[Q] Touch screen does not work with custom rom - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Sorry for my bad henglish but i need help
I have a serious problem with the touch screen and custom rom. With the CM9, CM7 and MIUI, and its kernel, touchscreen does not work! But if I use the stock rom and kernel the touch screen works, or if I use the official ICS kernel beta with ICS Rom: KA15 Team Ice Cream or Sony Xperia Hybryd rom or ICS official Sony touch screen works ...
So I think that the touch screen works only with the official kernel!
Here's how I do:
1 - flash with fastboot kernel
2-cwm go to recovery and wipe data / factory reset, and Dalvik cache partition
3-zip file with the flash custom roms
4-reboot
But with CM9, CM7, Miui and their kernels touch screen does not respond
Please Help!

Try to use KA1x kernel with miui/CM roms; Maybe it works.

Could you give me the link of this kernel?

I have used PwnKernel 1.6 with miui and SETweaked android 2.3.x and PwnKernel ICS for KA15 and it worked very well.
PwnKernel 1.6: click
PwnKernel ICS(no bluetooth): click
Inside the zips you will find the boot.img(kernel) and Pwnkernel-modules. For wifi and bluetooth(BT only for pwnk 1.6) you have to install them under recovery after flashing the kernel.
If they don't work, take a look here; it's a list with kernels and roms for neo.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1316394

I have used 1.6 Pwnkernel with CM7.1 but the touch screen does not work the same!
In my opinion the problem is another, looks like this user has solved the same problem but with a ZTE phone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKO9flwApD0. I tried doing the same thing but my Neo does not work without batteries, then the user updating the video wrote that he found a better way to solve with a fixed kernel. I also tried the kernel FXP but the problem returns! is very strange but I can not find solutions!

maybe it's depends on hardware, maybe your phone has other touchscreen (like there was with SE X8)

Trust me the stock Rom is much faster than many others. I've give up on trying any android 2.x based roms and the ICS ones are, at least for now, laggy and/or buggy. Don't feel bad if you can't solve this problem

Use the fxp kernel provided in the rom and download the latest cm7.2
Pwn kernel will give problems for cm7 and miui.
And since miui is based on cm7 and cm9 ...they share the same bugs...if you are facing dead portion of screen at the bottom in landscape mode...then only latest fxp kernel can help.
And if the whole screen is non functional ...then there is something wrong with your flashing...and it is obviously kernel related.
Sent from my MT11i using XDA

U should 1st flash the .64 baseband coz cm7/9 n miui need .64 baseband to work properly
Sent from my MT11i using XDA

I have flashed .64 firmware official, then i have flashed kernel included in the zip file of CM7.1.0.1, then i have format and wipe everything and flashed rom, but Touch doesn't work!!
Same thing with CM9!
I do not know what to invent to make it work!
I have flashed the official SE beta Ics kernel and everything works! means that the flash is correct. Right?

[Q] andy's gb rom rc1 + mik_os v1.1 kernel?

I flashed andy's gb rom rc1 and was happy with the rom, only thing I missed was overclocking...so I flashed mik's v1.1 kernel.
Will this harm the phone in any way? Pls tell me, else I'll reflash the rom...
Instead is the kernel .zip available? so I wont have to reflash the rom. I am aware tht andy will be releasing a modified kernel soon with miks oc features.
But in the meanwhile I dont want my phone to have any adverse effects.
Thanks

You should notice a lot of bugs now that yo uflashed mik_os 1.1 ancient kernel . Like black screen bug , reduced performance , probabily no 3d/2d , freezes ....
Thanks @zerobarat1 for the quick reply..
Actually the performance isnt much diff, running it at 729 makes it faster actually. But yes the black screen is bugging
So,
How do I go back to original kernel without reflashing the rom....I hadnt created a nandroid Is there a zip? I read the whole gb thread and have been following them for a while...afaik I couldnt find such a zip
Anyway Im waiting to see if andy releases his updated oc kernel today, it will save me the trouble of reflashing whole rom as opposed to just flashing new kernel over current one
Reflash the ROM without wiping.

[Q] It does not work HYBROM v17 on WT19a

This morning I woke up and as I entered the XDA routine to look for a new ROM for my WT19a based firmware .58. I found this HYBROM v17
changed the kernel that is using the kernel itself kamarush very good I recommend to everyone and it is not stable and already spent battery is an ICS alpha. I decided to switch to GB because I was thinking of games as the OS is lighter so I can have more Hz observed for the Games. Ai gave me a Kernel not know where I'm just in Boot img. Do not know which kernel is said that he worked in the cell that is based on .62 firmware. I did everything right as in Tutorial #http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373435But I was stuck in the screen just did several times and always restarts the machine. Thank God and Backup ClockworkMod restaruar achieve my original kernel. Soon after the Advanced Backup to start the phone again. At first did not recognize most USB cable into fastboot mode or mode mass is nothing in debug mode only after a disconnected and connected the USB device works again. I wonder if applying a Kernel difirente ROM for your application. Aver can brick. Because I could not install: Confuso:
in boof rom the firmware using is .62 not 58.. the kernel using this to work is xkernel, rage and boofkernel ..
RAGE Kernel v2.8

According to the RAGE was vendor Kernel v2.8. Because this Rage Kernel v2.8 would not have to run? Rage Kernel v2.8 ROM does not run on 58? Because before when I was using kernel kamarush MiniSanduwich and everything worked perfect. Someone tell me a kernel itself wrong in a ROM which defects that generates them.
Now I'm too afraid to apply a different kernel and not return it to flow. Because right after that my Kernel celularar stopped recognizing the USB device for a time that is normal.
Rage Kernel, X Kernel and kernels created by bbooff should work on all stock(including .42, .58, .62, .69 and many others) and stock-based ROMs.
GB kernels work only on GB, ICS kernels work only on ICS.

