On molten as soon as the phone is plugged in, the screen freezes which leaves me unable to do anything including enter recovery. How is this fixed

I would sbf and reflash. Used to run Molten and never had that problem. Ever.

Have you tried different chargers? How about car chargers? My X2 doesn't like it when I have the home charger plugged in and try to use it. It does the same thing. As soon as you unplug it, its like nothing ever happened. Mine is just moody though.

With the plethora of different chargers I have, the VZW I have no touch screen, the one from my D2 I can't use BSR, the charger from my fascinate is the only one that works....go figure... Try changing chargers, some interfere with some phones.
DROID DOES, Apple did...like I forgot when

Is this a failed attempt at a troll, or are you being serious?
Yeah battery died. Ask for a razr replacement.
He took it back to verizon and they replaced the phone. Kinda weird that it just would not respond. I got it to start to boot but then it just turned off. After that nothing even after letting it charge for a couple hours it was just dead.

had that issue myself, battery dead after a week... another razr died after 2 weeks..
I know this is gonna seem lame, but I thought all micro USB cables are created equal, but they aren't. I was using my Skyrocket micro USB charger to charge the RAZR, and it wouldn't charge. When I plugged in the one that came with the RAZR, it charged right up. Not sure if you're using a different cable, but its worth a shot...

White light on
hi all.
I have a razr xt910 as well that wont turn on either. When I plug it in i get a white light at the top left of the screen.
did anyone else experience this?
The white light meens that it's pluged in via USB, but the battery is too low to boot. fix by pluging it in to the wall.
If you have droped data go here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520970
My wifes dis the same thing with the white light. Used the wallcharger and it booted up in 15
I bought this phone when i was in usa about 2 months ago,i lost the charger that came with this phone , phone was running just fine till yesterday , till it ran out of battery and switched off by itself , now when i connect the wall charger (the samsung one) it does,nt switches on or take charge , i tried to hard reset but no go, it ,does,nt responses on any button combo i found on this forum , only when i connect it with the usb data cable (the samsung one) it flashes white led light .... car charger did,nt work either ( its the chinese one )...
I have seen some people have this problem before when they let it completely discharge. Just plug it into whichever charger showed the white led and let it set for a little while (not really sure how long) and it will get a good enough charge to turn back on.

it is not possible for now as i lost the verizon slip , btw will buying this cable can help ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330778351680 ....
That cable would allow you to turn it on a long as it is plugged in. It actually bypasses thebattery with that cable. Butit will not charge it.
Try asking around at droidrzr.com
You may need to get an OEM charger.

my xt910 died
When my razr died. Nothing could turn it back on once. I had to call warranty. They said a eletronic component was replaced. But never informed which one. I suggest you to try any other moto charger, not the vehicle model, to see if there's a chance it work. And at last, try all the combination with the power and volumes buttons.
Best Regards,
Mauro.

i had flashed CM10 by dragonkiller and all was working fine. i was getting annoyed by minor bugs, so i decided to go to ecplise 2.3 (which was an upgrade from my last rom, eclipse 2.1). ive had it on the phone before and know what im doing.. started by SBFing to 2.3.4, but there was a problem right away. after RSD rebooted my phone i got stuck on the M screen with an error saying "modem failed to power up". since then i have not found a solution and nothing i have tried on my own has fixed the problem. trying to get the stock system recovery to run will display the error "battery is too low to flash" no matter how long i leave the phone charging.. please help! 2 days with no phone already, i cant afford a new one and i rely on this for work!
I've gotten that error message before and gotten out of it fine. First thing you will need to do is charge your battery. Find another Droid X2 or X user and swap batteries, buy an external charger, or take it to the store and *see* if they will charge it for you. After that replace the battery in the phone. With it off, hold volume up and power. When the screen turns on release power and continue holding volume up untill "starting RSD Protocol" appears... plug in and SBF as normal. You could also try the EzSBF but that did not work for me when i got the modem error. RSD should work assuming you have the proper drivers installed.
Likely what happened is your battery died mid flash or you had a bad SBF file and it failed the flash causing the phone to not be able to boot.
Happened to me before. As the software that charges your phone no longer exists, you can't charge the phone to SBF properly. I wound up stripping an old USB cable I had and made a "suicide cord" that I electrical taped to the battery for a few hours. (Red, +; black, -) Worked fine afterwards.

