strange problem after flashing room in my sgs2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I don't understand your question/problem at all and I doubt I'm alone. Try and rephrase it. If you're unable, the rules allow you to post in another language (i.e. your native language), as long as you also include a translation to English. Doing this might give you better results.

if im correct he wanted to know why after wipe and flashing a new rom which i think is stock Gb he is not getting welcome screen / first setup screen, where you set time, region and language...

Flash Gapps after flashing a ROM.
Usually a gapps link is included on every OP page of a ROM thread if not built in the ROM.
P.S.
I almost had a heart attack reading your 1st post. Joke!

Ive been happily using shooter's custom rom on my evo 3d. however i have rs 1 and i want to upgrade to rs3
can anyone describe or point me in the right direction to do this upgrade? do i have to do a full wipe? or can i just apply the new rs3 like i did rs1?

No. You did not.
great here we go..
Download superwipe from virus thread flash it. For rsl 3 you need to first flash rsl 2.1 them flash rsl 3 without wiping
Lastly this is a question wrong forum dude this belongs in evo q and a not development

i mean i see posts like this:

and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053877
by doing a search like this, but none of these address my question:

Why didn't you ask in the thread of the rom?
What part of THIS in the download links did you not see?

That's just sad. Why would you search anywhere else except the thread itself?
To answer your question: No you cannot just flash RLS3 by itself. This is only an update to the RLS2.1 ...So flash RLS2.1 then wipe cache and dalvik and then flash the RLS3.

Steps to go from ICS to GB -custom ROM's

Hi there!
As i have try to find info about downgrading ROM's with no success. (It's big forum indeed).
I have installed ICS XXLPH. Rooted and CWM-ed with Chainfire kernel.
If i want to install custom GB ROM's with CWM are there some precautions that has to be taken prior to go from ICS to GB?
Thanks a lot!
Brgds,
M.
You can just flash immediately from CWM with no problems, there are no actual precautions. However, you will need to wipe all of your data, cache and dalvik COMPLETELY before flashing because any ICS data will not be compatible with GB (otherwise, you'll just have non-stop crashing and force close issues)
Step 1 - use the search button

Use Odin and flash a rom(2.3.6) which have bootlader for example XWKK5.
Here is bootlader:

[HELP] GT-I9300 doesn't boot in stock

First of all i apologize if i don't post this thread in the right place and if there's already a thread about this but i looked a lot and found nothing.
My problem is that i cant make my phone boot in stock rom ics.
I tried with lots of stock roms, not just from my country, but also from anothers, but i can use JB rom (from Poland right now, in omega rom) without any problem.
The phone is stuck at bootloader, and if i wipe data/factory reset, it get's stuck in the language selection screen and if i touch it, anything happens.
Also i tried to flash roms like cyanogenmod and aosp rom and they just stay on bootloader and nothings happen if i wipe everything.
I appreciate if someone helps me and sorry for my bad english.

I don't know, but if JB are OK I would not worry, just stay with a JB ROM.
Do a factory reset after the flash

I actualy loved JB, but the main reason is because that i can't test any rom other than Omega (they just get stuck on the bootloader and i read it may be because my JB stock rom) and the other reason is because that's a very weird bug, and i'm very curious about it

I did a factory reset before and after the flash and it's still the same. Do i have to format the complete sdcard? including the pictures and the music and all that stuff?

no, but always worth a try, but backup first
I just solve it and its weird. I had to do a full reset with stock recovery and then I can boot in stock rom and even use rom's like cyamogenmod or aosp.
I don't know what was the problem but now is solved
Thanks a lot to all for your help

[Q] over heating after rom flashed

I´ve flashed S4 Revolution v6 rom with no problems at all.
After going on a tour my i9300 reached 43º. I thought it was just me getting excited but it still happens.
I´m using titanium backup and removed all apps I didn´t want but didn´t improve.
After idle it´s ok but as I start using net or a few multitasks.... 43º again
Also, I´ve deleted cache, dalvik and factory as well and flashed again with no luck.
On another note, on previous S4 Revolution v5 it was fine.
Any ideas please???
Wipe phone flash stock rom and test and or read the rom thread .

any way that is based on a leaked rom and hence bugs are expected. tweak according to your requirements. else mega wipe and flash the rom again.

funny enough I had version 5 for some time and worked fine.
Heating can sometimes be caused by the kernel.Wipe cache partition and flash a custom kernel.

reinstalled rom after complete wipe and it´s working fine.
thanks
