Hi all. Ive ran into issues AFTER root an im wondering if any other canadian users or telus users have had it happen or have a solution. Heres the order of what i flashed and the issue it caused:
DAG ROOT : Wifi works at home but not at work...will connect but no data gets through.. I think its blocking wpa-tkip encryption which is what the network uses that im trying to connect to..
Cwm recovery: Installed fine no further issues. I tried to fix the wifi with the stock kernel...no luck.. Tried telus radio and it doesent install
then i flashed the DAG Root OC: caused startup FC's. Anyone experiencing anything similar or fixed any of these issues? Sent from my SGH-I717D using XDA
I can guess wifi issue is bcoz of gingerbread version, just deal with it for now.
Once in a while make reset ur wifi in phone.
Like SGS2, on early veraions of gingerbread used to give me hard time to connect public wifi, where you need to login for connection.
I just hope we get ICS soon, to make our Note perfectly nice all what this nice hardware deserve.

Okay so I just bought the G-Tab yesterday, rooting & flash install went fine. However I've noticed one thing & wondered if anyone else has the same problem. When my G-Tab is wirelessly tethered to my HTC Hero (CDMA) I noticed that flash will not play. However if connected to my wireless router at home, flash will play fine with no problems. So the question is, is flash playing dependent upon bandwidth? If so is there a way to circumvent this issue?
Wow thats new.. not sure why you are having that problem, which version of flash are you running. I tether my tablet with my motorola cliq (GSM) have never had any issues what so ever.. I just tethered my sister's Motorola Droid(Verizon) to my tablet and it works just the same the data connection was slower than T-Mobile but flash still worked.... what Rom and kernel are you using that might also be the problem

I'm running CM7 with kernel 2.6.29.6-CyanogenMod [email protected] #1.
Should I try running a different kernal & if so what would you suggest?
I'm experiencing constant WiFi dropouts on my atrix currently running latest radio 01.92.00 on att model in Australia. I have changed several Roms gladiatix, ginger blur etc. and i still have exactly the same problem, does anyone know how to fix this?
There is no fix yet. You can try all of the different solutions posted here and it will not help.
Sorry for the bad news.

The only thing I can this of is flash back to stock and re-root. If that doesn't help I would get everything Root related off the phone and take it in to get it looked at.

I use ICS beta (MT15i_Neo_ICS_ROM_v1.2.zip) with NightElf kernel. All works perfect, also wi-fi works perfect without one wifi access point (my home)! On all wifi points it works, but on one it not connect fast, it connect-disconnect-connect-cisconnect... after some time it connect, but sometimes it is so long! I tried many ICS roms, some problem! With Intek kernel wifi not work at all...
Have to resolve this?
Reginal Wi-Fi problems been talked a about many times before

Have same issue and yes Kormatoes, have tried the regional fixes which none seem to work going back to GB and everything is working but ICS is brilliant and the only bug I seem to encounter and I am not the only one is the WiFi bug, I have yet to get a kernel/rom to work with WiFi properly. at least not with my homes WiFi, maybe it's something else? if it were to be a regional problem then perhaps why would it work in other places besides the home? maybe it has problems with specific WiFi channels? or something else? just trying to be of help here when I get some spare time.
I dont seem to have this problem on any network, so try KA13 ROM with NightElf kernel on that page. Maybe it helps...
KA13 wifi works better than other roms, today we'll have a new realease.
Can you point me in the direction of these regional fixes? Googled around and also searched the forums but can't seem to find anything to suggest that there are regional baseband files or any specific fixes to be had.
Many thanks in advance!
Hi all,
i already mention this issues in this post...please take a look..
i think, the best for me now, is waiting for my regional ics release...
Welp, title says it all.
The infamous, unresolved issue of Wi-Fi saying "error" under it in the settings.
Issue occurred first on unrooted stock(when I was give the phone), so I rooted it in hope I could somehow fix it via kernel flash, rom flash, or by other means.
I've practically flashed every kernel, every rom, tried several apps, and still running into this issue.
I would rely souly on Wi-Fi for internet access, seeing how I do not want Big Red up my arse with a contract(sticking to my Optimus V on Virgin Mobile running JellyBean).
The phone has no SIMcard, a 2GB sd-card, and is running the newly leaked BAMF ICS rom(installed in hopes of at least using bluetooth tether with my Optimus V for internet, but BT is broken on the leak).
I've searched every android forums on the web, read several dead end threads, saw even more that were unanswered.
Its as if this issue is purposely avoided being resolved.
I at least want someone to attempt to help, or give me the definitive answer of "you're poop out of luck, and there is no solution."

It's usually fixed by a kernel flash so im assuming its a hardware error

I've flashed several different kernels(mixing and matching several froyo & gingerbread kernel/ROM combos), which would you recommend?
BT working on the ICS leak with the .19 radios.

Hate to make my first post an issue post, but I have searched all over XDA for the answer and couldnt find anything particular to my issue. I flashed CM10 to my phone and noticed my Bluetooth would turn on but would not pick up any devices in device search. I tried multiple speakers and headsets and nothing would work. I did a hard wipe and installed MeanBean thinking that it was a ROM related issue. Tried it again on MeanBean and same issue. I tried fixing permissions and Bluetooth Fix app and still nothing. Can anyone help?
(I am on the latest radio/firmware and v.06 MeanBean)
Same exact issue !

My evo lte has been doing this for as long as i can remember also. I've been through dozens of roms and full wipes and still no bluetooth at all, not even recognizable.
Try deleting everything that is paired or was paired and then reboot. You may have Bluetooth defects if that still doesnt work. I have used on many sense roms, cm10, 10.1 varients with no problems. Hope that helps.

Im having the same issue
I have updated my radios and noticed that i lost my Bluetooth connectivity. I was originally running meanrom ics until JB came around. Then updated my radios and moved to JB MeanBean. I did an Ruu and got it back to stock. No dice, stock rom Bluetooth still cannot find or be found. I tried my laptop ipad macbook car audio everything and nothing works. I ve never had any issues with my phone and it seems after Jelly Bean Bluetooth is non existent.
Currently I am running
Twrp 2.3.1
Arc Reactor Kernel
MeanBean3.09
Is there a way to see if the actual Bluetooth is borked or if its working properly, "if its sending a signal"?
Is it possible that something happened when upgrading that the BlueTooth became corrupted? or can it just plain old stop working, died?
At that point if it's Borked on several roms
Then it's time to take it into sprint. That's a manufacturer defect / issue and they should swap it out. Assuming you bought legit from them
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Yes I bought it legit when it came out. I also have the insurance plan with Sprint. The only thing I'm worried about is the new hboot and unlocking/rooting the new phone .
But I guess if it means a new phone then I guess its best... To get a fresh new evo
