions say and it will flsh to the downgraded kernel.
When it is done, unplug and turn off the phone.
Now, we need to root, the phone won't start so remove the back on the phone, we will need to pop the battery at some point.
Make sure the phone is off, have the flashtool open, and plug in the phone, and turn it on.
Click the Root button as soon as it lets you. If the root button never lights up, try once more (might have to pop the battery out to start again)
If you still can't click the root button in the flashtool, then when the phone starts, go to Advanced at the top of the menu bar in the x10 Flashtool and select Root and beside that select Force psneuter
In the flashtool, where it says what it is trying to do.
It used to say "Android version : 2.3.3 / kernel version : uname: permission denied" Now it says "Android version : 2.3.3 / kernel version : 2.6.29" or some other newer version. As long as it sys something like that, then it rooted.
Now we are ready to put the 2.3 kernel back on there and we are done.
Turn off phone (remove battery) now we start it in flashmode again. In the flashtool, click Flash and chose the Kernel Upgrade file from that firmware folder.
Plug in USB, hold back button and pop the battery back in, it will say it is flashing and ask you to unplug and reboot the phone when it is done.
That is it, it should be at 2.3 now and it should be rooted.
At this point, I would also do a Factory Reset on the phone, just to make sure anything left over from 2.1 is gone.

That's the guide.
Get s1tool and identify, post log here.

Neo (MT15i) SIM card not recognised - Help please

Hi, not new to rooting etc. (have a ZTE Blade which have rooted & custom rom in past).
Have inherited Xperia NEO. Was on 2.3.4 stock & locked to UK O2 network. Now does not recognise SIM card (OVIVO on UK Vodafone network) at any software version 2.3 or 4.x.
Have used flashtool to get to 4.1.B.0.587 - fine.
Rooted with DoomLord - think it worked OK.
Tried unlocking with PlasmaTool - had to short a couple of pins to put into test mode. Tested it recognised the phone but did not go any further. Think this is what screwed it up.
Have since got SIM unlock code from O2.
Have also tried 'RESTORE' in S1tools (found in other threads) & reflash but still not working.
Any help welcomed please - how can I get phone to recognise SIM again ? Thanks
Fixed.
If it helps anyone else - I wasn't using the S1tool correctly.
Clicked on Identify, connected phone as directed, clicked on RESTORE. then have to disconnect & reconnect phone as directed. Then says Restore Complete.
Inserted other network SIM - booted phone and prompted for Unlock Code.

No 4g after reverting back to stock

this is my device before flashing and is from the log from flashtool

i have re locked bootloader and flashed with - C6833_14.4.A.0.108.ftf

Unknown Carrier [Motorola E32S]

Good evening / Hello / Hello,
I have a Motorola E32s and I use the firmware (XT22-2-DS) (PATX0008PL) (Carrier Retail - EURO 1), non-rooted locked bootloader. Recently, the UNNOWN CARRIER error appeared, not the SIM card data, and when I insert the card it asks for the "ME PIN" 4-16 digit code ...... I changed the team's software from the website of the service provider, my phone with unnecessary applications in it . what's the problem ???
sorry for my bad English!.
