To answer your question, last month, but it was delayed till sometime this month. No one knows really. All rumors basically.

Just saw on samsung's Facebook page a post sayin to post your questions about the note because the marketing director is answering them Friday. I obviously asked about ics, nfc, and even android 5.
Thought I would share in case anyone wanted to post a question of their own.

If you get answers, post them here. I'd like to see what the answer to your questions are.
Unfortunately all he did was say things we already knew. ICS is coming but no date. And he didnt even touch on nfc or jelly bean... That was worthless...

The official Ics has been out for the international version of the s2, and I've seen tutorials on how to install it early, but I was wondering if it was available for the i777? Or do we have to wait for AT&T to take their sweet time to release it? I've searched around the forums for this question so I would appreciate if you guys could enlighten me instead of just telling me to "search" like every other forum on the Internet. Thanks guys!

Why read? Just clutter these forums with garbage. Good call.

It's people like this that are making XDA a forum for lazy gimmie gimmie people. This is first and foremost a developer forum for responsible users. I'm not saying it's strictly for developers, just that people that are new here need to realize the forum was not created for THEM. it was created for developers and users that know what they are doing with their phones.

And another gone, another gone, another one bites the dust...
Thread closed. We have two ICS threads that will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about ICS.
Why can't I post in the dev section? Do I have to be a member for a certain amount of time?

Need to have a certain number of posts. Check the forum rules

Apparently, XDA is trying their best to not appear like other forms where you have people register, ask a question, that already has a thread to - therefore the forum has the same thread ongoing. Which yes, I do see that as extremely annoying and is an interesting negating tool. But it does suck for those who generally more of an expert, or at least... more ambitious of searching for an answer? as opposed to waiting for an answer to come lol
So alas, this becomes my first post. I came aware of this when making a comment on another post you should have seen the video during registration (if you registered along time ago then check out this link)

What's the latest word on official ICS?
Samsung is rapidly running out of time if they wanted to get it out in Q2...
SMH
10chars
And another repeat thread...

OP, you really need to read, search, or at least glance at the newest threads before you post. The forum is loaded with that info. And there was no Q2 promise by Samsung.

Speculation does nothing but cause discontent.

I'm sorry you feel that way. It's possible you've posted a question that noone has an answer to. It's also possible that you've posted a question that has been beat to death, as in answered numerous times. There are other possibilities, but you get my point I hope.
Some questions get answered rather quickly and others don't. That's the way it goes. And just for an example, I get ignored too. I've forwarded an application for someone that's applying for RC title. In most cases those get answered rather quickly. I made my request a week ago, no response, but others who have made nominations after me have had their nominations dealt with. So you see, this isn't happening to just you. Patience
I get the feeling it's because you ask things that we've answered countless times. Maybe you should watch this, it's extremely comprehensive and helps younger users.

Well I took the liberty into looking at what questions this guy asked. From what I've found, your questions were answered in the Original Post. you basically asked "are you sure i can root my phone using this method" in a thread that has a tutorial to rooting all the l9 varients. Why would you ask such a thing?
Then you ask "do i install this recovery for a locked bootloader" and you have a LINK to the thread that says LOCKED BL recovery......
also you posted these "questions" like a couple days ago, not even a week. People have family and friends. staying on XDA answering questions is not what they do for a living.
Whenever I have a question I use the search to see if it's been asked before.
