Swap Phone Numbers-Question - HTC Rezound

I currently have a Razr, and would like to try the Rezound also. I don't want to blow my return policy on the Razr. Can I simply add a line to my verizon account, and then swap phone numbers?
At the end of the day, I still want the ability to return both phones with the only penalty being the $35 restock fee.
I know I can't swap sims, because one is a big sim, and one is a mini sim.
Does anyone know if this is possible?

Yes, it is possible, but you have to do it in the store if you want to do it on short notice. Otherwise Verizon would have to send you one in the mail.

You are going to like the Rezound better than the Razr though, lol.

I know someone is going to need a link to back that statement up:

I read that Verizon will get it first. It might be a while till we see it on Sprint if at all.

Yes, its confirmed to be a Verizon Exclusive in the US - which is probably why they didn't get a SGSII variant this go round.
Doesn't make much sense to me for an "open" platform to be "exclusive" to any carrier, unless said carrier just doesn't want it.
Then again, it may have been part of the Sprint/Apple deal, that they don't carry the next Nexus device to be able to carry the iPOS 4S.
Decent trade off for sprint though. Can't imagine a lot of people being comfortable with a 4.65" screen

Is it worth it to buy a Square trade warranty for the Razr ?

I was just wondering if it is worth it to throw in another $90 for a 2-year warranty?? I had an HTC aria for less than a year out of which 4 months were with a broken display..all these new touch phones look really fragile, any advice whether I should go for the warranty or not??
No, just get the Verizon insurance ($100 for a brand new phone, no matter what you did to it.)

It's like $5/mo I think

I actually got the GSM version unlocked to be able to use it on At&t, but overall am confused whether it deserves another $90 or not..I mean if I would compare $100 at verizon or $90 at Square trade for 2 years..I would go with S.T. They are really awesome..but is any of them worth it anyway???
Thanks for ur help
For each option you need to add all the costs including any monthly fee and deductible. Then ask yourself if you think it likely you'll need to file a claim and how much it would cost you to buy your phone at whatever age it will then be used if you don't have insurance. Remember too how close you might be to your next upgrade. No one can make that risk assessment like you.
I like ST but the price I see quoted for 2y on an Android phone is $124 and there is a $99 deductible. That's a better deal than I figured from VZW (after including monthly fees and deductible) but for me, it's not worth it. I have a case and rarely break anything. It could happen, but unless it happens pretty soon into a new contract, I'd be better off to get a used or cheap replacement until my next contract.
But to each his own.
I think it really boils down to one question: How many phones have you destroyed in your cell carrying career?
If the answer is more than one, sounds like Square Trade is yoir best bet for an unlocked phone!

That was well said..really! I got am $89 when I clicked through an e-mail I had since am already a customer with ST, but I 4got the $99 deductible. Putting that into consideration with the $90 it is almost $200 which is near to any new phone on the next upgrade! I think I'll pass..thanks 4 the advice.

I had like 6 phones, out of which 4 were smart phones(some older generations of course..not really "smart" ! ) only the last htc's display got broken, which I later found was common with this specific model "htc Aria" since the display has no plastic margin surrounding, and protecting, it.
I guess I'll pass ST!
Thanks
Just for the record..I ended up buying the ST warranty off Amazon for $100 after a coupon code & $50 deductible instead of $99, that was after reading some reviews about how the phone display broke with some people...not many but enough to make me buy the warranty...am not lucky with electronics & probably it will happen with me as well...just saying!

Verizon sim card

Ive got a unused unopened verizon wirless sim card that they sent me for my note 2. I really have no need for it cause i already have one in the note 2. I want to sell it dont know how much or if it has any personal info in it so i can sell it. Yes its still wrapped in the plastic and all but just want to make sure verizon didnt put anything linking it to my account or the phone. So how much would i be able to sell it and if theres anyone interested let me know.
They are free from verizon

Someone could technically activate it on your line I believe if you sold it. The network is waiting for it to become active and it's linked to your account. I'd say either use it, or destroy it. Even if it didn't have anything linked to you, the value would be minimal

Thanks! I didnt think they were but guess ill hang on to it just in case another breaks or something.
Here's what happened to me (SG3's SIM Card went bad in August)....IF you go to a VZW Corp store, they're free, but if you go to an Authorized Resale Store, they'll charge you $25 for it. I'd hold on to it, just in case your current SIM every hiccups or flakes out.

$25? No, this is wrong. Maybe at SOME authorized resale stores they will charge you that much. I bought a 4g sim by my place for $5.

I went to 2 different Retailers-same price. Maybe it's different by region???? Either way, I ended up getting it for free at a Corp Store, it's just that those two retailers were closer to my office.
Yeah they're free at verizon

Oh an yeah it might be linked to your account already so I wouldn't sell it unless you want unexpected charges

Loose Charging Port

Hey guys. So I've been noticing these last few days that my charging port seems to be a bit loose. I drops the connection quite easily. Definitely not the cables, I've spent some time testing. What should I do? Is there any sites selling this part? I know it's an easy repair. Or would T-Mobile swap it in store? I really want to avoid getting a refurbished phone (might be too early) and this definitely isn't anything I caused so don't think I should pay a insurance fee. Just kinda freaking out cause my devices usually never have any problems. Lol help... ???

So they won't replace it even though I'm still in the 2 week window? I just want the same device fully functional.

T-Mobile LG BOGO

Has anyone gone for this promo? I just did and the terms are a little vague. I truly just want to sell the second phone to ultimately end up with the phone I'll keep being 'free'. The terms state buy two and 'add a new line of service'. Doesn't say anything about needing two lines.
Anyone managed to payoff the second and cancel service on the second, but still get the cash card?
If you ask a rep, they tell you that service is required until you get the card - dubious that is the true answer.
What she told you is correct. I got the buy one get one free offer and the free phone had to be on a totally new line. You must keep that line in service in order to qualify for the deal. That new line is only $25 per month.

I do not know how long that line must be kept, but as soon as I'm able to get rid of it I will.

Thanks, for the reply. From what I can tell, then, you must retain the service until the pre-paid cash card is dispensed. Hopefully sooner than later of the stated 6-8 week rebate turn-around.

Mine have always taken 2 months to get the card.
You have to wait until you physically receive the card to cancel the new line. When you cancel the new line the remaining cost of the device is due (but you should've paid it off by now anyway..)
You cannot take part in a TMO promotion such as BOGO like this again within 90days of removing a line..