Moral of the story...charge your phone before you SBF.
And post questions in the Q&A thread.

I believe I flashed a ROM for the incorrect phone onto my photon. As a result, it will not boot normally. I don't know any combo to get it into recovery or fastboot. What should I try? Thanks.
Issue partially fixed...
When plugged in to charge (in order to boot) the phone's green notification light will blink on for 1-2 minutes and then turn off, and turn on again. While plugged into the pc, the device "unplugs" itself at that point... is this normal?
Problem solved...
The Photon does use a bit over 500mAh, so a cheapo USB charger won't work to boot it up, only "top" it off. Tried with my kindle charger (1.2A), no problems.

It was originally 2.3.4, then 2.3.5 deblurred and unlocked. ROM turned out to be fine (joker's JB v0.03 beta that I got rebranded on a chinese site which claimed FULL CAMERA SUPPORT, that was bull**** and was unstable). I'm running CM 10.1, 4.2.1, enjoying a few more things that I would with gingerbread (but chrome is still buggy, HWA is bad, and camcorder past 640x480 is bad).
I have searched all over and tried all of the power + vol, +/- , usb, pc chargers etc...I get the solid white light when plugged in. The PC recognizes the phone I assume because the computer makes connection noises and moto drivers popup to install. It is stock, unrooted running JB and has been rebooting and not turning back on right away for a few weeks now until last night where it was on the charger all night and now is 100% dead. Any options? I cant seem to find a final working answer? Will it come down to needing to get a factory usb cable to enter fastboot, even which, what to do from that point?

OK here is how to make your stock cable into a factory cable http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075647
Now that will let you flash it without it being charged. I would recommended flashing a stock sbf for your phone model and provider also make sure you use the jb one ics won't work. Also I recommend using rsd for the flashing process
OK thanks I'll soldier one up tonight and try it out. Can someone send me a link to the sbf files? Which version of rsd is recommended?

Thanks for your help. I tried the cable but my iron is too big to complete the job and I pulled out the wires by mistake. I spent the $10 shipped on eBay instead. It should be here by Friday and I'll sbf. Haven't done so since my droid 2/x days lol

after many tries of plugging in usb, it finally went into fastboot where RSD was able to recognized it. I SBF'd, it completed then said it needed to reboot. It wouldn't reboot on its on probably because I had the program factory usb cable attached. Still got nothing after that, power button, hold vol down, hold both, wall charger, pc charger etc...I still get a white blinking light then solid then off when in the wall charger. The computer just makes the connect and disconnect noise for like 4 minutes then it does nothing. I'm still having trouble trying to get it back into fastboot with factory cable, its totally random when it decides to accept it. I'm out of ideas?
Do you have a multimeter? And if so, have you ever removed the back of your phone?
If you're willing to, (at your own risk, as this will void a warranty), you can remove the back of the phone, and check the voltage/amps on your battery and charging contacts. Unscrew the contacts (using a very, very small torx driver), and check the voltage on the battery (3.8~ I believe), and voltage/amps on the phone contacts with the charger plugged in (and battery disconnected). If there is current, then the battery is being charged. Watch the behavior of the phone and LED as you're doing this, as it could tell you if and when you current is steady. I may be wrong, but a flashing LED means charging, and steady means charged/not charging (for various reasons). There may be a physical problem with the USB port on your phone, causing intermittent connection problems, leading to the flashing and power-up issues altogether.
In reference to the connect/ disconnect on the computer, in Control Panel>Device Manager>USB Controllers, I uninstalled (not disabled) both my Root Hubs and Host Controllers, and Windows being Windows, it automatically reinstalled the proper drivers. Voila, my phone was once again recognized. (Done with my SGS3, though device type is moot with this idea.)
Good luck!
I've spent too much wasted time messing with it. To the graveyard drawer with the droid 1, HTC rezound and now the RAZR it goes