Kernel only works on GB and GB Kernel ICS ICS only works on this I know. That's why I had to Madar Kernel to use this ROM Hybrom which is based on GB. It was then that the problem had a second boy from the Facebook group I started | Kernel Rage is that it currently uses in cell http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398910 it all works perfect ROM and Kernel. In my not work as I did everything right in the tutorial and the Kernel flasher I used the flash code script to write the kernel. After I did the tutorial teaches you how. Get stuck in boot screen did all limpesas as taught and nothing. When I went to reflasher the kernel you were using ICS Kernel Before the computer stopped recognizing the phone Fastboot mode. By great luck my backup of the original ROM ClockworkMod was recovered successfully. Now I'm afraid to apply in Kernel flasher and it does not return to work.
I need to know what damage they can imreparaveis to come when a kernel applied to a ROM in a dispositovo that is not supported as in my case.

MiniCM7Pro will only run on the stock kernel, there was no need to unlock your bootloader, and most certainly not to install a custom kernel. Get back to stock kernel (I think there's a link provided for a kernel you can flash with flashtool) and then run MiniCM7Pro.

No, the order doesn't really matter, but your phone will only work if you pair the right kernel and the right rom together. The ROM post will state which kernel it will run on.
so for:
MiniCM7Pro - Stock Kernel
MiniCM7 - nAa-13 Gingerbread kernel
ArcMiniNxt - Just about every kernel
MiniCM9 - nAa-04 ICS kernel

Just about all roms that state they're based on CyanogenMod (CM) include App2SD by default, all you have to do it activate it in settings.
ArcMiniNxt is a Gingerbread ROM with a sony ericsson framework, so it will look and work a bit like the original firmware, but based on Gingerbread, and it will run on the stock kernel. It seems smooth and easy on battery-life.
MiniCM7 is sort of the 'default' ROM to go for if you want Android look-and-feel, it is further developed than MiniCM7Pro, but you will need the nAa-gingerbread kernel for it. It is also very smooth and fast.
Mind you, nothing is perfect, you can expect some problems with your keyboard layout and keyboard lights on all Gingerbread ROMS, but there are fixes for that if you care to search through the x10minipro development forum

[Q] neo v jellybean with xneo kernel problem

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1666171&page=75
So i tried to flash the AOSP jellybean rom from the link above for my Neo V. I flash the 4.0.4 ics first, then i flash the kernel that comes with the rom .zip file, then install the rom. Works like a charm.
However, when i try to flash the xneo aokp v1.1 kernel as recommended for better battery life, when my phone boots to the part that show the boot animation, which is "android", the boot animation keeps jumping accross the screen forever. I dont know how to describe it but i know its not normal. I thought i was about the baseband because i was on .72, then i flash the .70 baseband as recommended. Still the same.
I have tried every kernel in the xneo kernel post but none is working.
Believe me i have been searching all over the place before posting a question, but for some reason i cannot post in the development section so i post it here. Hope someone can help because as mentioned, this kernel sure is draining too much battery. Sorry for my bad english
Did OP tell u that u could flash other kernel..? If not, how dare..?
Of course, it would drain battery because it just born ...
Xneo for better battery was for the ics version, only kernel in zip or fxp cm10 kernel will work.

[Q] Ray: From FXP to ICS

Ok so now that I've played with JB, I wanted to try out xperia ultimate hd for instance.
Problem is, I already had a lot upgrading from stock ICS to JB FXP.
So now the question: What are the steps to be sure there 's no problem at all while I change from
Flykernel+FXP
to
Xperia ultimate hd.
I unzipped the source, but can't find any ICS kernel to flash with flashtool. And I think I can not just reboot in recovery and flash the new rom, am I wrong ?
Searched for a clue on xda, sorry if I missed a post with the answer in it.
You should flash an ics kernel like rage kernel and flash the xperia ultimate HD rom in recovery. Don't forget about the wipes, it should work
What are the issues you are afraid of?

flykernel for ics has recovery just use it. You will want to flash the kernel first and then use the CWM from flykernel ics to flash the rom. Since there was no kernel inside the ROM this probably means it uses the stock kernel.
Ok thanks ! reasons why I want to change is :
-> Google Search is leeching my battery, I tried everything from disabling location or history, still draining do not know why...
-> No OTA on FXP, you guys know if there is any chances there would be on CM10 unoff ? CM10 supposed to bring OTA, do not know if FXP will.
->Still my battery is fine with smartassV2 / Sio, but I miss the auto brightness and I wanted a more stable / Battery friendly rom. Is ultimate HD the right choice ?
