Yes, but it's buggy as hell. Best to stick with GingerBread ROMs for now.
Read the forum stickies and FAQ's in the guides before doing anything, as looks like your trying to flash a 9000 ROM instead of 9100.You can flash any 9100 firmware on a T version.
Here is a place to start:
[ROM+Guide]Official i9100 Firmwares KG, KH, KI, KJ, KK1/2/5, KL1/2/3, LA2,4 Download
Whenever using Odin, make sure you NEVER use PIT etc. Follow the guides exactly etc and you won't have a problem.
When flashing firnware, you might need to flash your carrier CSC, or just enter the APN manually. Also, you probably need to flash a modem (baseband) to recive better signal/strength/stabilty/battery life etc. These are found in the modem threads. There are some Odin flashable and other to be flashed using CWM Recovery (need root);
[REF] Galaxy S 2 Shipped Modem Collection
Edit: If the links are down, find/download with The webversion of Check Fus 2.0 and or download with the Windows Program
If your using Telstra or other 850MHz carrier, look for the T modem such in my signature (for Telstra).
If your unsure, best to re-read again and again, follow guides exactly, and also the forum stickies before posting.

[Q] What kernel to use to root?

Hi,
Planning to use this method to root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125414
BUT not sure what unsecure kernel I need.
I have done the *#1234# thing and it says:
PDA: 19100BUKE5
PHONE: 19100BUKE1
CSC: 19100VODKE2
Which one gives the right info? Phone, PDA or CSC?
Thanks.
No one has any idea?
How did y'all root your phones then?
Your phone is KE5 firmware .
jje
ok so I can flash any insecure kernel e.g. KE7 for example?
EDIT: also, if I use an unsecure KE7 kernel and then reflash a secure KE7 kernel, a. is this ok, and b. I will then have KE7 firmware I think?
Cheers.

To do it in tue good way :
It seems you have an operator firmware
First you must flash using Odin a samsung official firmware like (KE7 last KIES update for european people) to find the samsung offical firmware for your country, look in the official firmware and root thread of intratech.
Then You can flash the CF-Root kernel corresponding to your new firmware.
The yellow triangle is really nothing bad. Just meens you didn't use all offical samsung stuff ...
Edit : in Intratech thread, for choosing you firmware : find one with same csc as yours or a multi CSC firmware.
Or after flashing any firmware you want, re-flash with
ODIN, your CSC (present in Intratech thread)
in ODIN, use CSC BOX not PDA and don't touch anything else

Ok so I have the KF2 firmware for flashing.
It came with three files:
Phone_I9100XXKF2.tar
PDA_I9100XXKF2.tar
CSC_I9100XEUD1.tar.
I am on Vodafone UK. So I think I should replace the CSC .tar file with this one that I found:
CSC_I9100VODKE2.tar
This CSC .tar is the same one I have already: thus I should have no issues with connectivuty settings etc after flashing.
Is this correct?

That's correct.
Or you can just reflash after updating to kf2 your specific CSC using Odin and CSC box
CSC are specific from a region/country (keyboards langages ...) that's why you should use one specific to yours

Ok great stuff.
So: I use Odin to flash the firmware to KF2.
Then I can root it with the XXKF2 unsecure kernels etc.
Cool.

Nop, you should use Chainfire CF-Root kernel (kF2)
You will be directly rooted and will have CWM recovery mode.
His KF2 kernel is in his 3rd post i bolieve
But don't forget to download and flash your CSC with ODIN in the CSC box if you don't want to loose your specific country configuration.
You will find your CSC in the Intratech thread : official firmwares and how to root.
The how to ROOT from Intratech is older than the CF root from Chainfire.

[Q] Stock I9100T Rom

i got a vodafone rom but i want to flash a stock australian i9100t rom im not into custom roms just stock i9100t i like to be safe then sorry
Download check fus and get the rom from there. Just Google it. Flash with Odin.
There is a thread in the original development section with all / most stock carrier roms but I believe most links are not working now.

is there a link for non-branded 9100T australian rom
No. There are no links. You can either search Samfirmware.com for a generic AU rom or download a carrier branded rom with Checkfus.
Try http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/ then search i9100T
Look for I9100TDUKJ1 Australian Vodafone, Hope this helps mate.
Alternatively find an international stock rom and flash an Australian modem onto it.
If you need a link that isn't multiupload - try that one http://whrl.pl/Rc56pi
It's the DUKJ1 modem

