[Help] HDD not found under Win7 with MTP - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a Archos 101G9 Turbo (1,5 Mhz) with a 250 GB HDD. Since yesterday, I have no access to this hard drive under Windows7. Instead of the Tablet icon a phone icon in the Explorer is displayed now me and the drive is empty. Both the record and the content is available under android. About ADB I can access the HDD.
I've tried the following:
Newly installed Windows Media Player and Windows media center
Storage carried out wipe of the SDE
Newly installed update Android 4.0.6 ([email protected]_04.06.2012)
All measures have brought no positive result. I have installed the custom ROM by surdu_petru. Unfortunately I can not associate the problem. I don't know whether the problem lies with the archos tablet or Windows7 Ultimate with SP1. Do you have a solution for this problem? Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello,
so, since no one had a solution up to now, have I installed the ungerootet on my ARCHOS firmware 4.0.7 (4.0.3) and newly established the tablet to the root. Now I have the internal memory available under Windows7 Ultimate again.

[Q] Droidexplorer

Hi all,
i've yesterday rooted my Archos 10.1 with the howto from here and all works fine.
Today i have tested a connection with Droidexplorer, but DE can't find my device.
USB debugging is enabled and USB drivers from archos website are installed.
Can anybody access his device with droid explorer? If yes, can you share your settings with us?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I tried it with my Archos 32 and the same happens to me. Installed the usb drivers supplied by Archos.
I looked a bit and this will get you going: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7672554&postcount=23

[Q] Archos 101 G9 Turbo Wifi Streaming Problem

Device: Archos 101 G9 Turbo (1,5 ghz)
Android: official 4.0.7 (4.0.3)
problem: wifi and streaming videos
question: will rooting/downgrade/custom rom solve my problem?
hello xda,
2 weeks ago i bought the Archos G9 101 Turbo, the main reason to use it is to watch my movies and series i have on my computer. the problem is that my archos almost can't connect to my pc.. SMB doesnt work at all, it keeps asking for login and password, and with upnp the videos are displayed, but when i want to play them i get an error saying mediaserver stopped or mediaserver error, i tried every video player, all stop or they give a terrible weird image for a while and after that crash. even with ES file explorer or the unofficial xbmc it wont work i've read on forums that there are more wifi and streaming problems with the G9 101 and i am thinking to returm my tablet, but first i want to know if my problems can be solved by rooting it and downgrade it/custom rom.. Please help! if i root it and it wont work i cant return it because rooting it will void the warranty... so.. my question is:
will rooting/downgrade/custom rom solve my problem:?

No, installing custom rom wont speed up the tablets wifi. It might help with bad/weird image, but its not worth risk IMO.

Try to setup a user with a username & password on your PC, then use that to login from your Archos, restarts of your PC & tablet will be required... When I was running official ROMs I occasionally had some issues connecting to shared folders on my PC, but this was more a Windows 7 issue than an Archos one. Once I moved to Ubuntu and the initial issues with users/user groups I have no problems, though because the Archos file manager can't work on CM9 I use ES File Explorer.

[Q] Navon Raptor 7 - storage/adb drivers problems

Hello everyone
I have recently bought the Navon Raptor 7 and now I'm having some issues.
The internal storage is a bit too small for the apps I want to install and I would like to make the SD-card the default install location.
I know there's ways to do it though ADB, but I just can't get any of the drivers for the rk3066 working.
Most of them say that they couldn't find the correct software for my device or that the driver was found but that there was an error during installation.
My operating system is Windows 8 64-bit
Thanks in advance
nobody here?
So there is nobody knowing something about that?

KDLinks a200 (telechips tcc8935) firmware?

Hey everyone! I have been playing with a kdlinks a200 lately for fun.. unfortunately the filesystem has been corrupted and my backup didn't save correctly. I am having some major trouble finding firmware files for this to use. anyone have any ideas? i saw the mele x1000 uses the same chip as this, and i have tried following that proceedure to try and rebuild the filesystem with no avail. how about forcing FWDN to install firmware? the error i get in fwdn is some hardware issue. Thanks!
Clarification needed

I also own an A200 and two Kdlinks HD700s, so I am very familiar with this product.
I have a dedicated network media server with 16 TB of storage configured as a Raid 10, with FreeNas for my operating system. Even though FreeNas can be run from a flash or thumb drive, I have it installed on an SSD drive. I have a backup on a flash drive.
Before I can answer your questions I need to know:
1. When you say file system, are you referring to the A200 firmware (which is not a file system)?
2. Is your media stored on a hard drive, external or internal, that is connected to your A200?
3. Are your files stored on a network media server in a Raid configuration? If so, what is the operating system and what raid configuration are you using and how many drives are in the raid?
4. What method do you use to copy files to your media storage. For example, I use Windows File manager.
If your A200 is working fine, then the firmware is not your problem.
If it is a network server configured as a raid then the problem is either a drive or drives within the raid or the drive the operating system is installed on.
Hopefully the problem is the A200. It hasn't been out that long so it should still be under warranty. I know Eric at Kdlinks, if you contact him ([email protected]) he will get back to you withing 24 hrs.
i get a message tha says unfortunately KIUI has stoped

Android 8.1.0 on FUSION5 - No Touchpad

Hi Guys,
I've searched the rest of the forums but haven't found an answer. I installed Android 8.1.0 onto a FUSION5 Win 10 Tablet, everything is working fine apart from the toucscreen.
This is only my second attempt at this so be gentle.
I wiped the drive from a windows and created a partition via the command promt then installed Android via a USB Stick. As I said Android is running apart from touchpad capability, can someone direct me to a post or tell me how to get the touchscreen working.
Thanks and sorry if it is a repetitve request.
Jay
