Yes I would do that. I'm using it with DoomLord's kernel and it works great

I installed Doomlord's kernel but it slowed my phone so much that it looked like it was underclocked all the time. Now I installed stock kernel and looks like that it's working great.

[Q] Problem Regarding Doom's Kernel!

Hello all,
Okk,actually story starts from the day custom kernels are released. Here we go:
I was on wb v4 when actually doom released his custom kernels,he had two versions X/S AND FS Series.First i tried x/s series kernel and was stuck on XPERIA logo. Then,i tried FS Series it worked but cant overclock.. then i came to know that coz of some files in the ROM,u cant install x/s series untill u delete those files.
Then,WB released v5,again first i tried custom version but then also i was stuck on xperia logo. Then,i tried stock version it worked but u cant overclock.I decided to retain on stock version for some time.
Then WB released v6,now i tried gaming ROM first but guess what? I was again stuck on xperia logo.I flashed Doom's fs kernel then the ROM worked but u cant overclock.
WHENEVER I FLASHED ANY CUSTOM KERNEL OR CUSTOM ROM WITH THE CUSTOM KERNEL I WAS STUCK ON XPERIA LOGO....
I am not able to boot wb's gaming rom, always stuck on xperia logo.
Need help...
P.S. BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED.
EDIT 1:
Noticed one thing when i flashed doom's kernel v4b, it doesn't vibrate when u power it ON.
But with FS kernel it does...argh!! what the hell!!

The fact that you can install ROMs means that you have xrecovery installed and rooted 2.3.3. So my only advice would be to make sure your on the right baseband .71 and the original stock kernel. Then install wolf gaming rom. If you still can't boot up...then start from a completely clean 2.3.3 GB STOCK ROM and try over again. OR your phone is serious and cannot handle any OC or UC or UV or OV and that is possible since other users have similar issues.
nice username. By the way ZEUS raped his sister.

P.S i tried repairing it with SEUS it does repaired, i rooted it, then intalled xrecovery, then cleanly installed WB's Gaming ROM and again stuck on Xperia logo...
anyone who can help me here..??
bump!
How does it behave after flashing SE kernel (repair with SEUS or FT)? Did you boot and test before rooting again?

KA6 Ice Cream Sony Boot Loop

Hi
I have tried all day to install ICS on my Neo V, and I always end up in a boot loop (after the XPERIA logo it restarts). I have tried KA06 ICS and another Sony based ICS ROM.
I'm pretty new to this and I'm not sure what info you need so please ask away.
One thing I noticed is that whenever I clear the dalvic-cache it gives an error (not mounted or something i think?)
Thanks

Did you succesfully unlocked your bootloader and installed a custom kernel?
Thats what i did to install k6 on my neo v.
1º Flash .64 baseband.
2º Flash .62 baseband with flashtools(check exclude baseband).
3º Flash kernel.
4º Recovery wipe all + install k6.
5º Flash neo-v patch.
if i install .64 baseband im stuck on xperia boot image loops.

Sorry for my bad English...
@krabappel2548 It came unlocked and with a custom 2.3 rom when I bought it. I can install a stock 2.3 rom using flashtool fine.
@equlog Yes this time I didn't flash the 64 baseband from the KA thread and just left the stock one on. (I had .62 stock)
@wilsonchuchu I tried that but it didn't help
EDIT: Somehow it works now! I flashed the stock rom again and have been using it for a while (I rebooted a couple of times), then I flashed the non-oc kernel and this time I was able to clear the dalvic-cache. The rest worked fine and I've just booted in to the phone. I'm not sure why it worked this time because I've been doing this all day.
Now for KA7 lol
Thanks for your help

You're welcome I also updated Neo V patch
KA06 looks really good, just one problem so far (if you can call it that) the cosmic flow live wallpaper crashes every time I try to add it. The other live wallpapers work. Is this because the hardware acceleration isn't fully implemented yet?
Downloading KA07 now

Will u made a mod when sony release official ics? i hope ^^
I've just been reading some more about the fw/basebands and it looks like the .62 firmware does include the .64 baseband. Looking in about phone seems to confirm that. Am I right?
.62 f/w has .64 baseband
Thanks, so for anybody else having problems with the Neo V it seems the best way would be:
1: Flash .62 firmware
2: Flash KA kernel.
3: Boot into recovery, wipe all + install KA.
4: Flash neo-v patch.
Here is the stock firmware .62 as an update.zip (for installing with ClockWorkMod): http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1518148
These are for flashtools: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1445974 (I used this one), http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1492145

