[Q] Looking for stock ish ROM - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I've been trolling around the galaxy tab 10.1 thread a for a few days and I can't decide which rom to use. I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket (Rogers version) and i'm running tpc s ROM and i love it. So is there a ROM for the tab that is similar to his ROM?
ROM that is stockish based on Rogers tab 10.1 4G
ROM with a Kernal like da_g kernal
- able to 192 min frequency
- able to deep sleep as soon as screen is off
ROM that can customize dock tray
Any suggestions?

[Q] Best ROM for GT-P7500 (3G/4G)???

I have rooted, V6 supercharged, unlocked, and flashed a new rom on my P7500 (Bell 4G) tab but its definitely not as smooth as I was anticipating. I am curious what other roms people are using on P7500's. If there is already a thread for this then let me know. I have a HTC evo 3D and its smoother then my SG S 2X, is it all Samsung devices which are kind of laggy?
I'm using a Honeycomb 3.2 ROM with Pershoot kernel for overclocking and USB charging.
ROM: Overcome 10.1 Series v2.1.1 P7500XWKK4
Kernel: pershoot 2.6.36.4-cyanogenmod+ [xda link] [direct link]
Using SetCPU to overclock to 1.4 GHz with 'OnDemand'. Using 'Performance at 1.4GHz, Quandrant score of about 2800.
Hope this helps.
Exactly what is laggy? Launcher performance?
New Overcome ROM based on KL1 released today.

Other ROM don't support the samsung cameras

Need a fast and stable form.

Hello, got a galaxy tab for my little sister. I need a ROM that is fast, and rock stable no fuss. Does anyone have any recommendations? I am not familiar with samsung galaxy tabs. Thank you for your time!
Do you have the P7500 (3g) or the P7510 (wifi)?
For P7500 I can recommend Overcome (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1348533)
For P7510 you have way more options, but since I don't own this version I can't really help you.

For a 7510, Task14 is by far the best and most stable. Here is the link for ya

I've had no issues on Task 14 either. Nothing against the other roms, I just haven't used them. I recommend ADW launcher, it seems a bit snappier than the stock touchwiz launcher.
Another vote for Task 14. It has been by far the best I have tried.

If you want the best honeycomb its GALAXY Task 14, the best Ice Cream Sandwich in my opinion would be the AOKP Build 32.
Hope I was useful to you
Agreed with most everyone here: task14 is the fastest, most stable, and fully functional ROM that I have used on my 7510 wifi.

Hi caaznkid, I just wanted to say "kudos", for getting your little sister a great tablet. Top marks, for being a good brother.
I recently upgraded my girlfriend from an ASUS Transformer, to a Wi-Fi only, Galaxy Tab 10.1. Much lighter and thinner, which actually makes a difference. She never used the other hardware features of the Transformer which make it nearly twice as thick.
My girlfriends Tab is currently running Coffebeans ICS Unofficial build. And my girlfriend who's a mere mortal, not a geek. Hasn't complained once.
Kudos. Anil
Hello everyone I will put task 14 on for her then thank you so much for all your suggestions. I think the tablet is great for entertainment as well as learning things especially those interactive books. Hopefully it does some good for her education too and not just games and videos haha.

Proud new owner with a few questions

Hey everyone, I just purchased a new note from Telus in Canada and I love it. It was quite a substantial upgrade from my old x10. With the x10 it was almost a MUST to use a custom rom to get it working at a satisfying speed. I'm just wondering if thats the case with the Note, is there a substantial increase in performance with the roms? I dont mind touchwiz but I think i would prefer stock android or CM. All of this was pretty easy to do with the x10 but i'm feeling pretty lost right now, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Its been almost 3 weeks with my note and I did not notice any lags I just love it the way it is.........but I did rooted it asap for apps like s voice and s3 widgets etc ....i might flash the 1st jellybean rom which comes....lol .....
If its ics ...its good...
If its on gingerbread ....then update it ota ...
Enjoy!

The note does lag....not bad in some cases but if u can live with it thats great..if u come to the custom rom world u can remove tons of bloat oc uv kernels bigjoe has a super everything thread thats really handy i rooted and flashed mine within hours...i love hiw much faster and smoother it is...most ppl that have not rooted have no idea how bad it lags until they get a custom rom

Thanks for the responses guys, JB could you point me in the right direction? I'm currently on stock 4.0.4 if that helps SGH-I717D
My rom is so light and small my phone lag is non-existing compared to my girlfriends stock gingerbread one

cyanogen is working on jelly bean for the note. as soon as it's ready you can be sure it will be at the top of the development section.
also if you're already rooted then there is no reason not to flash a custom rom. it takes 5 minutes tops and it removes all the carrier bloat and adds some goodies and tweaks we all love. try out team perfections latest release if you like the stock feel but without the garbage.
See my signature pic, click it
And go to the gnote super page....has the listing for ROM, tools, info....

[NOOB WARNING] [Q] Installing a CR on G.Centura?

I have the Galaxy Centura and I want to install a custom rom on it, Android 4.2.2 or Cyanogen. I'm really new to this whole thing and I don't know how to really do any of it 100% right. I guess the first thing is to ask if my phone is even compatible with putting a custom rom on it and how do I go about doing this?
Thanks!
Phone Model: Galaxy Centura SAMSUNG
I still haven't found anything out, anyone out there with knowledge?

Try googling it, I found a Rom for it on area 51 site. Shows how to root it and what not. Also it's based on the stock ice,I haven't tried it yet.

My centura is running their ARC 1.1 ROM with the new 1.3 GHz over clocked kernel. No issues at all. I had problems with all their other custom roms, but this version is running pretty solid for me.

So is arc 1.1 still running great? And when do I get it at?