Newbie question with firmwares LF3 vs LFB

Hi. New s3 user on o2 in the uk and new to Odin flashing etc. Recently flashed from a o2 firmware to non o2 stock firmware to get a more upto date version. I went from old o2 to samsung stock LFB firmware and it was great. I have since gone from lfb to lf8 but my radio is much worse so going to downgrade back to lfb BUT I just noticed there Is a new o2 version of lfb firmware on sammobile. The "pda" is the same but the "csc" are different, stock UK one is I9300OXABLFB and the o2 one is I9300O2UBLF3. What is the main difference and what does pda and csc actually mean. Theoretically speaking would the o2 lf3 csc have a better and more tailored radio compared to the stock lfb csc. Hope that makes sense to someone! as I said,I'm a complete newbie!
Thanks in advance.

try LFB
remember you can flash modems separately, so you could just revert to your old modem and keep the up to date firmware

Radio base band better for O2 possible but not probably better .
Need to ask O2 .
Difference no changelog published you need to read the firmware posts to find out .
Many posters no longer comment on a question if the answer can be found by using XDA rule one search first .

If I was to just flash the modem for LFB but keep firmware to Lf8, how do I do this with Odin, tick phone instead of pda and still point to the downloaded 780mb file?

Help! I just reflashed back to LFB firmware and every 10 seconds I keep getting error message unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped. Ffs! Tried reflashing and rebooting but it's the same. What can I do?
Sorted it. Just deleted all details in the contact app and then problem went away!
I can't believe how much better my reception is with LFB radio versus Lf8 radio.

What model number are the phones I9300 / I9305?
they are i9300t
I managed to root both of them. I know have a major problem. 1 of them had a problem with wifi. It couldnt connect. I read about a solution by copying the wifi folder from version 4.1.1. Tried that. It worked for once but after reboot it stopped. And now I can't even turn on the wifi. It gets stuck on Turning on... Do i have to reflash the rom again and if so how will i do that? It was stock rom on stock kernel. Only rooted. gt i9300t moder and build DUELL2.
Also can i flash a rom with different build over that? For example XXEMC2 that i have on my Greek galaxy s3?
I9300T rooting is the same as I9300 rooting, follow the guides of CF-Root 6.4 or CF-Autoroot. (I got a T model myself)
You can flash any I9300 rom also on the T model, therefore root is not 100% necessary. Full wipes are recommended for flashing different versions though.

just saw it .
For wifi, try a stock ROM (flash it new incl. wipes etc.), or try a different kernel, whereas the stock kernel should always work.

you can find (unrooted) stock roms for instance on sammobile.com or (rooted) stock roms here on XDA in the General section.
Easiest way to flash them is via Mobile Odin (gives you the option to keep root) or Odin (you will loose root but you can flash CF afterwards manually).
And yes you can flash any build that is made for the I9300/I9300T.
The only difference between both models is the frequency of the baseband (the T model is more optimized for 850mhz) whereas you even can use modems of the I9300 on the I9300T.

What do you mean by modems? Soz if I sound noob but I am new to Galasy s3. My previous android was ideos x5 and i had a miui rom on it.
The phone will be used in greece. Do you suggest me flashing the XXEMC2 rom that i have on my Greek S3 atm? Is there any chance of bricking it if i flash that rom on it?

There is a difference between the ROM's firmware (basically your OS, e.g. XXEMC2) and the modem (basically the part which gives you the connection to the next mobile tower and is managing the frequencies, e.g. DUELL2).
It does not matter that much what ROM firmware you use as they are nearly identical in each country (here and there dif. apps due to providers) but more that you use a modem that delivers in the country you are in. Hence, I would first try the modems of your region (you can find a list of all modems in the General section's modem collection).
Regarding the risk of bricking: there is always a risk, no one can guarantee you anything , whereas if you follow the guides you should be fine.

Ok. So the CSC numbers that are different on lets say the DUELL2 and the XXEMC2 are not something to bother me right? I just download the XXEMC2 rom and flash it on the DUELL2 S3 and then I just will root it. right? Will the phone become i9300 after that procedure? or stay i9300t? So I know which file i should use to root it.
Soz for too many questions but the phone is not mine and I need to be sure for the procedure.

The firmware code (XXEMC2) should not be of concern.
The modem code (DUELL2) should be of concern IF you experience bad performance in the region you are. If so, flash a different modem and try it.
The phone will be an I9300T whereas in the menus it might tell you I9300, anyway there is no difference in the files to use.
For rooting, follow the guide, you can use CF-Root 6.4 (if you want a custom recovery) or CF-Autoroot (if you want to use stock recovery).