I think I may have found the battery life problem. Looking at the battery usage under settings, the gallery app shows by far the most battery usage. When I go to apps and find gallery I see it's running a service called picassa sync. Disabling picassa sync on all the Google accounts and then force closing the gallery app seems to fix the battery usage. Can some other people please try it and confirm if it works?
After doing this the cpu time and amount of the battery used by the gallery app does not get any higher, even if I make sure the gallery is running again and it moves down the list and the highest battery usage becomes the screen.

happened to me just now in KA12 ICS after I tried to remove the onscreen buttons
off topic
and about the widgets.. did anyone seems to have a problem with it? I have this battery widget after putting it up in homescreen, it doesn't move at all though the battery is decreasing, the widget stays the same. Same with player pro widget, you can press the next button fine but the music title and the album thumbnail stays.

You need to flash a different kernel mate
Go check for a kernel which might work best for you. Deep sleep was/is a known issue on lp9...

Why are you cfrooting a custom ROM?
Why are you cfrooting GB kernel on ICS ROM?
Use the Singapore lp9, no issues like other lp9 that is horrible.

So, i've installed the SiyahKernel.
I've installed a rooted kernel cause with the one that i got when i've bought the phone it wont let me install a custom rom.
My target is to install a stock ROM (only rooted) with a kernel that allow me to install that rom, that's it.
With this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1569686 (it have been updated some days ago) and syrah kernel im done?
Or you raccomend another kernel/rom?
Thank you for the answers, btw
do a neat flash use stock rom and ,for rooting use the cf root which is resembelent to ur kernel, rom, csc, etc and for getting rid of the traingle use the stock kernel z image an flash it(this is for gb)then u can take any custum kernel z image and push it via cwm...if ur on ics then better use a stable version instead of rc,alpha.beta..............cheeeeeeerz

MiniCM7Pro will only run on the stock kernel, there was no need to unlock your bootloader, and most certainly not to install a custom kernel. Get back to stock kernel (I think there's a link provided for a kernel you can flash with flashtool) and then run MiniCM7Pro.

No, the order doesn't really matter, but your phone will only work if you pair the right kernel and the right rom together. The ROM post will state which kernel it will run on.
so for:
MiniCM7Pro - Stock Kernel
MiniCM7 - nAa-13 Gingerbread kernel
ArcMiniNxt - Just about every kernel
MiniCM9 - nAa-04 ICS kernel

Just about all roms that state they're based on CyanogenMod (CM) include App2SD by default, all you have to do it activate it in settings.
ArcMiniNxt is a Gingerbread ROM with a sony ericsson framework, so it will look and work a bit like the original firmware, but based on Gingerbread, and it will run on the stock kernel. It seems smooth and easy on battery-life.
MiniCM7 is sort of the 'default' ROM to go for if you want Android look-and-feel, it is further developed than MiniCM7Pro, but you will need the nAa-gingerbread kernel for it. It is also very smooth and fast.
Mind you, nothing is perfect, you can expect some problems with your keyboard layout and keyboard lights on all Gingerbread ROMS, but there are fixes for that if you care to search through the x10minipro development forum

Similar issue.
I have tried installing this several times to no avial.
I have installed the base 4.0.4 Stock rom - then DOOM kernel - Then installed the KA11 - Then installed Advanced ICS Kernel - then flashed the V5 kernel to go with the ROM... and all i get is the hanging on boot and then eventual reboot.
I have tried flashing it all through aurora - still nothing even on GB KERNEL - Previous kernel V3 everyone that I can think of.
The only way I can get KA11 to work is if I use Advanced ICS kernel. I do the full wipe and davlik... also fix permissions. I have almost tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas.
I am all out. I would love to try this rom... I have flashed a lot of units without issue... THEN THIS... lol
Cheers.
hey try this install ka11 then use xsx kernel it has oc also but up to 1.7 only, after 1 day or 1 night install the ka v5 kernel, works for me, at first i got bootloop with ka kernel but after using xsx for a night, i installed ka kernel v5 and got no bootloop. good luck
I got it working

I flashed STOCK - then installed Doom. Installed KA11 with Auroa - then cleared davlik again and cleared cache etc... I then flashed XSX and boom. All works. FINALLY. Don't know if i want to install KA kernel V5 now
Cheers mate.
I'm having force close to mostly every app I have, even when I'm setting a new wallpaper. I think KA11 has still more bugs, so I'm still waiting for an update/bug fix
